As I honored as I am that you wish to remain on this OT, it has been standard practice since time immemorial to create new OTs after a particular thread reaches saturation point.

EXAMPLES:

Yeah, is he a celebrity here?

It's people hacking you in the same way you're hacking their cyberware. There is a way to find out who is doing it in the perks menu for netrunner but i still can't find out how to counter it. Someone on here said to hack them back, but maybe it's a specific hack or something...

I have 1.04 installing on my PS4. Did we have any idea what's new/fix (without spoiler)? I'm expecting mainly fixes for the moment.

Mostly collision detection, a small visual bump in resolution for the PS4/PRO and other sundry fixes, my fellow Sakura Taisen fan.

did my first braindance last night. damn, that was... pretty darn cool. the trope of Detective Mode in these open world games is kind of tired at this point, BD is not surface level like others, more like a deep dive into the concept, like a very creative and refreshing approach! multiple layers, visual/audio/thermo/etc. i felt like a real CSI detective.

I hope there's not a lot of these braindance sequences... anyone able to tell me what I'm missing here?

IB7HLb3.jpg

Scanned the pad while it was active, been rewinding for 15 minutes now. Can't even quit the game without losing progress while I'm in this sequence.

I like the game, the world is amazing... but there's a lot of annoying stuff too. The first real fight I spend more time organizing my inventory than actual fighting :D

is there a mini game anywhere? obviously W3 had Gwent.

Depends on what you'd consider a minigame.

Ring fighting? Racing?

We stole the the OT creator from the ’other site’. And now were are finally at the Daniel Day Lewis ‘I drink your milkshake‘ part of the story.

We didn't steal anything from anyone. Said user was banned and came here. I must stress that Black Chamber Black Chamber is not being given preferential treatment. He kindly asked whether he could do the following thread and we, the original thread creators, were more than happy to oblige. We would have done the same with any other user.

I know you are new to the forum but damn, do some research. OT2s have been around for a long time.

will there be an OT 3 when OT 2 that reaches 100 pages?

Yes, though I am not sure we will reach that level. We haven't had an OT3 since 2017.

Rtx 3090fe, i7-9700k, 32gb ram, 2tb crucial mx500 ssd.
what resolution you playing at? RTX?

i have a 2080, 9900k, 32GB, 2TB WD nvme ssd. i'm playing at 1440p (DLSS balanced) with every thing at ultra preset except RTX (because it crashes my game). not going below ~55fps.

if you have RTX on or playing at 4K then yeah not even a 3090 will be enough.

Depends on what you'd consider a minigame.

Ring fighting? Racing?
i was thinking of something like Dice Poker or Gwent. doesn't seem like there is anything like that :(

Below is my impressions of it from a comment above, after two hours, I'm on a break from my latest session and maybe another hour after a cold boot of my PRO and man, I really undersold this. It looks, sooooo much better and runs so much better to but the points below still stand but just a lot undersold on how the visuals looks on screen, the texture pop in and the driving.

...

My experience with 1.04 on PS4 after two hours, for anyone hesitant, updated from 1.02 which I played from launch to 13 hours.

Runs better and it's as stable again as the first 5 hours. I can drive my car now even at high speeds and while the world will still fall apart it doesn't require a restart to get it back, things load back in the instant I hit the breaks. I can fast travel now without fear of it freeing. I've had a few, maybe a handful of slight frame hitches which is about the same as before but the difference being they don't last or get worse, they iron out. Basically, I don't need to restart the console, even after an instense fire fight.

It looks better: Not a mircle patch but things and textures load much faster and things look sharper, there is less of that kind of Dreams fluffiness around the edges of textures and definitely a lot less on the textures themselve, the road is the biggest difference, it doesn't look flat anymore, has way more texture to it and reflects I might be mistaken or didn't notice them before put the puddles are reflecting at night now, almost sure that wasn't the case I remember thinking the rain is only for show. I also have my console turned back onto 2160p in the PRO settings and that's huge cause it when things do load in, your walking or just panning the camera to actively look at the scenery and it's all solid and smooth the ceiling for the resolution is noticably higher but it still make little difference if you're running, in a fight or other intensities like driving the car, the latter being the only case you'll notice it cause you're actually looking at the scenery.

The fans: They're more consistent and smooth and they don't reach the roaring chainsaw levels even in intense situations. About the same as the "fix" of changing the PRO settings to 1080p.

Crowds: They're's less people now and I think less traffic but I can't be sure of the later.

Haven't noticed much else but this is just enough, enough to make the game playable again. Having it stable is not something i should be praising or excited about but I am. The game is still buggy and visually all over the place when doing things but this is a start and a gigantic leap over the OG PS4.

One thing I'd like to see is an auto drive mode like from watch dogs, with differing levels of speed. I'd much prefer to get around like that and I'm sure they could make things more stable with a mode like that, at the very least I wouldn't have to be panning the camera all around and seeing the janky world.

Not sure if this is the way to do things but just what I have been doing currently.

I know max character level is 50. Currently I am level 15. I am building into the Intelligence tree focusing on crafting and the the other tree that focuses on smgs... I can’t remember the name.

If I have read the pacing correctly maxing 2 different trees should be completely plausible.... I could be wrong but we will have to see.

I was doing that Kabuki twins mission. I kept failing until one of them bugged and got stuck behind some npc. The second twin decided to play dead and dropped to the floor. All I had to do was repeatedly punch one of them for an easy win. I should have been angry but I felt kinda relieved.

Yes, though I am not sure we will reach that level. We haven't had an OT3 since 2017.

I was mainly joking and meant it tongue-in-cheek in the sense that it’s the other site’s loss. I understood the OT arrangement when BC explained it after he joined in the other thread. But I definitely love the fact you guys are allowing him to unveil it, I never posted on the ‘other site’ but lurked and still wanted to see his OT.

Will be very cool to see what you can come up with teaming up together later on.

Edit: Oh yeah and BTW I loved this OT too especially the lore stuff and the “want to learn more“ lol

Many “Whelps”! Handle It!
After discussing this with a few friends on Discord and watching a little bit Twitch streams, I am glad I went pistols - focusing on high damage revolvers and head shots. It sounds like going other routes requires too good of weapons and lots of investments in various perks. Me? I just shoot their head and they go bye-bye - fini.

Animation and I don't know how to put it, when you are riding shotgun the way they drive is ghetto ass PS3 level driving, not even GTA: SA have such shitty driving "AI", they are ramming cars and other shit. It's shamefully bad, I am not sure how they could fuck it up so badly, because Witcher had none of these problems...
I onestly love the comedy gold that comes out from stupid ass driving IA, too much realistic would be boring...

And this is nightcity, half of the people is probably under heavy drugs while driving :ROFLMAO:

Even after watching some playthroughs, I just can't excited for this game. Apart from the cool setting It just doesn't seem like a big step forward in terms of graphics and game design. the npcs seem like out of a mid 2000 game, nothing revolutionary really. I thought this was suppost to be a big step forward for open world games, but it's clearly not.
