Could a tournament be done? How would that work?
but that picture makes me not want to add you to my friends list! i'm still playing on easy i let my wife do medium and upparasight said:Love this game. Still need more people other than Phreaker on my leaderboards! Add me GT: Paralock

I've said it a bunch of times, but Ne-Yo's Because of You is great. The moves they added were meant specifically for the song, especially at the beginning, and its great to dance to. Janet's "Control" is amazing, too. Actual Janet moves, well worth it (when it comes out on the marketplace, thanks again DJ Lushious!AstroLad said:The choreography in this game is just so fun and unique to each song; for people of all experience levels really. So my wife and I picked this game up Sunday morning after checking out the demo. Neither one of us can dance, and we are just fighting our way through doing all the songs on Easy. Since we can't dance, I figured this would be terrible for us. But it is so much fun. Reminds me so much of when I thought playing on plastic guitar would be stupid, until I tried Rock Band.
I just hope the learning curve doesnt become too steep. My problem now is not knowing what move the flash card is, so I watch the dancer to see the move, but then I am always a half second behind missing the flash cards. I'm sure as I play more I'll pick that up.
Yup do break it down, don't even try to follow on the first showing and just watch the move. Then you have three chances to nail it. You can also miss the first try and then go into slow it down, where they really break down the move for you and you have unlimited opportunities to try it. I find this useful for really involved moves where I just need to break down every single part separately.Protocol Snow said:Sounds like you need to go through Break it Down mode first.
I actually did pretty damn good on "Dip It Low"... I'd be 2nd or 3rd on the leaderboard right now :lol I think I'm going to have to reup my XBL Gold just to show up on the leaderboards for this game!bryehn said:The other day my wife was like "I beat some of your friends on that one!" Like Protocol Snow said, do "Break it Down" mode first, after trying the move, you can slow down the dancer as well.ahoyle77 said:Posted this in the Kinect OT, but fits better here.

Does the full version include any form of two-player mode?

If you have family/friends Kinect as a whole is totally worth it IMO.-COOLIO- said:question. does anyone here feel that this game alone would be worth the price of admission for kinect?

Yep pretty much everyone in this thread loves it and that's just the general consensus everywhere it seems. DC1 + the inevitable DC2 alone make the Kinect purchase worth it to me. But then again I have a wife and friends who this game is really perfect for, and it's equally fun to me which is a real rarity. As it stands Adventures/Sports/Kinectimals are perfectly nice little tech demos to sort of get people into the Kinect too.Struct09 said:It has been for me. I haven't even taken the shrinkwrap off of Kinect Adventures yet, all I want to do when I fire up my 360 is play this game.
I know I'll use the Kinect for more in the future, but I'm perfectly happy playing only Dance Central for now.
I've danced for a long time and I'll say that the harder songs have pretty tough moves. There's a good variety, from reggae, locking, popping, hip hop, pop, bboying... The DLC songs are even better, Control has Janet's moves and Because of You actually feels like you're doing actual choreo.TheChillyAcademic said:So I came into play Dance Central (at a friends house of course) pretty skeptical as I've danced for like, ever. While the routines, even on the toughest setting are CAKE, as a party game with people who can't necessarily discern the difference between dancing and REAL dancing its actually a lot of fun.
Oh and THIS is the choreography for Pokerface.
Disgrace!
Beg to Differ. If you like dancing, even if you can't dance, you can learn to dance from this game. I think its well worth it (think of it as buying a game plus peripheral and the price doesn't seem bad when comparing it to buying Rock Band plus instrument, as someone stated in this thread).TheChillyAcademic said:Eh....no.
No.
It's tons of fun, IF you have a group of friends who can get into it. But by itself?
You want to dance and have fun in general? Head to the clubs ^^

I've danced for 12+ yrs and I love this game. Especially now that I'm older and have more responsibility and can't "head to the clubs" like I used to...

And you want to play football? Head to the field. You want to race? Buy a car... ad nauseum. I go to clubs as much as the next guy, this game doesn't replicate the feeling of being in a club whatsoever, nor do I want it to. I am not doing the supah-man move in a club no matter how drunk I get.TheChillyAcademic said:You want to dance and have fun in general? Head to the clubs ^^
