Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Duskbloods all run at 30 FPS on Switch 2

Could You Pay Me In Advance? - J. Jonah Jameson Scene - Spider-Man 2 (2004) Movie CLIP HD

Once again, Nintendo fanboys need to keep their inhibitions in check. This disgusting cult, which is comparable to their now-dead Xbox system counterparts, needs to realize their console is a HANDHELD! Nintendo is going to factor in battery life. Combined with the Switch 2's much inferior hardware, they can count themselves lucky their system is getting third-party games - only with much more graphical downgrades, barely stable 30fps, and still a high price tag compared to discounts on the PS5.
You are an idiot.

It's important to note that the Digital Foundry think that the drop to 540p in Cyberpunk may be when it was running in portable mode in the trailer but they don't know for sure.

There is a 40 fps performance mode for Cyberpunk 2077.
Sure. But if it's currently dropping to from 1080p/30fps to 540p/23fps. I don't even know what resolution 40fps would be dropping to.

Let's just hope this is a better state when it launches and isn't a fucking disaster like the PS4 version of the game.

Time will tell, it's still early.

I expected third party old game's ports to run better thanks to the magic of DLSS. Guess I was naive.

I will not play latest demanding AAA releases on handheld console.

If I ever buy a handheld console, it would be for lesser demanding games and indies. With Steam Deck, I can get good performance without buying the game twice. Steam Deck OLED is looking like a better purchase every day.

for this price, it should

Oh, is this the new portable PS5 with its own screen and battery?

People seem to forget this is a hybrid console you can take everywhere and don't need a strong internet connection to play your games.

Performance is as expected really.

And as I expected I'll be laughing about it.

But hey, if Nintendo fans are OK with this then more power to you. Enjoy!

People are looking for reasons to hate on Switch 2. It's running these games better than SteamDeck.

It is able to run Metroid Prime 4 at 4k/60 FPS.

The Switch 2 is a capable machine. It won't match the PS5 Pro, but that's obvious for a hybrid system under $500.
Only first-party games for Switch 2 are going to run at good resolutions at 60fps. Metroid Prime 4 is an exception because the developers behind it are top-notch and always design their games with 60fps in mind. Nintendo's closest thing to a successor to the once great developer Rare.

No one is buying this system to play third-party games. PS5 Pro is there for that, and many games look phenomenal on it.

It's unclear at this point.

Nintendo says the system uses DLSS, but none of the games they have shown are using it.
That's so weird, man.

During the presentation they went as far as to show the difference between a 720p screen and a 1080p screen. Imo that would have been a great moment to mention DLSS if it was really there.

Anyway, hope I'm wrong. DLSS is my most wanted feature for this console. Without it I don't see myself ever getting one, no way I go back to 30fps and blurry games.

I hope this doesn't turn out to be true, because it would be actually ridiculous. Only getting Elden Ring and Duskblood in 30 fps is plain bad.

Sad thing is, Nintendo would probably get away with it. That'd be 500 bucks please

The Nintendo cult is in denial. They always assume unrealistic expectations until real life crashes down on them like a meteor.
The only thing i realized is how suddenly since yesterday everything price-related to the PS5 looks good. From hardware to game prices, to upgrade paths.

I know Switch is a hybrid and has a portable option...but i really don't think Nintendo is a good place for 3rd party games to be played. It never was and it never will at this point. It's not even a good place to play 3rd party when considering cost / quality.

They should do a dedicated desktop unit without limitations.

Since they dont wanna do pc releases. My only option shouldn't be a underpowered tablet to play Nintendo games.

I'm sorry but playing games at below 1080p at 30fps is literally unplayable on a big screen 4k tv. It's like having vaseline over ur eyes. It's 2025 and standards should be higher for a 450 dollar console that wants to charge 70 to 90 dollars for games.

Steamdeck was released three years ago.

To nobody's surprise.
These games were made for much more potent hardware and non of the developers are willing to put in masses of effort to scale them to the new device.

So we are using compressed YouTube videos of 50 second clips of games from unknown builds to make Confirmed performance and visual specs of their final release?

That's what we're doing now?
Yeah, we should wait. The switch2 may have hidden juice that can run sll those games twice as fast as 12 years old consoles.

Absolutely! And Sony is no doubt watching, and they're probably arching their eyebrows in astonishment over Nintendo's equivalent to Microsoft's E3 2013.

Sony is grinning and going to turn tables. I can see them now announcing a permanent $50 price cut to their systems in the future.

The replies in these threads are always excellent when someone asks me to show them what retardation looks like.
Hold my beer while I ask my friend to push his Ferrari to 220km/h and laugh at how your Yaris can't keep up.
