You know what was a great way to handle excess weapon parts and make them sought after, but not a bottle neck? Using them for something optional like reforging. Unfortunately, the next time something like that is offered, I'm now going to NOT take advantage of it and just horde instead.
The DeeJ non answer really puts the icing on the cake. A little "whoops, we fucked up and will put it back the way it was on Tuesday," would have gone a long way.

Weapon parts nerf was a big mistake...
Q: How can I know if the weapon I've obtained is good?
A: By leveling it up and spend 5 or 10 weapon parts for each perk tree so it can either be 15 or 30 parts invested.
Q: What happens if I like it but its light level is low?
A: Need to infuse it, it costs 10 parts each time you do this so you'll probably need to do it 4 or 5 times at minimum
So, in the best case you invest 30 parts (if it is 310 already), worst case is over 60 (270 legendary with perfect roll). If you dismantle it you only get 5-7 parts back.
Let us trade planet mats for parts, like 10:1. I have over 600 spores thanks to the ghost shell.

Be sure to use the PSN Date change trick to minimize the pain of that grind. While in orbit go to your PSN settings and change the date back one day. That way you'll be able to load into a patrol zone completely by yourself. You can do the zone in/out exploit to farm the same planetary nodes as long as necessary without blueberries screwing it up. Just find one or two nodes near a zone transition, grab it, then you have 60 seconds to sparrow out of the zone and back in and you can grab it again.
Got 10 mats in about 40 minutes last time, even if they took 15+ nodes each. By far the best way to do that garbage quest step.

I guess. I've been sunbreakering all day in regular PVP but the theorycrafter in me keeps thinking of No Backup Plans and Tlaloc instead.
I'd heard talk of that too. Hard Mode is true mode.
I'm just wondering if there's going to be any differences, like alternate paths between the bosses etc.

Reading the definition of bungle completely (obviously knew what the word implied but wanted to see a dictionary definition), it's too perfect.

I haven't done it yet, but since Bungie dropped the Atk by 20pts across the board, I'd say it'd be 290 for the dropped Spindle and 280 for the kiosk Spindle.

Yeah, that is what I don't understand. They did two things: increase the rep for weapon part turn ins (entice people to purge their hoarded parts) and reduce the parts people get (throttle the incoming stream). Both of those things are aimed at people with lots of parts. If they knew many people were constantly short, they should have done the former and not the latter.
I'll be in for 320 lootI'm not excited, but I am ready for whatever they throw at me.

I actually like just running around on Patrol doing beacon missions and whatnot so I just farmed mats along the way, did all 3 on my Nightstalker. First two were a grind, I got all 10 Moon mats in like an hour though. Now I'm just doing the Strike playlist to get my solar and arc ability kills, I got all of my Void kills (just barely) while farming the mats.

Looking at Halo 5, the weapon design is pretty damn great and between teh 3 factions it's unique.
I wish Destiny had as good weapon design :l Like the Mythoclast was fucking fantastic, they should've gone in that direction of weird. Not just....regular assault rifles with a skull attached to the end or spiky shit signifying fallen. Give me straight up Fallen or Vex weapons :l

Suprisingly, I haven't seen much of the Tlaloc in IB, and I'm a bit disappointed. I think Tlaloc would be pretty powerful, but I guess Warlocks would rather do their floaty lightning thing.
I've been wanting to try No Backup Plans as well, but I don't have the Strength number to make it work effectively. I think you would probably need to max strength and have some kind of grenade kill melee buff for it to really work.

This random light level on raid gear is really pissing me off. So not only do we have to get lucky enough to get a certain slot, we also have to pray that we're simultaneously lucky enough to get a certain light level? And that's completely ignoring desirable stats/perks. And combined with the shittiest drop rates ever? If we have a chance of getting "useless" 300 light level gear from the raid then we should at least be swimming in drops so we could upgrade our side grades to raid level.
This is the worst loot system the game has ever had for end game content, and I understand that the purpose is to prolong game play time but fuck me if it isn't the most dishearteningly dissatisfying one I've seen.
I can't believe I'm yearning for HoW's and especially Crota's loot/reward system in contrast with this. Hell, even VoG is far superior, at least then while you were forever 29 you knew that if the damned boots/helmet ever dropped, you'd make 30. And that all weapons were at maximum effectiveness without requiring the sacrifice of another RNG dependent drop.
I love playing this game, its gameplay is great. But everything else about it fucking hates me. "Respect the player's time" my ass.

By the way, it is possible to kill a Sunbreaker without Nova Bomb: you just need to unload a full clip of Bad Juju and then make sure Backstab procs. Most importantly, make sure the titan doesn't throw a hammer at you at any point during the encounter.
