C'mon. The freeway fight in Winter Soldier blows away Deadpool. Loved Deadpool and the action, but let's be serious.
I saw winter soldier for the first time actually two nights ago and I disagree.

Deadpool was more faster and stylised. Not that WS wasn't really good, but yeh personal taste I guess.

Also keep in mind the theater experience vs watching a movie for the first time at home.

Deadpool had some great action but I can only remember a maybe one or two standout moments. That might change on rewatches though :-P

Saw this yesterday. Damn, this is a good comic book movie. Reynolds is the perfect Deadpool. Loved all the meta jokes. And I thought the cab driver was excellent. The stuff going on in the
secondcab ride, when he had his rival in the trunk
was surprisingly hilarious.

Starting? You're being way too nice.

Haha, good point. It wasn't a pattern early on but it sounds like they just don't build villains that way purposely, they are made to be expendable... I get the reasoning, but I don't like it.

yeah i wasn't expecting that bit at all and it probably got the hardest laugh out of me. that stuff was amazing, especially Deadpool's reaction.

After credits scene was something I expected, and it pulled it off so nicely.

Loved the
Hugh jackman
face when he takes off his mask lol. Whole cinema loved it, of course maybe bit biased coz were aussie but still

Just came back from this. Had a blast. Right now I feel it ties Guardians as my favorite comic book movie.

Fantastic acting, soundtrack, action and pacing. Length was just right for me.

Morena Baccarin is always hot and really solid at acting but in this,

I think the highway scene in Winter Soldier is one of the best moments in any Marvel movie. But why makes it better than Deadpool is Winter Soldier himself. He is such a great antagonist, definitely better than Ajax!
But I love the highway scene in Deadpool just as much, if not a bit better? It's just so much fun and for me a bit more stylised than any other Marvel movies. It's like watching a great comic book movie and not just an action movie. That's what for me makes Deadpool highway scene better than Winter Soldier's.

Saw it today. It was much better than expected. Thank god it wasn't WayPool, although at some point it did kinda get close to it.

If anyone in the Netherlands is planning on watching the Lie-Max version at Pathé Den Haag Spuimarkt, do yourself a fucking favor and don't go there. The projection quality was so bad that you could count each individual pixel on the screen.

Fun, enjoyable film (while the origin story took a larger chunk of the pie than I thought it would). I had a much better experience than I had with Avengers (2), Captain America 1, Ironman 2/3 or Ant Man.

It didn't change my life, but no Marvel film does. It's fine.

Movie is pretty standard story wise with some small twist here and there, and being done in R Rated. But what really elevates it is the solid pacing of the film, not one part of the film lingers too long that you don't get bored of it, something that overly long Superhero films especially The Dark Knight Rises and Ultron had a problem with. Really fun film, good action scenes with great pacing. It's a solid 8.5 film, very rewatchable.

Edit: Movie had great lines and dialogue too.

haha just saw it, best line was when Deadpool goes to the Xmen mansion.

"Funny I only ever see the two of you, It's like the studio can't afford another X-Man."

It's funny because it's true.

This movie worked very, very well. Really nailed the tone and dialog.

You can really tell the studio had no confidence in the movie and the budget was low. I'm expecting a huge bump in budget for the second, though.

It was such a garbage joke and did not work at all. GOTG was meh at best, and the friendship power up was shit.

I got the impression that the friendship part was just for show and that Quill was the one doing all the work. I mean, they all thought that their friendship powers were unbeatable (as corny as it sounds) but then they are "Quill, you're not human, you're... something else" and then friendship is useless in that context. At least that's what I like to think.

Saw it tonight and it was amazing. The opening had fantastic pacing, but that the movie itself lingered on the bridge for too long. I get that they had to flesh it all out, and that was the only way, but it was just a tad excessive.

Loved the humor and gore, and I got to see Inara naked, and that makes me very, very happy.

deadpool was just released in Spain the 19th.. saw yesterday at 5:00pm showing it was surpringsly packed.

Absolutely awesome and the girlfriend loved it too... she usually could care less about superhero movies but between this and Guardians she loves them both.

Finally saw it. It was pretty good! I'm generally not a fan of Deadpool comics, but I think the movie made it work for me for the most part.
Some of the dialogue was still a little cringeworthy to me - mostly in the delivery. The "creative" swearing is what grated on me the most, with all the "what the shit/fuckshit/assshit/etc etc" stuff sounding really inauthentic. I also hated the "you look like a __ fucked a ___" scene. On paper it's good, but the acting is too expressive and cartoony to really pull it off - that's the kind of scene that works with snappy, improvisational feeling dialogue, not meticulously scripted acting. Weird complaint, I'm sure, but it bugged me. Just didn't feel right. Same with the "oh yeah, I'm touching myself tonight" line and the "you're strong for a woman" thing. A lot of stuff that might have worked as improvisational crude banter just kinda cratered. Overall though I enjoyed it. The best scene was the montage. The third act really drags.

The costume for the most part looked great although something about the animated face bothered me, but I can't really pinpoint what.

A lot of the CGI looked like CGI from a few years ago. It's not as crisp and clean as what's currently everywhere.

Best superhero movie I've seen but there was a fight at the end that sucked and was too over the top for me. Wore out its welcome after awhile and I probably won't see it again anytime soon.

There's no way the sequel can match this movie.
I just feel with its success, Fox will start meddling.

Also, Reynold's really showed off his hometown throughout the film.
It was also really funny to see such a huge advertisement for Vancouver's No.5 Orange Strip Club.

No origin story -.-

Fox already meddled in this one. Delaying it, cutting the budget, not allowing more xmen, etc. maybe this time they'll have more trust in the cast and give them a bigger budget and more freedom

Saw the film yesterday. It was really good, better than I expected. It had the audience laughing a LOT. Surprised that about 50% of the audience were female. I guess these films aren't just for the "nerds" anymore :) Ryan Reynolds fucking IS DeadPool. Couldn't think of a better man to play the character.

After letting it sit in for a few days, this is by far the best marvel film so far. Bravo! Can't wait to get it on Blu Ray

For you, I suppose. It went down great for me and most of the people I've talked to, and the reactions in the theater spoke for themselves.

Except the origin story was shockingly poignant here.
Yeah, the origin story is excellent. Particularly everything with Vanessa. Can't believe people would complain about such a well done romance that strikes a great balance with Wade's humor.

Do we expect a Ryan Reynolds commentary track for the Bluray release?

That's seriously what I'm looking forward to the most for home video.

A Deadpool commentary track on his own movie? Wouldn't that break the boundaries of space time?

Reynold's did say he wanted to do something for the Bluray, but Fox had to OK it first as they generally never get any money for that sort of thing.

I was really into this movie during the opening, but I kind of left the theatre thinking, "is that it?" I appreciated it being a unique take on comic book movies, but the whole middle of the movie really slogged on and felt pretty dull to me. I kind of felt annoyed every time it went back to the flashback sequences because the origin story was totally not the strength of this film.

I think overall it was an alright movie, but it for whatever reason nothing really cemented itself or landed after the really good opening scene. I had some laughs, but it wasn't hysterical to me ot anything: I probably laughed more during Guardians.

I dunno. I wish I liked it as much as everyone else seems to. I'm glad lots of people seemed to have enjoyed it.

Saw the movie on Friday, it was hilarious. Really had me laughing all the way throughout. I think my favourite part though was the second cab ride. I died.

"This is no way to win Gita's heart back!"

"(whispers) I'm so proud of you"

"Drop Bantu off safe and gentle like"

"(whispers) Kill him"

"And then win Gita back the old fashioned way with your boyish charm!"

"(whispers) Kidnap her"

Finally saw this today and thought it was great. Dunno if it'll hold up on additional viewings but man it got me to laugh out loud quite a few times.

Oddly enough, there was a family of 4 right before me trying to buy tickets for this that had what looked like a 8-10 year old girl and 12-13 year boy. The cashier was shocked that they wanted to see Deadpool and tried to warn them its rated r and about the sexual content, they bought tickets anyway, wonder if they stuck around for the whole movie

Fiancee and I caught this last night and both loved it and agreed it was the funniest from start to finish movie we've seen in a while.

Yeah. This was far and away the funniest part of the film.

Saw it this evening. I thought it was good, but I really wish the trailers hadn't spoiled so much of the movie. Some of the jokes fell flat, and I don't think I like Reynolds as much as I thought I did. Also, Wade wasn't nearly ugly enough.

Will watch again, but after all the praise I saw it getting, I was expecting more.

Saw this last weekend and loved it although it was an imax movie and I was third row. .. kind of made everything way too intense sometimes lol

Some parents with really young kids in the audience. .. what the fuck is wrong with people?

Probably my favorite joke in the movie. Hope he appears in the sequel.

Really good movie. Finally got to see it today with my kids and we all loved it. Ryan Reynolds was definitely born to play this part. Loved all the little nods to previous movies too.

Question though I didn't quite understand during his origin story:

Francis said that the extreme pain would bring out any mutant DNA that lay dormant inside him. How did they know he even had mutant DNA to begin with?

They didn't know. If he didn't he'd just die

Funniest part for me was
When he goes back home and rests his head on Blind Al's shoulder and rubs her face with his tiny regrowing hand

Saw this today, thought seeing it a bit after release would have weeded out the, let call them "super fans"

Usually wait a few weeks on super hero movies because theyre always there the first week or so.

Didnt get lucky today, sat next to a girl who insisted on pointing and yelling the names of every character that appeared as well as loudly talking about every gag/inside joke during the movie.

Thank you girl for making the movie that much better!! /s

Enjoyed the actual movie a lot outside of that.
