Exotic bounty complete! It was the "light in a dark" for the Thorn handcannon. Honestly I didn't think it was hard so if you are wanting the easiest exotic bounty when you have the option choose this one.
A couple friends and I did it both last week and this week. It's hard but well worth it. The rewards were great both times.

I have a feeling the higher the grimoire the more legendary drops you get.
I'm 1355, Level 24 and I've only ever gotten ONE legendary engram. Haven't seen anything purple before or after

One legendary was arms for another class I don't play and the other is a shit scout rifle.

This twitter is amazing.
I don't get all of these? I have the auto pulse rifle and it destroys anything and everything in its path, including the shottys which typically don't get in range or just get knifed when they do. Seriously only about 2/10 times do they actually succeed. I get the rest but the weapons eludes me, I'm running with a level 16 strangers rifle still and it's way better than my legendary shotty for PvP.

I was doing patrol missions on the moon but would check caves and buildings for chests as I did the missions for extra materials. Not any type of direct reward.

I THINK it decodes stuff in the fields. I am level 4 cryptarch and greens are instantly converted to weapons now pretty much. Unless they are just weapon drops? IDK but it seem like I have only really gotten blues that need to be taken back to the tower now.

1510, level 26, 6 legendaries, 4 of which I bought.
I feel like I've been playing the game wrong. I'm level 24 and it isn't till now that I started seriously doing all Vanguard and Crucible bounties in order to get enough marks and rep for their gear. I only just now bought a faction item. I have 130 or so Crucible marks so I think I'm doing ok there, but only like 40 Vanguard marks. I only just reached rank 1 on Vanguard too. What a waste. This is gonna take forever.
1215, level 22, zero legendaries or exotics. Im probably just gonna use my Vanguard marks to buy them if I dont stumble across one. No big deal. The Vanguard strikes are super fun anyway.
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but the reason strikes don't seem to be dropping much gear is the advisories on Bnet are the way to open them up. I have one sitting there right now where I need to beat 5 more strikes (50 total) and then cloaks, marks and bonds will start dropping too. Perhaps once you hit 75 or 100 it makes legendary or exotic gear available as end of round drops too?

25, 1520, I've gotten 23 legendary engrams and two actual legendaries from it, I bought two armor pieces from the crucible/vanguard.
Basically, you just need to decide what you want to do first. You can always switch where the reputation is going by equipping the class item for that faction.
They drop from Fallen enemies and you can trade them in for glimmer.

Im level 24 my score is a bit lower then yours ans I've run into a handful of purple engrams. Id say five roughly. Only one purple from them but I've gotten my other purple from s blue enegram

The RNGoddess clearly hates us and is taunting us. I have a legendary chest piece for a Titan in my vault. I'm a Warlock :/

They are a money item that you turn into the cryptarch for 200 glimmer. when you go to him and he just starts handing out glimmer, you are turning them in.
They are dropped by Fallen.
You can give them to the Cryptarch for 200 glimmer.

When I start a new subclass, do the early nodes still require the same low XP that the first subclass did? Or do they level up when your light levels do?

Grimoire is 1500. Level 25. I've only gotten 3 legendaries. One in the wild and two from leveling the cryptarch to 6 and 7. The one from the wild turned into a blue. The two from the cryptarch turned into legendary chest armor and a legendary MG. And both happened on back to back days. Yesterday and Monday.

I feel like this is flawed though since higher of each of these numbers just means you played more, increasing your opportunity for legendaries.
