"DEATHLOOP" |OT| Down the rabbit hole, everyone's a winner

If you've swapped infused things out in levels to aquire new weapons/slabs then you need to wait until you complete a day (not die) before they become available in your load out again.

For that reason I always keep a weapon slot free before heading into a level so that I don't have to temporarily sacrifice anything.

Who give a shit, people here who are playing it are enjoying it. Fuck off and take your trolling elsewhere.
What trolling? You guys are so fucked up. As soon as anyone says something different it must be trolling.

So yeah the ia is dumb, but they fucking OVERWHELM you at times lol...

I just fucked up 2 loops where i had a shitload of stuff :ROFLMAO:

If you do\watch\find everything in this game we are talking 40+ hours easy.

10-20 hours is really rushing this game.
I liked throwing down a turret and it just tearing through the enemies. I had one visionary come to me while I was in the area. I just kept whacking away with my machete, they died, and then they all bum rushed me. I don’t think the enemy AI alert lasts that long. I could blast at a whole room full of people and seconds later the people who heard the shots are just walking casually around the building like nothing happened.

Haven’t been able to find one single delivery booth code after 12 hours. Where are you guys finding them?

So I've gotten several more hours into the game, and I'm still NOT finding this shit easy. I'm frequently on the edge of my seat. I've had shit go epically sideways just trying to exit an area, where I had gathered a decent amount of stuff, and somehow there are a fuckton of enemies everywhere I turn and I lose all my extra chances by just not being careful enough. I think this game, for my skill level anyway, balances pushback against the player, and player success in just about a perfect measure. For every fuckup, I also have a success. Like this morning I did the routine to get the Classpass code, so had to get the pass, get out, get to Charlie's mansion and get in there, all with the pass active and no extra lives/powers - it was stressful as fuck but felt great when I did it. Then my next run is, oh shit this person will activate a reactor and instantly kill me ending my day, that's a thing that can happen I guess? LOL this is the good shit.

Water has been my greatest enemy. :(

I only get stressed with Juliana. Most of the times I stealth a lot and have been super lucky with running back to the tunnels after killing visionaries. I have the Nexus with two upgrades and that does wonders.

So then don't say I'm wrong. This game won't sell because it has a god awful marketing.

If I lose a weapon (from arsenal lead) is it gone for good or can I just get it back once I loop back around to the day I got it in?

When the loop restarts (a new day) if you have the trinket, gun, slab etc. infused then you'll have it back. If you sacrificed it for residuum, then it's gone. Items lost mid loop are temporary lost until loop resets.

I've been using Shift and Aether, both with two upgrades, I find them so useful I'm wary of using anything else.
I swap out Shift a lot as it's not always necessary or that useful depending on location. The other slabs are fun, so I recommend giving them a go.

It wasn't infused and I don't have it back yet after loop reset so would it be back where I got it from?

This game can be confusing but I'm starting to pick up on a few things.

You can get the weapons again by killing the Eternalists or Visionary that carries it. If it was gotten another way it should be able to track again for the next day.

There's no item in the game that is gone forever or one time chance.

I wonder if the whole “watch someone else play it” also hurts sales. I imagine people watch their favorite streamer’s reaction when they finish the loop versus doing it themselves.

9 hours in and loving it so far.
Still getting to grips with the intricacies of the Residuum and gameplay mechanics but find it all very intriguing.
No consequences for killing the standard enemies and lack of something similar to the high and low chaos in Dishonored encourages me to use the satisfying array of hand cannons (I'm usually a goody two shoes if the choice arises in terms of morality)
Love the aesthetic, the art direction is superb.
Weapons are punchy, aiming is slick.
Cole and Julianna are great characters, love their dialogue exchanges.
I'm going to play the shit out of this.
Typical Arkane stuff. Sublime 👍

I’m early but I like what I’m seeing.

Question about Turrets - can you only remove the battery when you first encounter the Turret? I picked it up and used it on some enemies but can’t seem to get the battery out now. Feel like I’m missing something.

I finished this game yesterday, took about 20 hours.

I really liked the art style. It's cool game and once you get hold of all your powers and learn the maps you can do quite neat runs.

I wish game would be little more open like Prey: Mooncrash, but I guess you need to guide people towards the goal if you want them to actually finish the game and not get stuck in the loop. Maybe there could be some kind of DLC with more open goals and harder difficulty.

I think this is a game that really needed difficulty modes. Both for the AI and an option to reduce the level of handholding. I really wish I could have been allowed to figure a lot of it out for myself.

Only 90 minutes in but I agree here. Nonstop tutorials so far. To be fair they’ve been well done and concise but at times it’s a bit much.

What are you guys using the delivery terminals for? I’m around 15 hours in and just haven’t felt the need to use them. Am I missing something?

Amazes me that people are like "Oh i finished this in 15 hours". Like, are you literally just clicking checkpoint after checkpoint and being handheld the entire way? 'Cause you really are missing out on the point of the game.

I figured out you can just press square while hovering over the battery area of the Turret then it should take it out.

did you turn off the waypoints?

I didn't but I really should have. Will turn them off and see if the descriptions and notes alone are good enough to navigate off.

This game has a very unique… style and identity? Just the side lore is fucking “out there”. Not in a bad way at all, just creative in a way you don’t see very much in games.

Thank you for this. Weird that there’s no prompt past the very first little tutorial but I’m glad I know now. Thought I was going insane lol

I’m confused by a few things in this game, and that’s okay.

Do I get to keep anything if I die 3 times in a loop? I just killed Julianna, but then died escaping, and lost my teleport ability along with all my awesome weapons. Wha?! So every time you die you lose everything, period?

I can’t imagine the entire game is like this but… maybe? 🤔

No, refer to my reply above about keeping items or losing them depending on if they are infused.

Essentially: Infused items lost (swapped out) during a loop will be temporarily lost until a new day starts. Sacrificed items are lost/no long in your inventory after a new loop (but you can get them again). Items not infused will be lost if you die all 3 times as that starts a new loop.

If you have a slab infused and must switch it out for a new one, then you'll temporarily lose it for that loop. Once you die (fully) or start a new loop you'll be able to find all infused trinkets, slabs, and trinkets in your loadout menu.

Killing a visionary again after already having the slab will get you slab upgrades (essentially trinkets for slabs). The rules above apply to these as well. You can also get these from killing a Julianna.

Finished the game, so on my way to platinum doing trophy by trophy in no rushed enjoyable manner and loving it even more! As it forces me to kill or play in general different ways than usual.

Also, in between trophy hunting - being a sadistic prick as Julianna and murdering those poor souls who are trying to finish their little game 😈

I've been invading all day, it's surprisingly fun. A whole different way to play the game. Aether with Ghost is really fun if you are patient.

This is the most addicted I’ve been to a game in God knows how long which is totally weird because I think the game is good but nothing great. It just has that catch.

Yeah, same here

I always want to go back as soon as I turn off the game.

And usually I preffer linear, story driven games

I thought that I would get bored quickly. "Only 4 levels?!". But its so full of content.
Always finding something new, a new objective, new clue, something new about the story ...

Its so addicting

Haven’t been able to find one single delivery booth code after 12 hours. Where are you guys finding them?

It is written on a whiteboard in the bunker area.

For some reason it is a code the game does not automatically take a note of for you. You have to remember it or write it down yourself.
