Fusion rifles need a huge nerf. The range on those things is fucking unacceptable. At least with the shotgun you have to be point blank range to get a kill or else you'll be throwing pebbles. Being killed from 20 feet away with one of those is frustrating.

Can people stop asking for nerfs every time they get killed by something? That would be great.

I personally prefer using hand cannons (dat impact), but does it not seem like the community has come to the consensus that ARs are the way to go? Not to mention shotguns or fusion rifles. I like to see a little variety, honestly.

The only thing I know about the patch is that it's supposed to fix the centipede error for those of us at a university with an overprotective firewall.

I usually use an AR just out preference, but I think Pulse Rifles are viable. I haven't tried Hand Cannons in PvP yet, but I can imagine them being good in one on one encounters, and perhaps beyond that.

Do you enjoy every single person in PvP running around with the Auto Rifle which has the stability mod for no recoil, a Shotgun of pretty much any description with the highest stats available, and a Fusion Rifle?

Crucible marks maxed for now. Since I started using the AR I've lost 2 games. Picking shots with a hand cannon really isn't properly rewarded. Not enough damage and it has the kick off something that just blew someone's head off. Maybe they'll shine in Iron Banner, I dunno.

Getting a headshot severely lacks in oomph. They're great in PvE though.

What's the key to being effective in PvE with a handcannon? I tried to use one for a strike, I never felt like I was doing much damage and ended up switching back to a burst rifle really quickly. For reference, I'm a defender Titan who largely stays at a mid range to avoid melee attacks.

Decided to spend 7 Motes of Light on the Blessing of the Speaker emblem since apparently no one else on earth has it.

Best decision I've made all day. So badass.

I've had some bad luck with multiple Legendary Engrams giving me blue items.
However, last night I was helping my friends do one of the Level 18 random Strikes. I got 3 engram drops from monsters in a single Strike and they gave me the following:

Legendary Primary Weapon Engram:
Exotic:

Rare Helmet Engram:
Legendary:

Rare Gloves Engram:
Legendary:

Unfortunately I am a Titan so I couldn't use the gloves but that was some incredible luck.
For reference my Cryptarch level is 6.

You just got to get a good one. A lot of the ones in the early game have really small magazine sizes which makes them pretty useless. Wait till you find fancy ones with bigger magazines, huge damage output, solid stability, and faster rate of fire.

Make sure the hand cannon is an appropriate level, as well.

I have a rare hand cannon that aaaaaalmost kills in two headshots in PvP. If I could get that done, I'd be great. I'm still pretty happy with it, has a 13 round mag so I can pull off 3-4 kills back to back, assuming I don't get doubled by people with ARs.

Aim for the head. That's about it really. I have a rare one that hits for 1200 on critical hits which takes out basic enemies in one hit as well as vandals. Keep calm and get that headshot. If you am for the body it takes 3 instead of 1 to get the kill.

Pulse rifles are viable, I've been using the Stranger's Rifle in PvP and come out in the top 3 consistently. Pulse rifle bursts are more accurate and have minimal spread, so aiming for the head typically results in a lot of damage. I've duked it out with plenty of AR users with my PR and have been fine.

I'm a Warlock. I have an awesome legendary auto rifle, a space magic nova bomb available at my fingertips, and sparkly void grenades ready to kill things. And what do I do?

I punch things. All the things. Big or small, I am going to punch it. Punching Destiny's enemies is just so much fun.

I punched Sepiks Prime. I punched Valus Ta-aurc. Neither of them were very happy about it, and they killed me, but goddamn did I punch them in their stupid faces.
