Of for fucking real Bungie? I had to do 25 fucking strikes to get to next step of the exotic weapon bounty, and that was a pain in the ass. Now the next thing I have to do is get something from fucking Xur who won't even show up until Friday.

Side missions mostly during patrols and high level strikes. I have also did the weekly nightfall strike so I get a bonus in exp gained.

Actually last night I got a legendary engram and received an exotic sniper rifle called patience and time.

The game's been out less than a week. If they patched everything up to maximize advancement speed/efficiency, folks would be done within a day or two.

I'm sure they'll tweak things and make adjustments (they already have in a couple of cases) but they're probably going to look at a longer time frame than one week.

If it's too awful to contemplate playing under the current circumstances, just put the game down for a bit and wait for to see if it's patched. If anything, a large decline in the online community will probably push Bungie to think about changes more seriously than just bitching while still playing.

This game really only works with a vibrant online community, any indication that it is dying an early death will certainly spur them into action.

So two legendary engrams tonight, one random drop and one (goddamn class) legendary from the cryptarch. Both shitty rares. And now Bungie patched farmspots? Gg Bungie. Keep going at it and I'm done with this shit pretty quick.

Moon farmspot is pretty good though.

Why the hell do most shops for new gear require you to play Crucible? I think there's only the Vanguard vendor that doesn't. There's about 4 or 5 other vendors and they're useless if you don't want to play PvP. God dammit.

To your first point, I honestly did it because it makes more sense in terms of accessibility to an audience. Being that this version isn't final, I'm gonna consult my editor about certain decisions and rewrite a few things. It may end up being that "the Traveler" replaces those "God" references, though, at the same time, it isn't that far-fetched to think that old idioms and ways of saying things like that would've been preserved in the language.

On the accent point, it makes the accent more identifiable to the reader without me having to explicitly say, "This character has a Scottish accent". I might tone it down more, but some speech mannerisms will stay.

Also, I gotta ask, what did you think of the characters themselves? First impressions, etc. This helps me with characterization.

Just going off my experience, but yes to both. Depending on the skulls that come with the weekly strike (ie it was arc burn this last week) it can be either okay or a monster. Arc burn was horrid against hordes of Fallen who all use arc based weapons, but there's been daily missions where juggler (no ammo drops for the weapon currently in use) was the skull and that's real easy, since you'll usually switch between standard-special-heavy regularly anyway.

The strike finishing tonight, you're gonna want help. The missions? Generally fine at 21, unless Vex are involved. Axis Minotaurs are the devil.

FARMING UPDATE

Ok the Shrine of Oryx farming technique does still work. I believe you have to do it on Level 12 HARD. I tried it on I think 14 HARD and it didn't work. I quit out and went back on 12 HARD and it worked straight away.

PS4 GAF I need someone's assistance.

Tonight in about 3-4 hours my friend and I will be doing the weekly nightfall to get an Exotic weapon reward. He and I are both level 26.

We need 1 more who is 26(or higher) to help complete. I am Warlock, he is Hunter, and we'll take anything for a third, but a Titan would be great for bubbleshield or another Warlock Sunsinger who can also revive himself in case things get hairy.

We have gotten to the tank before, but that was just duo.

Did all my vanguard and crucible bounties. Is there any other way to farm rep that isn't a strike or patrol? The time you spend doing a strike isn't worth the little amount of rep you get from it and 10 rep a patrol would take me years to get my faction level up to 2. Hyperbole obviously, but you guys get the point.

Ugh this game is so grindy and half the time it doesn't even pay off. Bungie seriously needs to do something about this.

No.
The descriptions on these things tell you exactly what you can get.

The exotic engram can only give you an exotic.
The exotic can be for any class though.

Man the Level 22 Earth Vanguard mission was way too bullet spongey for me. Granted I was level 21 and the other two 20, but it's the first time I've felt the games been too spongey, as it wasn't hard at all (it's still fun when it's challenging), just took too long.

What's the best way to get ascendant shards? I need a bunch so I can level up my exotic helmet and get to level 26 by tomorrow! The item description says it's available via "Raids" -- does that mean Strikes?

They didn't patch the farm spots. I just did the Shrine of Oryx spot on the Moon with no trouble.

Where are you guys getting these shaders that actually look good at? All the ones you can buy at the tower look like shit. I'm level 24 and I've yet to find any shaders in the wild or anything.
