Wonder Woman by Perez is the Go To Run when it comes to Diana?
Perez
Messner-Loebs
Byrne
Luke
Jimenez
Rucka
Heinberg/Picoult
Simone
Straczynski
Azzarello

Perez shaped the "modern" WW pre-New52, but can come across as dated. Messner-Loebs went for sci-fi and street level, created Artemis, and put Diana in a leather jacket. Byrne introduced WW to Etrigan and the New Gods, created Wonder Girl (Cassie), and replaced Diana with her mom for a while. Luke went outside Greek mythology to introduce WW to other pantheons and heroes, but is easily overlooked. Jimenez was the spiritual successor to Perez, with a run that reinforced the core of WW. Rucka crafted a smart, world-building examination of WW with his run, and would have done more if the "Infinite Crisis" soft-reboot hadn't ruined his plans. Heinberg/Picoult carried out DC's plans for WW, but were plagued by delays and a HILARIOUSLY bad event by any standard. Simone succeeded them by doing things her way and was generally well-received, with both ups (a tweaked origin) and downs (Genocide). Straczynski came aboard to reboot WW before the New52 reboot, and got flak during and after leaving the book mid-story. And Azzarello has yielded the best showing of WW of the New52 so far.

Perez, Jimenez, Rucka, Azzarello, mmmmaybe Simone, the rest depending on your interests.

Another one bites the dust... Seems like Gail Simmone will leaving DC after Convergence... She tweeted that she wont write any Capebooks after the event...

2015 is the year, everyone left the big two :(

Anybody here on Comics|GAF play Heroclix?

They just announced the convention exclusive figures for this year and they're pretty slick:

Thanks^^

You misunderstood her. She doesn't consider the Secret Six "super heroes". At best, they are anti-heroes. She will still be writing that.

I don't know anything about Heroclix, but if that Supreme Intelligence one looks as good in person as it does in that pic, I'd love to have it on my desk at work.

So over the past two days I finally started reading my Transformers stuff. Read Last Stand of the Wreckers and the first volumes of MTMTE and RID. Last Stand of the Wreckers was mostly just okay, actually had me a little worried that I just couldn't relate to giant transforming robot characters that well and that there's way to many characters and concepts I don't know from the universe. Then I did MTMTE (I think, still getting them mixed up a little. The one with Rodimus, not Bumblebee). And THAT was great. Just plain fun stuff that really worked. RID was a disappointment, but only by comparison since I had just read the other volume immediately beforehand. I definitely liked Starscream and his role at least and it's hitting a number of interesting notes and works well, so it's still certainly good, just not as good as the other series. Also, wasn't expecting Arcee to be such a jerk of a character, but then again I REALLY don't know much Transformers.

That's kind of the majority reaction I would say. MTMTE is where the fun is at. You've got some good times ahead.

My backlog cleanse continues. Fuse is one of the most perfect comics for me. Fits my tastes to a tee. I love crime/mystery/police procedurals fiction and I love scifi. Mash the two together and Fuse is the result. One of those where I stayed up late reading the next issue because it needed to be done. Hope the first arc ends well.

MTMTE is the secret best comic around.

Do any of you play PC games? My brother gave me his old graphics card (a 680 GTX) and I bought a headset/mic finally, so I've been looking for people to play co-op with... I have Dying Light, Borderlands 2, and would be down to buy anything relatively cheap.

tl;dr - Please be my friend. :(

David Lafuente knocked the art out of the park in this weeks Batman Eternal. It was also one of the best issues so far IMO.
Stef and Harper being besties while freaking out about Selinas suit and then her shirt was adorable. Put Lafuente on a Harper or Stef solo book and I will read it.

Same name on Steam as here. I am mostly playing Hearthstone and Football Manager these days though, with occasional breaks for the Abrams Star Trek game (it's buggy as fuck, but it was also cheaper than a Marvel #1 so whatevs).

Played Borderlands 2 for almost 80 hours and cleared everything. It's really good with friends but it does get repetitive. I played the Commando class, was pretty fun, especially once you get a Sabre Turret with two guns. The best part is probably the Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC, it was doubly funny as I was DMing a Pathfinder game for the same group around that time.

Going to get a new rig in time for the Summer Sale provided the jawb works out. i7 (because I'll be YouTubing/Twitching), at least 16GB RAM and a GTX 980 because I don't trust the 970 after the memory issue. I realised I spend a ton of time at my PC, so no reason not to make it awesome.

My video game and comic backlogs are both terrible

I say this as I continue to watch (and actually finish) anime in my spare time

Oh, I've given up on backlogs. I own too many things that I'll never finish or play more than a couple hours on. At this point I'll be happy if I can beat two or three more JRPGs in the decade.

don't get me started on TV of any sort, got so many shows half-watched

I actually haven't read a comic for a few weeks. I still buy them, of course, but I haven't so much as glanced at the oul' tablet for awhile now. Well, apart from blasting through a dozen issues of Star Trek Ongoing while in the doctor's waiting room

I had 2 months where I was basically doing nothing but vegging and reading, now I got shit to do. When I'm busy with work and errands, I actually find I'm more likely to play games when I have some free time.

It would also help if I could find a decent wordz book to read as well, but I finished off Good Omens (and the radio drama version) and The Once and Future King over Christmas and not much is going to live up to those TBH.

I've pretty much given up on TV as well, apart from NXT. Just can't be bothered any more, hate the whole culture around modern television.

Thor was a good issue. Loved Thor saying
"Well I hope not" after getting kissed lol
. I love how unsure of herself Thor is in her inner monolog. She is totally freaking out lol.

I'm reading a lot of wordz books but haven't read any comics this month, even though I've bought some I'm excited to read or reread. Just haven't been into it

It really is just a fun ride. I know it had a few covers that played off of the old Giffen/Maguire/DeMatteis JLI run, but it does have a similar feel of characters that can be very fallible, but are funny and interact interestingly with one another. I think people that liked the old JLI would mostly like MTMTE.
