Anyone else read Green Arrow?

Whens that story from GA Annual 1 meant to continue? Because in Green Arrow atm it's a completely different storyline and he hasn't
been bit by a Warg

I agree. I have been reading much more recently.

i've just been walking back and forth staring at my harley statue's paint bump thing debating if i'm exchanging it. No time for reading comics, this is serious.

I did manage to squeeze in Squirrel Girl #4.

SNYDER: Why AMERICAN VAMPIRE Is His Favorite Book, What Comes Next -- And The Finale

"Nrama: Scott, like your work on Batman, American Vampire: Second Cycle possesses your love of bombastic, out of this world action. Right now, the story seems focused on bringing each of the different members of the VMS – past and present – together to successfully prevent the Soviets from launching a nuclear assault on the United States from space while simultaneously eliminating the Grey Trader from beneath the sands of Area 51.

Yet with all these big concepts and setpieces, American Vampire originally struck a chord with readers due to the humanity of its inhuman cast. How are you carrying this element of the story forward amidst the fast-paced chaos?

Scott Snyder: Wait until you see this issue. Something really, really dramatic happens to one of the main characters – either Skinner or Pearl – that’s going to change their overall trajectory. I think you’re going to see it and be like “Wait, what?!”

This arc is literally one of my favorites. It’s not just for the bombast but also for what it sets up for future arcs. Things are coming to a head.

Nrama: So, when that's over is that the definitive end of American Vampire?

Snyder: Something Raphael and I realized was that we don’t ever want to walk away from American Vampire. We’ll end this story; we’ll end this thing, but the truth is we’re probably going to continue with it afterward. It won’t be American Vampire, but maybe it’ll be something like “Present Day American Vampire: Cases.” You know how Mike Mignola does that with Hellboy? We could reunite and bring the characters together for cases. So, we have a whole plan for it."

Last issue next week and upcoming arc would be early 2016

I think that the core issue here is that Green Arrow kind of sucks these days, sadly. Probably not going to see a continuation of the Warg story any time soon.

Which is probably for the best, 'cause the Warg story also kind of sucked.

Batman Incorporated was pretty good but I still had a hard time following exactly what was going on. I leave it not really knowing what happened.

This is me with every single Grant Morrison story. I always feel like I skipped an issue because I can't make the plot line up in my head.

I don't always love his stuff, but no one can deny that the guy is great at selling.

Millar is really fantastic at comic "moments" and creating compelling characters, but as a fan I can say that my biggest critique is that he has a hard time following through on his work. I loved Supercrooks, but it could have used a few more issues. I feel similarly with Remender's Last Days of American Crime. Great looking book, but it's a little rushed.

Did you read the rest of Morrison's run leading up to Inc? If not you just read the last act of 6 or 7 year long story

Batman Inc. is the end of a pretty fucking big story that's been building over years. If you haven't, there's definitely going to be some stuff that feels lost.

Thanks for the help I just bought 40-45, I've only read the first volume of Justice League but I did like it.

No problem

That was all I've read except RIP. I didn't know they were that directly connected, but that probably explains it then.

Yeah, you need to read the whole thing:

Batman and Son
Batman RIP
Batman and Robin volume 1
Batman and Robin volume 2
Return of Bruce Wayne
Batman and Robin volume 3
Batman Incorporated volume 1
Batman Incorporated The Demon Star
Batman Incorporated Gotham's Most Wanted

Sounds like DC is planning something crazy for #50 issues?

Didio talks about returning to the old continuity through interweaving stories like titan hunt and Superman:

When should retailers and fans expect to see changes to the line reflecting strategies to reinvigorate the core audience?

Didio: It’s a slow roll. With the October launches of Batman and Robin Eternal, Titan’s Hunt and Lois and Clark you’ll see us starting to weave in our history. I think it’s important for us not just to look at what we’re telling in the future. One of the aspects of our storytelling that we lost, and we’ve heard this from the fans, is the generational aspect of the DC universe, the sense of history of what it was. We had a very hard start with the "New 52" and nobody had a history more than five years past (as we used our line in the sand). A lot of people felt that the history of the characters, the generational aspect of who they were was lost because of that. We’re going to great lengths to address that issue.

What you’ll see over the next couple of months is us wrapping up a couple of the story lines that are running currently. The #50 issues for a number of our books are coming together from the start of the "New 52." That feels special and we want to make it even more special. After that you’re going to start to see the universe weaving together in ways that will excite the older fans, but also excite the newer fans too as they start to see what the make-up of the DC universe is.

I've never been that hurt over the new 52, but I hope this means the return of some JSA characters.

Guessing Darkseid War ends at #50 (or have they said when it will?) Guessing Anti-monitor will have a heavy hand in the upcoming months. Haven't kept current on JL though.

I'm only six or seven issues into Batman Inc. but I don't think it's a particularly difficult read so far. Although, I have read basically everything leading up to it so that may help. It's certainly more tame than a lot of his other work.

I have all of the JL issues for Darkseid War so far, I really need to read them. I feel like I generally enjoy a lot of what Tim likes so I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

Good guy Ed delivers for good guy Bii once more.

I am curious as to what the appeal of the fat birds is. Is it just because they are nice art? I don't mean to offend, I struggle to understand fancy paper gaf just as I'm sure they don't understand us to an extent.

In regards to the fat birds specifically, it's just what Ed had said, they're cute and when framed, can be hanged basically anywhere in the house. And with many guests that I've had over, they always get positive comments. That and I'm totally into birds.

It wasn't amazing but I enjoyed it. GA isn't amazing either atm (Sadly) but it's still enjoyable

They don't give 20 million shits about Benghazi at this point.

posting four gifs of the person who killed those four Americans, one for each....it's tragic that you would do this. You know who never murdered four Americans? Trump.

Maybe Didio.

Sometimes i'm envious of Republicans, they get to make all the fun arguments :( Maybe if i vote for Trump i'll get to be a real conservative.

Atlantic City casino owner with no blood on his hands? I don't believe it.

Cliff Chiang moved his original art over to Felix Comic Art from Splash Page...all of the stuff on Splash Page is gone but hopefully it'll show up again on there. I need to continue occasionally looking up that page of Zatanna in her fancy space dress and tiny top hat and then not pulling the trigger on it.
