If I don't get Raid gear after this week's Raid, I am officially quiting this game for the Fall bout of games, soon to be released. If I do get some however, I'll stick around for level 30 Raid and Iron Banner.
 
Still playing at a snail's pace. Still enjoying the game. Did the first story mission vs. the Vex. The way they move when enraged is so creepy. I've seen them on streams dozens of times but they still weird me out.
 
Cryptarc level gave me 2 legendary engrams : one Epitaph and one Swarm. Epitaph is arc too ! Drooling ! Its sooooo smooth, so pretty. Last gun I want so badly from Vanguard/Crucible. BUT, the two bonuses and upgrades aren't as good as the one you can buy so... Tomorrow I think I will still buy the new one with the marks

What upgrades did your Epitaph come with? I really liked the upgrades for the version the Vanguard Quartermaster was selling, so I bought it.
 
I wish the Raid gloves gave you primary weapon reload instead of special. I can't give up my hand cannon reload. They're cumbersome as fuck to use otherwise

I did a raid and it was like 3 28+ and 3 27's, and the three 27s stayed behind killing the harpies and vex. The level matters but the weapons matter more. I had an easier time when I went there at 28 but mainly because I was using that heavy void machine gun you get from the raid, and with the ammo upgrade I could kill minotaurs like there was no tomorrow.
 
Do you think destiny would have been accepted better if the missions you do in the playlists in the post game grind weren't repeats of the story missions and strikes but we're randomly generated with new terrain and enemy placement each time?

I'm a lvl29 sunblock with maxed suros and gjallarhoen. I can't speak now because of sleeping baby but I will listen to instructions. Really want to do the raid this week by reset. Is that ok with you?

Weapon upgrades are something I want to focus on but damn if these exotics don't take forever to level. I have all the material and ascendent energy I need but it's such a slow grind.

I've found that bounties are the best way to level up gear and weapons. You turn in five at once and bam!

Sometimes you even get an Exotic Bounty too.

in my experience i've only received exotic bounties after turning in 4-5 bounties at a time. YMMV.
 
Speaking of bounty experience, what's the exact science behind that? The experience spreads out evenly to everything equipped, both weapons and armor, that has not yet been maxed?

So, if you want to funnel all the experience to one item, just equip weapons and armor in all of the other slots that has already been maxed out?
 
Remember to equip fully upgraded items in all other slots to funnel all bounty XP to exotics you want to level.

Grats. I've leveled that shithead 6 times since patch, all blue engrams he's given me as a "reward". Never seen a purple anything from him.
 
So, I've been at level 27 for a while, just hit rank 3 in the crucible... and only now realize how important the apparently hidden weapon "handling" stat is. It seems I've been picking the right options without even looking at the descriptions, going by the stats alone. Equipped a legendary pulse rifle(my reward for rank 3) and it's like I'm in molasses, have to wait for the upgrade to unlock. Looked at my regular weapons and sure enough, they've all got the improved weapon handling selected.

What other hidden stats make a big difference?

By fully upgraded, is it just the XP because I have weapons I can max out at any time but just don't want to spend the glimmer/material. Would equipping those still allow me to funnel everything to my primary?

Woots, picked up my very first exotic bounty last night, chose Pocket Infinity and I just finished the bounty. Got real lucky with the gunsmith selling rare FR today. Holy cow did the 200x kills in the nightfall take a while though. Must have restarted the nightfall 35 times tonight to get em all.

Now the long task of upgrading it.
 
I'm gonna get beat to death for asking this but sorry, I'm new to Gaf and this is the only question I have.

If there is an OT (which I have researched and means Official Topic), why are there multiple "Official Topics" ? Shouldn't there be just one ?

Apologies again, I believe it may be because the original OT has 404'd or something, but I don't know. Thanks for enlightening me.
 
Thanks for the legendary titan mark engram from the level up package, cryptarch. Good thing it turned into ascendant shards.
 
If anyone out there can give a team of two level 28s (Hunter, Warlock) one last crack at Atheon on normal before the refresh, shoot me your PSN ID. We can handle the supplicants without a problem. Believe me, we've had practice...lol.
