Bump cause this game is coming out TOMORROW

Went by Gamestop to confirm it is in fact tomorrow and I think I heard something about street date so some places must already have it.
All well and good till the dude on the counter asked me if I bought Record of Agarest War.

I hate being a 2D shooter fan.

I see GameStop.com shipped mine today. And the delivery confirmation says it went first class mail. I mean...really? The whole package is light enough to go that way? They must have stuffed it into a god-forsaken oversized bubble mailer.

The Agarest War box was really flimsy. I guess I can look forward to a nice Deathsmiles pancake in the mail in a couple days.

Get used to it. Every Japanese niche genre developer is stuffing fanservice, moe, and lolis into their games to make more money.

I didn`t get the call yet from the Gamestop bot but I was there yesterday and they said it`s still good for Wednesday.

I used a promo credit too and I'm a Prime member so it better be out the door by the end of today. Been waiting for so long.

Have mines pre-ordered at my store. Comes in today, but will probably wait to pick it up next week. Still got a lot on my plate atm :)

Does anyone know if Fry's is supposed to get this game in? I think they typically get Aksys' games, but Deathsmiles isn't listed on their site, so I dunno. I'd really like to avoid going to Gamestop. Or buying it online.

Anyway, I'm pretty excited for this, but I'm not sure it's going to top Ketsui for me. Because I really like Ketsui.

Soldner-X is a Euroshmup. After years of consistently shitty quality, you still have expectations for any shooter coming out of that continent?

Okay I got to Gamestop and picked up my copy.

There were dudes in baseball caps, striped shirts, and flip-flops all over the damn place but at least the Deathsmiles LE box is a lot smaller than I expected. Everyone still turned their fucking head towards me and the game though like I had just asked for a dead infant to eat. To throw off the person at the counter I also picked up copies of Spy Fiction and Drakengard 1 for cheap as free. On top of that I was there yesterday and got Timeshift, NCAA 2010, and Unreal Tournament 3(gifts for my little brother) so the dude doesn't know what the heck.

Anyway I'm out to play this.

lol.. watch out what you label as a euroshmup

I called shoot 1-up (the 80 point xbox live indie shmup) a euroshmup style game and said the cheap price and quality would harm efforts by Cave to sell their games at a reasonable price in the west and was attacked on this board for it.

They need to start handing over these scandalous games over in brown wrapping. It works for porn, right?

Started up with Windia and rank 1ed my way to the final boss before choking.
Picked up Rosa and rank 1 again. This time I not only get the 1CC but I also tripled my score. Sure it's only 60 millionish and rank 1 but hey it's a 1CC and I'll take it. First time I've ever 1CCed an arcade game in less than an hour. :lol

Pretty clear disconnect though. The final boss is like several times harder than the entire rest of the game.

Will have to consider moving up some ranks now.

I was about to order from Amazon yesterday when I saw that they weren't shipping until July 2nd. Ordered instead from VGP, but it seems to be stuck in the processing phase. =( I'm hoping that they ship later today so I can get it tomorrow. I'm itching for a shmup to play!

It may be premature, but I'm glad that I didn't order from Amazon if they're now taking 2-4 weeks.

I dunno, the delivery estimate for my preorder is still July 2 even tho still unshipped. It might be packed up really late cuz that's happened before with other orders.

2-4weeks is just an estimate, they might get more sooner but that wide gap keeps them from dealing with too many complaints if they're late.

After picking up Sin and Punishment yesterday and absolutely loving it, I decided to pick this gem up today.

I haven't followed it long but how would most shooter fans rank this game with others? Is it one of the most popular?

This game doesn't share leaderboards with the Japanese version so my paltry 30 million got me the top spot by a wide margin. :lol :lol :lol

I just had to get a picture cause for one brief moment I am #1 in the USA. :D

BTW don't pick Follette's 2nd ending if the kids are watching. Nothing serious but hey you never know. Oh and don't pick Rosa at all if that's the case as well. For some reason Rosa's fairy keeps forgetting her underwear.

BTW x2 I thought Aksys changed the ages of everybody so that they'd all be legal...guess that fell through. Yeesh talk about the shit kids go through in these games.

Whoo, picked it up at the local gamestop here. Promptly cancelled my amazon preorder (july 2nd shipout it seemed). It does come in an adorable little box!

Won't be on the leaderboards till august.

Got a call from my buddy this morning that the game was in. Got super pumped as Ive been pumping myself up all last week. Went to go pick it up and asked how many people reserved it since I saw 3 extra copies and he said "no one but you" haha. Since I reserved it they sent an extra amount incase it sells out. This is my first console owned Cave title and it feels damn good. I also own ESPGaluda II on my iPod. Glad to be part of the community here. The game is fantastic. Playing it with my SF4 stick and it plays fantastic.

FWIW, my Gamestop (located on a military base) had four preorders and three extras. So nice to see the Cave logo on the back of a NA box!
