I personally love it the way it is. I'd say get used to it, it's not broken. That's what the PVP in Destiny is all about. There's plenty of viable solutions to prevent getting frustrated in these situations by changing up your playstyle a little bit.

the wild thing from my perspective is that the supers are... kind of balanced? Against each other, anyway. Almost everything has a hard rock-paper-scissors counter and some matchups result in almost even battles despite both sides having "OP" stuff going on.

Dash in to slice a Titan in arc blade- he does his drop and gets shielded, my slice tickles him, he slams and I die.
Defender Titan drops his shield and gets crazy position and buffs, Warlock void bombs it and he's done.
Gunslinger turns on, fires at a just-ignited Sunsinger, who now can't be taken down in one shot.

Last night I also had my first ever arc blade vs. arc blade melee fight, was surprised it hadn't happened before. Was tense, frantic, acrobatic and awesome.

Are there certain types of weapons more efficient with a specific class? As a titan I love to use the handcannon but I feel like the game is trying to tell me to use either the pulse or auto rifle with all the bonus I get from armors and such...

Nah, this isn't a thing. Use what you like.

You might as well just do one of the many PVE farm methods. I feel like those give way more engrams than running Crucible.

Eh, you may be right. I've had such garbage luck with any of the farming methods. Although I may try the Moon farming method again tonight. I just hate running for an hour with nothing to show for it (which has happened both times I've done the Moon method).

So I got an exotic auto rifle last night after playing a strike. I've been a level 24 for three days now and I've haven't even received a legendary item yet.

Did you get it as an activity reward?

Eh, you may be right. I've had such garbage luck with any of the farming methods. Although I may try the Moon farming method again tonight. I just hate running for an hour with nothing to show for it (which has happened both times I've done the Moon method).

I won't pretend to know how the loot system works, but with Crucible it feels like you're rolling the loot dice once every 5-10 minutes, while wtih PVE farming you're rolling it once every kill.

There are multiple chest spawns. Just to in each room where enemies spawn, there are around 3-4 easy ones, and sometimes random chests spawn in the larger rooms.

Have you checked the Post Master? Any gear or Engrams you didn't pick up usually go there for you to collect.

I did an Earth farm run where I lost a bunch of greens, blue's and one purple. I was expecting it to go to my post master, but it didn't.

I think it only goes to the Postmaster if it's a mission you're on where you forget to pick the stuff up, but still complete.

I actually doubt they will. I won't say I'm 100% certain yet, but these farming methods actually don't really provide a distinct advantage to players over other players.

Completely different IMO. The PvP reward table has stuff like outright exotic drops, shaders, strange coins, etc. that rarely if ever drop from PvE mobs (at the least, substantially less than Legendary engrams).

Why the fuck do I have 3 exotic weapons and an exotic weapon bounty?

RNGesus told me to fuck off yesterday. I got a purple chestpiece off of a legendary engram...after I fucking bought a purple chestpiece I've upgraded from a vendor.

Because of that (and I suggest you folks do the same who can), I've decided to wait until Friday to spend all my marks on gear. I have 17 Strange Coins. I'm going to be getting some armor whether this game wants me to or not.

Why the fuck do I have all these guns.

In my prayers I saw a vision...guardian armory...RNGesus speaks to us all guardian, we just have to listen!

I shed a tear as I had to buy my first stat-laden epic. I was hoping it wouldn't have to be this way.

Yep. That will be my main Vita usuage too. Just can't aim well enough with those little sticks to do high level missions or strikes. Though unusually just end up playing Diablo 3 since that controls perfectly.

Why do you like to dissuade people from farming?

Completely different IMO. The PvP reward table has stuff like outright exotic drops, shaders, strange coins, etc. that rarely if ever drop from PvE mobs (at the least, substantially less than Legendary engrams).

Given that blue engrams have a chance to become strange coins, and legendaries into exotics, I don't think the reward table really matters when you're just as likely to get anything from any method. I also had to throw out like 3 dupe PVP shaders yesterday so lol.

IMO buying greens from the cryptarch is a losing game. Glimmer is definitely better spent. Level up the cryptarch from having him identify every blue engram you'll find, and you'll find blue engrams doing anything. We don't even have a clue what raising Cryptarch rank does.

The fact that the aim penalty for firing in midair doesn't hurt it nearly as much as other weapons means you give yourself the chance to outplay anyone if you play your cards right.

If you are any decent in PvP you can do that bounty easily with void fusion rifle.

That's the problem, I suck at PvP .

Pretty sure that's just 500 points. There's another exotic bounty that someone thought they meant to kill 10,000 guardians in the crucible and it turned out they just needed 10,000 points and it took them ~10 games.

Thats makes it a bit better. I'll give it another college try but I'm tuuuurrrrible lol.

I really enjoy it, the only one I seem to suck at is Clash, but I've still not tried that in a coordinated fireteam, so that is probably the problem there.

1. Multiplayer for now doesn't have level advantage, so it normalizes damage of all weapons to a standard of their basic stats.

2. Shingen-E is most likely the AR you're getting killed by. Just go with that once you find one.

3. Blink and Titan shield need to have some kind of longer cooldown if not a nerf to their skills. At least for PvP.

I just gotta tell you, I went back in last night using the Shingen-E and you're absolutely correct. I was now able to outshoot people. I had actually already had one in my inventory, but wasn't using it because it had a less damage rating than the gun I was using. Thank you for that advice. It just changed my entire experience.

Typically you want to but you can get away with it slightly past shotgun range.

You can also 'drag' the fusion rifle across multiple targets too.
