That's because he is an intelligent asshole. He's very precise in his wording so when he's called out he can be like "NO NUH-UNH!" He did the same thing with the reshoot rumor. It's funny that both Ayer and Wan have shut him down two rumors in a row.

People still believe the reshoot rumor too.

More than anything, I think Faraci is just telling people what they want to hear when it comes to this stuff.

There's a metric truckload of confirmation bias out there when it comes to any remotely negative rumor regarding the DCEU, and Faraci knows it.

Not even fair. Batman probably stole his grapple gun design from Rope Guy.

Just came back from the cinema, I took my mother to see BvS. She cried a lot and told me "I don't understand all the criticism that it got. People are stupid". Yep, that's my mother. I love her.

Man of Steel was a story about fathers.

BvS is a story about mothers.

Lex got it perfectly right. Only Superman's mom can make him kneel.

What parts did she cry at?

(I'll spoiler tag just in case)

A little bit in the farm scene when Martha talks to Clark, but in the final fight, the moment where Supes gets the spear with the "this is my world, you are my world", her eyes were like a waterfall. It almost made me cry too.

She loved Affleck and Gadot, but specially Cavill. "He's like...well, Superman". She also made me go WTF when she said she was surprised with the amount of shots that looked exactly like some panels from The Death of Superman. I mean, I knew she likes the characters and has read a few CB in her life, but I wasn't expecting that

Wow your mom sounds awesome.

I can't even imagine having a talk with either of my parents about superhero movies, let alone comics.

The worst thing about Devin " Anonymous Sources" Faraci is that the posters that put up his guesswork always act like if he has a proven track record of reliability with his "reporting".

Just caused he posted something you wish was true doesn't mean he isn't full of shit and baiting for clicks. Right now, any negative rumor about DC movies it's gonna get a lot of play for multiple factors. Thus, media hacks like him are looking to cash in on the negative wave.

OT but the Payback ME was awesome. Too much hate for Roman.

Anyways, I wish Gal posted more of her training. Y'know, because reasons...

Lol, holy shit was Amboyer even in the movie? I honestly can't remember.

So, what other movies are you guys looking forward to this year besides Suicide Squad? For me it's The Nice Guys and Bourne 5.

Civil War, X-Men, Independence Day, Jason Bourne, Dr. Strange, Assassin's Creed, and Rogue One. There are other movies like The Nice Guys and Warcraft (and probably some other stuff I'm missing) that I'm fine with either catching it in the theater if things work out or waiting for the home release.

Those are the blockbusters anyway, usually around September/October is when I start finding the dramas/indies that look interesting.

Nobody I know likes those movies so I usually have to wait for home release to check out the dramas and indies I want to see. I can't stand going to the movies by myself. That is very much a multi-person event to me.

Oh, look, Superman and Black Widow :D

One moment that keeps returning to my mind is from the opening.

When Bruce's friend/employee is praying as Zod is collapsing the building around him.

Such a quiet relatable moment of terror/mortality.

The only thing that approaches it are both from the Dark Knight, where the fake Batman is being tortured and Rachel/Harvey realize Bats is at the wrong place and her death is certain.

Being that DC is about to get more crowd pleasing I don't think there'll be too many more of those moments.

The Nolan trilogy wasn't crowd pleasing?

I think he meant lighter in tone. Even before BvS was out Snyder and Roven said JL would be lighter in tone. Wonder Woman will likely be the last "dark" movie. I use the term lightly. I don't find these movies to be dark. Serious is more the term I would use but that's a weird word to use to describe a superhero movie.

I don't particularly want batman to get raped but I think it's hypocritical to shit on Snyder for this and then get giddy over the Killing Joke. Also need I remind people that Batman has been raped (Talia). I almost wanna go on Twitter to call out the double standards

Superman filmed a porno with Big Barda. There's some weird shit if you dig deep enough. Supergirl's horse turned human and seduced her.

Edit: I just checked the link. Lol what the hell was that? Did someone write an article just to point at some tweets from one person? I know Snyder isn't everyone's favorite director right at the moment but this getting really ridiculous, haha.

What's this new thing of picking through old Snyder articles?

Well, Age of Ultron slightly disappointed people and Joss Whedon got run off the internet. Batman v Superman may go down as the biggest comic book movie disappointment of all time and Snyder basically went "whatevs, bruh". It will only get worse from here.

What does a "light" movie in Snyder's eyes look like though? Maybe something like his owl movie? I never saw it but I've heard even that movie is a bit over the top in its intensity.

I question how well things will turn out if WB decides to force Snyder into a box. Everyone is expecting WB to tighten their leash on him but is that possible? All of his movies carry a similar bleak or oppressive tone in varying degrees. Part of me wonders if BvS is actually a clear example of what it's like when Snyder is forced to answer to producer mandates. The Justice League foreshadowing screams of that. He wasn't sure how to really weave it in so he just dropped it in the audience's lap like a wet fish. As much as I dislike his work, maybe it'd be better if WB just let him do his thing. I probably wouldn't like it but I don't know if I'll enjoy the alternative. Like they say, better the devil you know and all that.
