Geoff Johns has written some of my favourite comics of all time.
He (and others) turned the Green Lantern mythos it something I cared about.
Before I didn't give a monkeys.
His Flash run is also exemplary.

I expect disappointment

"We heard you like Legacy so we're bringing the Silver Age back with all comics written exclusively be Geoff Johns"

or

"90s EXTREME is making a comeback so all comics will be drawn by a time displaced Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld"...

I just wanna know the creative teams. Tis a long panel/stream.

I think he's doing some Titans book?

Vendetti and Lobdell need work :p although i hear Vendittis' Valiant stuff is good.

Slott says he was at DC offices not so long ago...

Lobdell needs work indeed, but he also needs to be good as his work. Same goes for Vendetti. His DC work is subpar.

Don't follow comics that much.

So did New 52 bomb completely or what?

I can't believe we're getting another entire universe reboot in only 5 years.

We're literally not.

It didn't bomb but it'd didn't maintain success too much.

T King on Batman.

James TYnion on DC.

Seeley on Nightwing.

Hope Larson on Batgirl.

Julie & Shawna Benson on Birds of Prey

New 52 didn't bomb but it was controversial and the initial sales boost petered out fast. They had the DC You initiative last year, which was more creator focused and less continuity driven. It was pretty great for the most part but the sales tanked severely. I think the Convergence event hurt the entire line pretty bad, it was really awful.

Also, Rebirth is not a reboot, I don't think.

I haven't had the chance to read any of King's stuff yet, but I know he's well regarded so I might actually keep reading Batman after it changes.

Edit: once again I forgot about the whole double shipping thing. Still a dealbreaker.

Snyder is off Batman? Damn..:(

Yeah, Batman #50 (end of Superheavy) marked the end of his run (unfortunately Superheavy was the weakest of Snyder's storylines IMO, and I really liked the run).

Also Finch taking over the art from Capullo (I missed the second artist)

It didn't bomb necessarily, but reboots aren't well regarded in general and New 52 killed a lot of comic series and storylines people liked to make something new. It was made to bring new people in, but the rebooting was so confusing because DC couldn't let go of the tons of canon. Newcomers were confused because there was still so much old stuff floating around and fans were confused because it was not entirely clear what happened and what not and how it happened. Especially the restriction that most people were only active for five years was stupid in that regard.

Also they emphasized in the Rebirth stream that it's not a reboot.

Yeah, I stopped buying comics, starting with the Convergence. Not really satisfied the months before and I was scared that it would once again kill shit I might like. Fed up with that.

I'd really recommend his Vision and Grayson books. Incredibly solid and gives the characters unique voices.

Tim Seeley writer on Nightwing and Javi Fernandez is artist.

Word is Snyder will be writing a new Batman monthly (he didn't want to double-ship) that is short story arcs and goes through the entire rogues gallery. First arc about Two Face.

That sounds awesome.

Green Arrow getting goatee back is funny too. I wonder if Percy will stay or will they pick new writer

Yeah, I don't know how I feel about the double shipping. It's not only going to be difficult financially, I also don't actually have the time to read all that stuff !
