No no. You still gain Vanguard marks no matter what. But you no longer gain Vanguard rep, you'll gain faction rep. If you take off the bond, then you will continue to earn Vanguard rep again.

When I start a new subclass, do the early nodes still require the same low XP that the first subclass did? Or do they level up when your light levels do?

Yeah they unlock pretty fast.

Best way is to do some bounties with exp bonus and get the early stuff (double jump and super) at least unlocked before using tho.

its a good spot if you know what youre doing. you cant stand too close to the cave or else only 4 enemies will spawn

if you back off a few feet 6+ will come out and respawn way faster

Grimoire is 1545, level 27 with about 7 dropped engrams but at least another 7 from increasing vendor ranks. 3 turned into actual legendary gear and the rest was purchased.

At one time, yes. If you ever get to the point that you feel like you have too much, just buy some bulshit from the cryptarch for weapon parts (keeping a version of each gun with each elemental type gets pricey quick) or buy heavy and special ammo synthesis. if you want things to be quick and relatively painless with the harder content, they are a requirement.

I feel like this is flawed though since higher of each of these numbers just means you played more, increasing your opportunity for legendaries.

Fair point. I wanted to see if there was a clearer correlation but it also seems random.

Wondering what the grimoire bonuses can do. or what they are. Wish we could see them...

I was doing patrol missions on the moon but would check caves and buildings for chests as I did the missions for extra materials. Not any type of direct reward.

Ah ok. I kind of swore off Patrols because they just seemed so worthless on the xp/gear front relative to every other game mode, but I might have to bite the bullet and do them a bit again for vanguard rep at least, and actually engaging in a successful event would be nice.

Im level 24 my score is a bit lower then yours ans I've run into a handful of purple engrams. Id say five roughly. Only one purple from them but I've gotten my other purple from s blue enegram

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but the reason strikes don't seem to be dropping much gear is the advisories on Bnet are the way to open them up. I have one sitting there right now where I need to beat 5 more strikes (50 total) and then cloaks, marks and bonds will start dropping too. Perhaps once you hit 75 or 100 it makes legendary or exotic gear available as end of round drops too?

100 per clan max, hence the divisions.

I've gotten 3 legendary engrams. One from farming and 2 from PvP (I play A LOT of PvP). I didn't get any purple gear from them. The Legendary gear I have I bought.
