That's why I used Bike much more !How many times have you all got your truck stuck on a rock? I'm probably at 50.
I've been wanting to replay this recently, but I keep telling myself to wait for the PC release. Hopefully we see something on it soon. I can see this ending up as one of my top 5 this gen - something about it just really clicked with me.
Same. I thought the ziplines and trucks were going to help but of course the next missions are all in the mountains full of rocks and shit so I'm back on foot with all my shitty cargo on my back. Too many roadblocks to make it enjoyable.
Thats not Del Toro doing the voice or motion capture. They just used his likeness. So I’ve finally taken a leap into this game. Have been very cautious approaching it.
I’ve just delivered the president for cremation, which is what 1.5hrs in? Apart from Guillermo del Toro‘s B grade acting I’m super impressed. The desolation, the immersion, the soundtrack.
I hope the game maintain this forward momentum and doesn’t deteriorate from here.
Oh yeah? Jesus, why do that? Make him look like a no talent hack.Thats not Del Toro doing the voice or motion capture. They just used his likeness.
I mean, that's the overwhelming gameplay in it. Watch some videos if you arent sure. It's certainly unique, and good looking.is this game worth the $23 they're asking for right now?
especially if ur someone who hates game play that mainly consist of walking and balancing items on your back for hours?
My god, I’ve never played anything like it. It’s incredible. Everyone must try it and decide for themselves.is this game worth the $23 they're asking for right now?

Very happy you're enjoying the game. I was kinda sad that so many people trashed it without trying. It was my GOTY for 2019. Sekiro would have been my number 2.My god, I’ve never played anything like it. It’s incredible. Everyone must try it and decide for themselves.

I’m about to buy this, but can someone tell me if “help” from online players ruins it now?
I want the game to be challenging and find routes on my own and not just get by because of everyone else placing ladders and roads for me—is there a way to turn off help from other players?
I just don’t want there to be the route laid out for me by previous players and wish I had just bought the game at launch to avoid this.

i dont believe videos give you a good idea. its really a unique experience.. especialy when ur on a walk and all of sudden music starts to play and you are all alone out there, doing your mission. its super immersive. If thats something u could enjoy, get itI mean, that's the overwhelming gameplay in it. Watch some videos if you arent sure. It's certainly unique, and good looking.
Yes this game needs to be tried by oneself to ‘get it’. I had no interest from the promos, the reviews. It looked like yet another open world filled with meaningless fetch quests. I fired it up on a whim for a change of pace from Modern Warfare and was an instant convert.i dont believe videos give you a good idea. its really a unique experience.. especialy when ur on a walk and all of sudden music starts to play and you are all alone out there, doing your mission. its super immersive. Pc users are in for a treat. But game relies heavily on analog controls, so needs controller.Got the plat last night. It was very easy to do so because you can look up which constructions or memory chips you are missing through the menus.
Also there are three hidden memory chips, journals from Higgs. I was missing part 2.
It was a lot of fun to revisit the game. The world is so calming and otherworldly and nice to visit. Really looking forward to double dipping for 60fps on the PC release.
Same accept ps5 version here.I've been wanting to replay this recently, but I keep telling myself to wait for the PC release. Hopefully we see something on it soon. I can see this ending up as one of my top 5 this gen - something about it just really clicked with me.
My main piece of advice would be to take your time with the game. Plowing straight through it is not reccommended. The cut scene heavy stuff is mostly for the first few hours and while they still happen at a decent pace (if you're doing main missions) its to a much lesser extent.Ok, so I picked this up on sale a few days before TLOU2 came out and knowing this is pretty lengthy, combined with not being able to help myself jumping straight into TLOU2, I thought i'd wait until I was done with that before starting DS. Which I've now done.
So a couple of hours in, at the end of chapter one and I'm struggling. I've heard it picks up in chapter 3 so I'm determined to get there at least, but so far... yeesh...
I honestly feel like I've spent more time watching then playing. I know this is sometimes the case with Kojimas games, but in MGS at least, some of the cutscenes were sweet action scenes. Here, mostly so far its some badly acted nonsense, to the point I've nearly dozed off during a few. I'm not usually one to pick up apart writing, especially in this medium, but there's been plenty of cringeworthy lines too. And Daryl from TWD seems exactly like... Daryl from TWD so far.
And why the fuck if I'm going to cremate someone so important, why wouldn't these guys, I dunno, maybe help me requisition a vehicle? Nah its all good, I'll just piggyback the corpse up a mountainside, stumbling around everywhere and dropping her on her dead head a bunch of times. Def the best man for the job.
Anyway, I'll keep on slogging through until it supposedly picks up. The setting and world itself seems pretty interesting at least, it all looks pretty nice and Stumbly Stu'ing my way around the world can be kinda relaxing I guess. Plus having a game where gameplay doesn't equal kill copious amounts of shit, is kinda what I'm after especially coming of the gorefest that TLOU2 was. And being able to take a dump in a videogame is a definite plus as well
So yeah, just sounding off some. Hopefully if I drop another post here, it'll have a slightly different tone
Sony would be insane to not port the game to PS5. They haven't announced it yet but if it doesnt happen within the first 6 months of the systems life I'll be shocked.Same accept ps5 version here.
I platinumed it so did a shit ton of optional tasks. It was still fun but I'm looking forward to just ploughing throw the main story with no distractions. Any word on a new game plus or ps5 patch?
It was 30fps on ps4 yes? If so 60fps plus some graphical upgrades make sense. My main piece of advice would be to take your time with the game. Plowing straight through it is not reccommended. If the game doesn't grab you by chapter 3-4 I would say just drop it it probably won't click. It's a weird fucking game that isn't for everyone and I totally get when people don't like it.

I wasn't even annoyed with the early stuff in the game and still ended up getting really annoyed with it before Chapter 3 came along. I actually liked the early cutscenes. Do with that information what you willOk, so I picked this up on sale a few days before TLOU2 came out and knowing this is pretty lengthy, combined with not being able to help myself jumping straight into TLOU2, I thought i'd wait until I was done with that before starting DS. You still may hate it. To narrow further, I think possible people that crown FarCry 2 as the pinnacle of the series may lean more into this type of game. It’s the way it makes you feel, the immersion of the world.I wasn't even annoyed with the early stuff in the game and still ended up getting really annoyed with it before Chapter 3 came along. It's a rollercoaster of a game. It gets really good in parts, then really bad, then decent, then back to bad, ect. By the time the story finally ended, I didn't know if I even liked it. There are certain aspects of the gameplay I did like from a grindy aspect, but it's impossible to say if you'll feel the same.
Delivering things in good condition from one point to another point is the gameplay.
The question is, which graphical upgrades we will see? Sadly, there are no reviews and no videos besides the pc trailer. It was 30fps on ps4 yes? If so 60fps plus some graphical upgrades make sense.
Is it out on PC yet
Man PC nerds are in for a treat, hope they enjoy it.YES!
Death Stranding PC NVIDIA DLSS 2.0 Shown in Official Screenshots [UPDATED]
Death Stranding PC will support NVIDIA's Deep Learning Super-Sampling 2.0, according to a press released that leaked early on the Web.wccftech.com
Give it a try! I went in blind and loved it. It is so different and the gameplay loop gets you hooked real fast. Progression also feels rewarding and meaningful.I've been on the fence about this game since release. It totally looks like an experience I'd appreciate, but the reviews from even the "good" reviewers scared me away.
This thread has finally convinced me otherwise with all your super insightful posts! The depth of analysis here really can't be found anywhere else.
Yet another massive game I shouldn't have time for added to my backlog
What difficult part? Mule camp?I really love Mud Runner, for me this is an actual competent Mud Runner, I just wish the truck mechanics were a bit more like Mud Runner, instead of "fudging the physics". I'm playing on Hard and it's a good time... until Chapter 4, fuck that entire thing, what a pile of shit, I had to change the difficulty mode for that bit, I hope there aren't too many more parts like that.
I think that's the first Cliff segment. What difficult part? Mule camp?
