I was just wondering the other day where that guy was. It was always interesting to see the covers from the whole other side of comics I never otherwise remember exists.

I've been picking up Sonic stuff. The stuff once Ian Flynn took over is actually decent. I've also got way too much morbid curiosity for my own good, so I've been picking up the Legacy (pretty much the equivalent of Marvel's Essentials) as they come out, and... let's just say I'm really glad that Ken Penders took into his own hands to force his (terrible) creations out of continuity. I'm also secretly hoping that they collect the Knuckles series into a big cheap edition eventually as well, because that has to be just so mindnumbingly awful that I just need to experience it.

Thank god the Mega Man comic is at least just straight up good, though.

Edit: To counter my terrible buying habits, let me just say that I'm just about to sit down and start reading the Uncanny X-Force Omnibus.

I'm trying to read GL until the end of John's run at #20. At the moment, I finished Blackest Night and am thinking about starting Brightest Day. I'm not so sure if I should get that series because I can't really stand the rest of the DC heroes except for the everyone in the Justice League minus Flash.

Wow, those look great! I've been getting sketches/prints from whatever paper stock the artist has. I'm running out of room on my walls to hang everything up. Instead, I'm changing it up this year ever since I got a convention sketchbook that I need to fill up.

I also really liked the two part Legends of the Dark Knight story from #49-50, by Jim Zub and Neil Googe. That was fun.

I have a SP2 and my only problem with it is that the comics are not in HD, unless that's been fixed recently

edit: added everyone that was on the PSN list.

Whenever I've flicked through them they seem like 90s soft porn but with less of the porn.

My stance on porn comics has been iterated many times, suffice it to say I think we need more of them and a more honest approach to sex in comics. I think exploitative titillation books should just go for it, you know? Just throw every fantasy on the pile.

Fuck yeah IMPULSE! Fuck the legion, Messi should read Impulse. Everyone should read Impulse 1-25, it's just perfect comics. Bart Allen was THE BEST.

Now this has gone and upset me. Fuck Dan DiDio and what he did to my Titans.

Whoa whoa whoa. I can get down for some Impulse love, but don't deny Xs. She's so delightful. I loved how much she adored Bart.

I bought the first 3 issues. I just recall people singing it's praises earlier in the thread and I love Paul Dini, but you're right. I'll check out a few and then see how I fare.

She's cool, but that page is from Impulse and it gave me a nostalgia boner. I love her stay with Bart - that issue where he plays the guitar is one of the formative comics of my whole life, 4 reals.

As I get older I look back on the book even more fondly, it's like the Freaks and Geeks of superheroes. So sweet, so good natured, full of life lessons.

The praise might be unduly biased since we got Messi up in this crib :p

Controversial-Jed-being-a-cunt time: Dini's comics work is mostly pretty underwhelming, and while this series had a great premise and start it pretty quickly falls into that weird "girly-hijinx" netherworld. Not dramatic or real enough to be an OMG THIS JUST HAPPENED book (unlike something like Winick's nu52 Catwoman run which was pretty incredible for a while), but not quite funny/sexy enough to win on those terms either. It's certainly OK, but it never quite pulled through on the promise that Dini writing Harley should have. March is off and on the book too so it's not even consistent with the eye candy.

Anyway, YMMV of course, you might well love it and if so more power to ya :)

Math time, is the new printing of Sirens not the complete series? If it is then this isn't a sale. $26 for something you can get for $20 on Amazon and probably $14 or so on IST.
