When I noticed the E3 Trailer of Conker: Live and Reloaded being post on xboxyde.com I was wondering if any news for this game has been spread?

When will we see this game in shops? worldwide launch? Europe first?
is this remake uncut because I heard some rumours they dropped that out of the game a few months ago...

so in other words: any news from Conker on E3?

all of that has been known for awhile, im too arsed to go look for it though.

I know its June 21 in the US. and if by uncut you mean swearing, you have to unlock it in the game first.

What he said (however I'm not positive about the unlockable swearing).

what's so funny about that? ;p Rareware is located in the UK, it's not the first time a game (origins in Europe) has been released in Europe first.

About the uncut, what about those chapters Nintendo didn't want in the final product because they were to rude etc? will they be included or unlockable?

FYI, a lot of RARE developed titles have shipped first in europe.

I know there's a Chapter X Epilogue level, but I don't think that has any relation to what was planned but not put into the N64 version. I think it reuses resources from the multiplayer, mainly the future-based version. (So probably Terminator parodies and the like. And of course, what we saw earlier,
Panther King in carbonite
.)

Sorry for upping an old topic, but I didn't think it was worth a new one. Anyway, for those doubting how incredible Conker looks, I give you this :
Just an idea of the height at the point I took the second image :
conker_1.png

Image captured just a bit later to show how high the 3rd image will be :
conker_2.png

And now the third image. Yes, everything is still "working" from that point of view and it stays smooth :
conker_3.png

Notice how everything gets a hazy look, and it's completely natural while playing. Later in the game the room with the "balls of steel" boss is stunning, you'd swear it's a big bitmap until everything starts moving.

These images are from the video preview I'll put online on June 1st. This game keeps amazing me visually, it's just the most graphically impressive game I've ever played. The lighting effects are about as perfect as it could be.

What's sad is...Conker on the N64 was released towards the end of the system's lifetime, and was shunned. What's even more sad is...Conker: Live and Reloaded might experience the same thing on the Xbox.

I think Conker's biggest problem on the N64 was its really bad marketing campaign. As long as MS can put together a decent one for this version it should do pretty good. It'll also be helped out if its BC with the 360.

That's true, but I don't think Xbox is as dead as was N64 when Conker was released. The momentum, the momentuuuuuuuuum. ;)

Just saw the
great mighty poo
for the first time. I knew the song, but seeing it with my own eyes is so much better :)

Currently playing this game for review... and while I think the level designs for the single player game are occasionally kinda blah, the graphics are fucking INCREDIBLE. Seriously, I have a hard time believing it's running on current gen hardware most of the time.

But will it be BC? It isn't Halo. If it is, I might get a 360 with Kameo early next year and wait out GoW.

Is it running at 30 or 60 fps? Which issue is it gonna be reviewed in?

Che Poowaaaaah!!

Keep us updated with what you played, please!

I want to know if its worth a purchase from a Conker vet when it was released on the N64. I'm sure the multiplayer additions and graphical splendor are worth the plunge but I want to know if they made the single-player better.

I couldnt agree more.
Did you get to try the multiplayer mode? I've played it a bit and for the moment I don't find it so hot. It's so cluttered with the names and gauges that sometimes it's really hard to understand what's going on, especially at the start of a round when you have all your team near you. Then again I'm not really a big fan of the FPS/TPS action genre, so I really can't tell if it's good or not.
Edit: it's running at 30 fps.
Edit2: If you want to take a look at the
great mighty poo
, click here. Some people might consider this a spoiler, so if you never played the N64 version, you've been warned.

I have a few quick questions for you BlimBlim,

1) Does multiplayer look as good as single player (i doubt it, but hopefully)
2) Does it use the Halo 2 party or matchmaking system or something like it?
3) How many players can you have online (1-8 or 1-12 or 1-16)?

1) No it's not as good, but it's already very nice
2) I could not test it with the Xbox Live setup, sorry. MS France still did not send me a debug Xbox (don't get me started on this) so I had to use my chiped console. Yes, it sucks.
3) 1-16 players. And the bots seemed quite good to me. Of course I suck at these games so...

I got a demo of it at E3.

I only played mutliplayer.
Ehh, it was alright. Was fun, but nothing crazy.

Its sad knowing the potential xbox had that was never fully realized. It was eaiser to churn out halfassed ps2 and pc ports I guess.

yep :(

it pains me every time i play madden on xbox. while it is superior in some ways to the ps2 version, it's clear to me that if it was designed with xbox in mind it would be incredible. but what can you do, that's not where the $$$ is i guess

It'll also be helped out if its BC with the 360.

I really doubt it will be. Rare are the masters of pushing a system and they probably do a lot of custom coding, very specific to the system to get the results you see. Plus, it supposed to be for the 'best selling' games and this wont break 500k!

Perhaps, but the original Conker runs very well with some of the N64 emulators out there. Looks really good too with high-res textures. I'm a skeptic as well, but I hope they pull it off.
