Faraci says Aquaman is getting page 1 rewrite. Makes complete sense.

The competing writers doing drafts was from about 2 years ago, before Justice League script was finished. Atlantis will be big part of JL so that automatically changes things. Let Wan in there too.

And here's another one -

Official runtime for the Ultimate Cut - 182 minutes, 29 seconds

Wait. This has gotten an R-rating in the US but it is unchanged in germany? For reference, all DC movies where FSK12, but TDK was FSK16.

well not really...yet
European ratings are always more lax than US

Besides Zack said he think the R rating was moreso due to the fact that while there were some "harder" shots of violence, the fact that it was paired together with the overall dark and oppressive feel of the film is what did it.

That cover doesn't matter to me. The only thing that matters is the steel book cover that I am 100% going to buy. that one looks like a porn parody cover

Apparently the extended North Africa sequence is what pushed it to R in the US.

You already see that in the movie though. Jimmy Olsen is that Cia agent that is with Lois in Africa during one of the first scenes.

You don't ACTUALLY see him get shot, that was my point. He gets shot in the head from point-blank range, I don't know what else in the Africa sequence would lead to an R-rating.

Might have been on reddit, but someone noticed a continuity issue with Lois regarding the Africa scene. When we see her in the movie, after Superman saves her, she is still relatively clean.

But in the scene she returns home and puts away her clothes, you can see blood stains on her shirt.

Maybe in the Ultimate Cut, we actually see shit go haywire after Superman takes down the warlord. Heck there was even concept art of him taking out a tank in the artbook, who knows if that was shot too.

lmao that bluray cover is terrible.
3D version has a much better cover

Fuck, why does the 4K edition get stuck with the shitty regular Blu-Ray cover.

That would make the push for the hearing a lot more logical if Superman was directly involved in actual physical action that escalated the conflict and fucked shit up. The impression I got from the theatrical cut was that the fallout was mostly from repercussions of Superman taking out just that one warlord, and I'm not sure if the American government would really care that much if it were the case given that American citizens were at risk in the first place. If Superman takes out a small army and a tank in a foreign country though, yeah that raise interesting questions.

The blu Ray better have audio commentary. I'd love to hear Snyder/Terrio/Goyer/Affleck commentary

Sucker Punch Director's Cut and Watchmen Director's Cut both had that "Maximum Mode" picture-in-picture video commentary thing. It remains to be seen if BvS Ultimate Edition will. Man of Steel didn't even have an audio commentary iirc.

No, but MoS had that Maximum Movie Mode too with several of the actors. The Krypton stuff was interesting as hell.

So which one of you is Marc Bernardin?

you/he may have just referenced this GAF classic http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1101844

in the latest Fatman on Batman

https://youtu.be/Lw8tZCMz9Ds?t=364

I need to catch up on Fatman. I'm not even a huge fan of Kevin Smith's movies, I just like hearing his interviews and Marc. Should be interesting, especially with Rebirth rolling out in 2 weeks.

Did Marc end up liking the movie? I know Kevin said it was Ok after his second viewing, Marc gave out a tweet with a thumbs up before the movie came out, so I assumed he liked it.

Think MoS was the last Max Movie Mode WB did. so guess we'll see - I'm hoping for an audio commentary on the extended cut.

And last but not least in terms of covers, the regular U.S. DVD:

Marc very much disliked MoS. He thought BvS was OK, but not great. The dark tone didn't work for him for a Superman movie, and he thought that having Batman and Superman fight for no clear reason was dumb, but there were parts he liked.

I want Ezra Miller to have the same quality as Spider-Man had in CW so I can mock the Flash OT. Barry Allen is so stupid in the TV show.

Flash is always stupid in any media. Some might hide it better than the others, but without him being stupid the characters makes the whole rest of JL completely useless.

The article is talking about an ending credits sequence?

That's my point. Snyder isn't a fan of ending credit scenes. The most we can hope for is a stylized 300 style animated credits.

But what's the point of an ending credits sequence when we already have an opening credits?

You can find clips from BvS pretty easily as I'm sure you are all aware by now and I was watching Wonder Woman's entrance into the battle. Now, that was hype as fuck but there was something about Superman's re-entry that was just as cool. At least for me. The way Diana looks over, the crack of thunder, the way the shot follows Superman's movement and slams into Doomsday. Just cool as hell.

Affleck's directing trajectory is interesting in the sense that each subsequent film appeals to a wider audience. But to my taste, they get less interesting. Live By Night is another Lehane adaptation and we'll see how it goes.

And then the silhouette of Superman in front of that crazy big explosion after he throws Doomsday into those fuel storage tanks [I suppose that's what they were?].

Yup, that was super awesome.
