COVID LOCKDOWN

That's fucking great that you take that in stride, but you're still not allowed to put others at risk. Just like you're not allowed to drive drunk and so on.

If you take into account younger folks with comorbidities, close to 60% of italians are at risk if they get covid. If you think your right to go take a stroll is more important than the wellbeing of more than half of Italy, I have only one thing to say: something's not right with you.

Except that walking alone doesn't put anybody at risk, certainly less than going to a supermarket or working in a factory. It's people who use the excuse of physical activity to do other things like to create groups or play sports in gorups that causes risk to other people, not those who keep distance and go alone jogging or just taking some fresh air.

With your reasoning, they should also ban driving completely, because some people will not follow road rules or do drunk driving. So since some don't follow the basic rules and put others in danger with drunk driving, then driving should be banned for everybody (even for those who followed rules), right?

Also check official numbers from ISS (istituto superiore della sanità). Of the 3200 deceased (at the day the report was written), only 1,1% of deceased had less than 50 years, and nearly a fourth of these "young" (i wouldn't consider 45-50 years old as young but let's keep this definition) of them had serious pre-existing conditions. Is it right to imprison me and other several millions of people against their will for several months? Even prisoners have an hour of fresh air daily, we are not even allowed that.

We are not talking of 2 weeks (it has already been more than 2 weeks for us). We are talking several months of quarantines. even a week ago, several italian virologists clearly said and are advising the government that these measures should last until end of summer, so we are talking 4-5 months at least. The 3 april date is clearly a placeholder and even conte himself said that they will be prolonged with a new decree. So when will my right of movement and not to be imprisoned be respected? We are not talking about a short term measure, this is a long one. Do you think it's fair to not be allowed to walk at all for 4-5 months just because the police can't police/enforce rules on those who use the excuse of jogging/walking for instead doing other things? We are asking for a stroll alone, not for parties or group sports. I never advocated for removal of all measures, I'm just asking that physical and mental sanity is preserved for some people who need it by allowing short strolls alone.

We're im staying, they've just implemented obligatory quarantine to whomever lands, resident or not, you will go to a hotel and stay there for 14 days, no exceptions.

But then again we only have 8 confirmed cases and we're pretty much in lockdown right now, so I highly doubt it will go much further, since all were pretty isolated and the gov. took action way early, way before we had our first case, our population is 250K.

Once they lift the lockdown for people "who want to go to walk alone" as you put it, you really think people will keep social distances when everyone goes outside to "walk alone"? Unfortunately they got to allow going to work because country would collapse if they didn't and groceries are a essential necessity (and even so, there's restrictions being enforced, at least in Spain, when it comes to grocery shopping). "Walking out alone" is not essential. Right now cops can enforce the lockdown because there's almost nobody in the streets. Once the entirety of Italy is back outside you think that's going to happen?

With Italy population numbers that's 330.000 deaths. No, you are not allowed to cause the death of 330 thousand people. And that's without counting in the deaths caused by a collapsed healthcare system.

6th day.
Not seeing another human is tiring.
But i won't go out unless i HAVE to. People need to stay strong-willed and focus on what's important. A few weeks of isolation is a small price to pay for saving thousands (if not millions worldwide) of lives
