Level 9. Heroic modifier adds more enemies.
What does it mean when your enemy in PvP has a blue bar above his health??
No I meant, what mats did you get by salvaging it?
it was no backup plans. an armpiece for titan
got it from a purple engram
I'm stuck at LVL 21, what's the best place to get new gear?
OK, this is the way I understand it. Once you are at 20, you can buy optional faction class items that will then allow all reputation earned, to go toward your chosen faction reputation. (By default, some PvE events earns Vanguard Rep. and PvP earns Crucible rep.) Equip Future War Cult class item, earn Future War Cult Reputation.
To purchase any legendary gear from a vendor, it becomes a combination of required reputation rank and marks. Legendary armors require Reputation Rank 2 and between 65-120 marks. Legendary weapons require Reputation Rank 3 and 150 marks. The type of reputation and marks required by the vendor are as follows:

Am I missing something here? To me it seems far more vendors/factions use Crucible marks as the two part currency (Rep + Marks) for legendary gear compared to Vanguard marks. As far as I can tell, you can only earn Crucible marks by playing PvP or exchanging materials to the Crucible Quartermaster (eg 50 Spinmetal) Does this not mean Legendary gear available through vendors is skewed toward PvP grinding? I hope I am wrong, as I don't really enjoy playing PvP for more than a match or two.
So it's better to dismantle green engrams than to turn them into the cryptarch for cryptarch rep?
I just finally got the exotic bounty. Do you pick any of them or do certain ones give you specific gun types?

How did you get the bounty?
This is why I stayed vanguard/crucible. I don't care for pvp in this game.

Yes, there are more factions to buy gear from when PvPing. But they also don't really provide anything better than the vanguard items, they just look different and have some other stats. Also PvE DOES get special vendors, like Xur or the Queen's Emissary.
Right, but you are still shit out of luck in regards to marks. You still need Crucible marks once you have the necessary reputation rank. No?If you get with one of the factions, all reputation you earn goes towards them. This means I believe you can level up the faction with normal bounties and doing strikes and free roam.
I dislike the heavy slant towards pvp. I want to use my vanguard marks. Bungie, a lot of people don't want to pvp or endlessly collect 50 materials. Give us Vanguard mark options.OK, this is the way I understand it. Who are they? The "advantage" if you can call it that from the three optional factions is that you are guaranteed specific talents. Eg, New Monarchy, I know I will get armor that gives Intellect and Strength. Vanguard Quartermaster, it is random from what I understand. Guess it really doesn't matter much in the bigger picture. Just a gripe that all three optional factions utilize Crucible marks. Maybe some expansions or updates will change that. IMO, all three optional factions should accept either Vanguard or Crucible marks.

found an exotic
dismantled it
I got some Hunter helmet that I almost dismantled-but saved in vault if I ever choose to go hunter route
they really need to implement a share/trade loot system

Use a scout rifle and just aim it down the middle, that way you can avoid shooting the Knights. What difficulty level were you playing? I tried yesterday and didn't get nearly that kind of loot. One blue and maybe 4 greens after about 45min. Also, were you taking out the yellow bar guys, or just letting everyone rush you? I was too afraid to lay down serious fire because I didn't want to kill the Knights.
I enjoy sending my enemies souls screamimg back to hell.Is it weird that, I kind of enjoyed the story and thought it was enough for now?

What about marks? Vanguard marks go to them too?

vanguard marks are useless for me since I have a Dead Orbit bond equipped right? Cause it's not like my vanguard rank is getting any higher cause the rep is going straight to D.O.
Gotta say, game is really pissing me off right now. I had 3 Legendary engrams, and two of them turned to a mote of light and a blue. I also leveled up my Cryptarch 4 times, and got only one purple in all the items gifted as a reward, which again turned out to be a mote of light.
WTF? Make a purple a bloody purple. It's hard enough getting them that dicking us over with anamolies is not necessary.

It may be random but it does seem there is something going on with level. SEEMS like it.
I did the moonPCP at 6th level and not only barely got greens, and many waves got nothing, I got no blues though a random legendary did pop.
Switched to 9th level and every single wave of enemies dropped something. It was like night and day.
