It really has nothing todo with Eternal. I imagine out of the events of Eternal, Gordon sets up this squad with the support of Batman. It's basically the X-Files of Gotham.
I fnished it too, it was real good!! ^_^bNow that Superior Foes and New Warriors are over, I think I'm gonna go all digital too. I don't want to deal with floppies in my room anymore...
Anyways, Superior Foes 17, this book right? Absolute classic. I wish I could put into words how much I love this comic. Spencer and Lieber gave us a comic full of love and heart and it shows. The ending was as perfect as it could ever get, and I'm happy this book could exist. If you haven't read any of it, you really should give it a chance. I can't praise it enough. Marvel really needs to give this series an omnibus or OHC or something-- it's really something special.

Yeah, I'm way too young to have had any contact with GI Joe and the Transformers I remember most fondly was the Beast Wars stuff. Just go with it, part of the fun for me is not knowing who the heck these characters are for the most part.
I got my comics just now. 4 books. What the hell guys. This hasn't happened in nearly a year. It's never south of 10 books.

Oh yeah, my time with the game has been a disaster so far. 8 gigs of ram, 970, brand new motherboard and it runs like I'm playing it on a 14 year old computer.
Edit: I'm surprised that some of you artsy fuckers haven't said shit about Ody-C yet. That book really is incredible.

Did read up on Casanova Complete Edition tho. The 2007/2010 annotations in the back are still great, but what's even better is 2014 Matt has a bit of commentary on his own commentary. Some of is informal, some of its funny, some of is embarrassment(2007 Fraction used the word "retarded" as a insult which he couldn't apology enough for), some of it revealing(how his switching up on the racist bone-nose niggers from 2005 King Kong accidentally made them into another racist stereotype of Magical Negroes), and some of it just interesting. I also reread that interview with Michael Chabon, about despite how much he loves all the genre shit, he's not unaware of how women tend to be portrayed. He activately attempts to show full frontal male nudity anywhere he can to try and tip the sexual objectification just a little bit, or how he tries to write with his daughter in mind.
This was back in 2010, so I'm gonna go ahead and throw Kate Bishop in there as well, and I'm pretty damn sure the whole intention of Ody-C was to give his daughter some kick-ass women to read about.
edit: and I had to guess who's idea was it to make the revolution leader over the old ass corrupt dudes a woman in Immortal Iron Fist, I bet it was Fraction and not Brubaker

Do trades include spreads or do they remove them? The first page is a fold out timeline establishing the world. It's insane. If not I would pick up issue #1 for that shit.

It's amazing th turn around on Catwoman with the new creative team. Today's issue was great. Slow burn in the beginning and the muddy stlye art doesn't work well with lots of characters in a room talking but shines in the night of Gotham and action scenes.

Arkham Manor heated up near the end and bought its self another issue. Still not sold on the premise.
The first arc has more Brubaker involvement (Pulp Iron Fist being one of the giveaways ofc) than after, which Brubaker has said was mostly Fraction in his AV Club interview way back when.
Usually when Marvel titles have co-writers where one is more established than the other, it's the less-established writer who is doing the heavy-lifting
Justice League #36 was a bore. I feel bad that it's likely i'm only buying this book incase it sets up the next event, i don't want to abandon DC universe continuity entirely, but since everything is weeklies that i don't buy, it probably wouldn't hurt to drop it. I don't like feeling left out.
Yeah, he basically says as much in interviews and in the backmatter. Fraction's a really cool dude.

Brubaker did an interview about them in AV Club. You can kinda see the division of work there, Brubaker wanted the pulpy flashbacks and the narration captions kinda thing and Fraction like "so these women assassins right, they can turn into fuckin' cranes like a Shaw Brothers movie or some shit, and there's this Maglev train that tunnels itself into a portal straight into the Seven Cities of Heaven". The second half is more Fraction than anything; Bru would come back and polish up scene transitions or maybe change a few words around. My policy was "if you see a character talking like this...with a bunch of ellipsis...and they say 'Damn it...'...clearly Brubaker wrote this"
But by the end, its pretty clear Fraction is doing the writing here
plus there are some issues he exclusively wrote, like the Pirate Lady issue or the epilogue or Indian Iron Fist issue

Batman Eternal was fantastic. It's like we know the basic fallout from Eternal but the main mystery behind the book is still very much entertaining.
