I think it's network. I've had the game hitch a couple of times right before network activity. I think it's just a bug. New update seems to have fixed the issue where the tower knight boss fight would often disconnect you as a summon, before the knight dies and you get the credit and souls for it.Happened twice to me.
Restarting the console helps.
I'm not sure why it happens.
Thank you!1- Yes and it will stack with the ring. Gets more powerful as you upgrade it but will not stack with ANOTHER of the same type of weapon.
2- For the monk' head wrapping just go online and put your sign down anywhere in latria...you'll get pulled in. I have like 20 of the head wrappings now from getting pulled in and then people dying before getting to the boss, that's not counting the time's I've actually fought and killed them. Do that once, you can get your head wrapping and be done.
3- that door opens up if you're online. Shows the pantheon of players across the world.
4- You have to bring the souls to him, unfortunately. Oddly, you don't seem to have to bring the stones and upgrade materials, but you have to have the souls on you.
Have fun!
Yeah, I think something is wrong with that. I keep getting messages all the time that my note has been rated, but every single one I've come back across so far reports no ratings. I see other messages with THOUSANDS and HUNDREDS of ratings though. Go figure. You guys have a problem with getting messages rated? I've got 1 rating since the game dropped. Every message I've left is 0. Probably left about 20 messages around. Helpful ones too. Lol
No, I think they've updated the AI on at least some of the enemies and bosses. Flamelurker used to be laughably easy to get stuck in an area of his arena and I don't think that's the case anymore. Tower Knight certainly doesn't just give up and give you his back much anymore, skeletons are more aggressive (I don't think they give up on chasing you like they used to... trying to just run thru 4-1 with the thief ring even..doesn't seem possible anymore)...etc. Oh, the Dragon God, which used to be pretty much a joke and a 'gimme' is SERIOUS now. You'd BETTER pay attention to him! So I think they cranked things up a notch overall. That being said, some of the ways to deal with those enemies are part of what the experience is. Figuring it out so you can move thru the levels and shortcuts. That's also why the world and character tendencies are cool as they can change things up and give you additional challenges.Souls vets:
Does this remake feel easier to you?
I just beat Flamelurker second attempt without much trouble. Okay, I’m using magic and have the spiked shield, but I remember him being a lot harder.

1-1 red eye knight seems harder to cheese with the stairs trick.

No there is a certain spot on the staricase you need to stand and he falls every single time.
LOL. I don't remember if it happens in the PS3 version as well, but I found that you can't kill the Red Dragon in 1-1. I was killing him on the bridge, whittling him down as he did his flame runs and then he just flew off and disappeared! He was back in 1-2 and unfortunately...back to full health!
I just finished doing all the -1 world levels with my level 6 royalty (Crescent Falchion +1 FTW!) and took out the leech monger as well. Heading for the Large Sword of Moonlight tonight! Get that nice an early and already have some colorless demon souls to upgrade it! This char is going to be a BEAST at, or a tad lower than soul level 20! Lots of sneaking, but I've killed everything along the way!

Just a normal problem the PS5 has with this game.I think the update broke my game. It gets stuck on the title screen.
Should have tried that before I deleted and reinstalled.Just a normal problem the PS5 has with this game.
Turn it off and on again. Right as rain. Umbasa.
Did you kill him on the bridge he hits with flame in the very first level of the palace? 1-1? Or did you kill him after fighting the first boss- Phalanx? I was shooting him on the very first bridge where you first see him. If you were able to kill him there, I must have had a glitch somehow. I wasn't able to kill him till later when you're running along the walkways while he makes flaming runs. Get to the top of the first tower and shoot him for 10-20 minutes.Oh I thought that might be the case. I only tried running downstairs full blast and he followed really far almost every time.
He flew away? That's weird. Maybe thief ring effect? I was able to kill him in like 20 mins using soul arrows.
Recognise the feeling and joy of when a scary, hostile, confusing area gets completely familiar and feels like home. That is, ultimately, what the Souls hook is for me.
Each time you die and restart at the bonfire, you are one step closer to that warm familiarity.
Some practical tips
- Don’t overlook the bow in chipping down energy of tougher enemies, or enemies that have a hard-to-block close attack
- Always hold your shield up when you are anywhere
- Some enemies in Demon’s Souls specifically may seem to have a lot of energy when you use the L1 attack, but will lose a lot of it to a L2 thrust attack (provided your weapon has thrust)
- Roll makes you invincible to almost anything for a second or so
you can do it! some beginners tips:As a Nintendo Fan and this being my first souls game. Even the peasants and lowly mobs are kicking my ass Someone teach me to be good. I'm used to prancing through meadows and jumping on goombas heads.
I play a mage and in the original I was able to snipe the Tower Knight from above with magic. I tried this time and nope I get hit.No, to me it feels the same.
Some bosses gave me more trouble in the original, others gave me more trouble in the Remake.
I killed the Tower Knight way more easy in the Remake.
The Leechmonger however was harder than i remember, i didn't had any trouble with him in the original.
Nah, we used to cheese by shooting through the fog and killed one of them before the fight even started. Felt good.I've finished all the others (except Dark Souls II, which I hate...but feel an obligation to get through). This is my first time playing Demon's Souls, though, and I'm enjoying it well enough. It seems like the AI could have used an update, though, unless it was good and then broken in the remake. It seems like the Thief Ring is nearly game-breaking in a lot of places. It allowed me to completely cheese the Maneater fight last night. If you get around the center torch thing, you can circle around easily to where one Maneater will forget about you and turn his back allowing for quick attacks before repeating and the other one that shows up just gets bored and flies away. It was able to deal with them one at a time this way, without even taking a single hit. Was this the case in the original?
Ugh. I hate it when people do that. I only invade to get the trophy stuff and if I see I'm invading the same person...after the second or third time if I see it's happened again, I just pull back out. I'm not in the game to wreck anyone's day!Enjoying it.
But some red phantom prick has turned up at the beginning of 4-1 and I’ve died about 30 times straight to him. One shots me.

Dragon God was either changed or has a glitch where you get burned after breaking the very last obstacle. I have seen it happen to others and it happened to me too. It's like if you go too fast you get burned. When I went slower it worked as I remember.
Magic might be slightly slower too than the original.
I also don't recall be de-leveled for dying to gravity as an invader.

I thought I was going crazy when I would spam my spell as quickly as possible and it wasn't fast enough. I looked up some guides online and they all said "yeah, just stand up top and get him with magic lol" and I thought I must have been doing something wrong. The main difference i felt until now was in the Leechmonger fight, in the original i remember killing him from afar using Magic. In the Remake i couldn't outdamage his healing, so i went to close combat and killed him using the fire resin in my sword.
I have not made it to Leechmonger yet but yeah I recall doing the same strat you mentioned. What spell did you use against him? I remember using homing soul arrow and maybe fireball or flame toss.Currently i finished all the *-1 bosses and Tower Knight. And i'm using the same starting build i played in the original(Royal).

In the original i killed the Tower Knight with magic too, but in the Remake i had some trouble hitting him with magic, so i went to close combat too and it ended up being way easier, i used a hit-and-run tactic and after you damage him enough, he will fall into the ground and you can deal some good damage.
I'm planning to play the original again when i finish the main PS5 games released thus far, i still have my PS3 and physical copy of the game, so i will see what is really different in the game and what is variations from my playstyle changing through the years.

Yeah I went down and killed him on ground level too.....pretty easy. Yeah I still my copy too and I can play it on my PC with better resolution.
Oh wow and that was not enough to counter the health regen? That's crazy but good to know.I used the Fireball spell in the remake, can't remember if i used a stronger spell in the og game.
Sorry i meant to say flame toss.Oh wow and that was not enough to counter the health regen? That's crazy but good to know.

They're kicking my ass... And every person I have summoned has been more useless than me.The maneater fight was brutal.
Its so easy to get pushed of the sides.
And when you dont kill the first one fast enough and the second comes its basically over.
But i managed to kill them.
Feels good.
Onto the next one!
What level are you? I didn't have much trouble with them. Take a dragon sword +5 there and you should be fine. A magic shield should help with his wind attack. They're kicking my ass... And every person I have summoned has been more useless than me.
