Saw a post on another website showing a tip for "Next week's nightfall, the archon priest".

Am I missing something? Is there a schedule for nightfall and heroic strikes that I'm not aware of?

Sorry, little correction... If you have armor additions like "Extra ammo for snipers", those also count but nothing game breaking. Weapons are the same but most of the lower weapons have attributes like that too.

I have full legendary armour from farming crucible rep and marks, my point was that in 40 hours I only had one legendary item drop and haven't seen any exotic bounties despite running about 10 bounties a day on average.

Nothing from Xur has been worth buying, this week was the first week I had enough coins but for a blade dancer the items were useless.

My current best primary weapons are a 224 dmg auto rifle, pulse rifle and hand canon.

You have folk with 300 dmg exotic weapons rolling about so thats a large difference, the only way for me to get a better weapon is to hope one drops somehow or to get to rank 3 rep in crucible which is taking ages because I can't just farm crucible rep or you see next to no drops at all and never have any materials to upgrade anything.
 
Some gaffers and I killed Atheon yesterday. It was my first time in the Raid, and I got Vision of Confluence and Chaterwhite as rewards.

How's Vision of Confluence compared to Atheon's Epilogue?

Heroic strikes count as 2. I did that part of the bounty last week's Nexus strike. With solar burn and my raid scout rifle was able to run the strike in 8 minutes each time. Seeing as the Strike rewards were improved somewhat it isn't a bad idea to do a couple here and there. It's one of those tasks you can slowly whittle away at. Getting tunnel vision and doing 25 strikes is going to be painful no matter how you slice it. Even doing half that all at once is going to break you lol

lol auto rifles are like the most useful weapons in crucible. they dominate hence the upcoming nerf they are gonna get.

and fusion rifles are the most op secondaries, though shotties are cool too

I wish you could designate a destination to travel to from the Tower without going to orbit first.

I wish you could designate the Tower as a destination without going to orbit first.

I wish that loading the Tower didn't take 3 times longer than loading anything else in this game for some reason.
 
So what's the deal with Magnetic Grenades? They seem to always stick to Titans, usually stick to Hunters, and rarely stick to Warlocks. I'm guessing because they really do only stick to metal? And sometimes they very briefly stick but then fall off? Is it possible to shake them off or something?

Not seen a legendary launcher yet. It's like the only thing I need to complete my weapon set.

If I start the heroic strike now will it kick me off when Destiny changes everything?

I haven't had any trouble with grenade initially sticking to the target, however, it appears only the first of two explosions stick to the target. After the first explosion it seems the second will explode exactly, or close to, where the first one exploded (at least that has been my experience with the Magnetic Grenade).
 
I'm kinda glad Iron Banner gear will cost crucible marks. I hit my cap on Wednesday and have been sotting on 199 since. It wasn't even intentional.

I hate that (because I don't even know what they're for) but what I hate more is getting an item for a different class. 3 times now I've gotten a purple engram decoded and gotten gear from it, and I'm 0 for 3 on getting one I can even use. That's bullshit. I should be getting excited when I see them drop and instead I just wonder if I should be dismantling them instead of putting them in storage for no good reason.

You need them to upgrade your helmet, chest plate etc. So they're awesome.

Ah ok. I find that acceptable then. If I ever get something I can use them on it would be fantastic. I have all the level 20 rustburner rare gear which as far as I know is as good as it gets for rare gear. It'd be nice to start finding something better...

What sucks is the fact that he'll be sitting on those 200 crucible marks while he levels up the iron banner rep, as the cap for marks in your inventory is 200. He'll have to spend those crucible marks elsewhere, or hold on to them for a while.

Suros Regime/The Last Word
The Comedian (longer slide, precision on ads)
Herzen Vengeance (3 rockets, clusters on hit)

Vanquisher III (ads increase range, kills +reload)
Invective
Herzen Vengeance
 
Iron Banner bounties with Xander, Queen's Emissary still in my tower, suppose I'd need to leave and come back (not going to, not interested, just here to grab the new bounties and work towards that nice rare sparrow so I can drop Xur's upgrade into it).
 
So I get the Pocket Infinity exotic bounty. I have no one around to run the weekly nightfall with me. I kill time all day doing the bounty incorrectly by not using a fusion rifle. I finally figure that out. I'm chugging along and actually see that I have a shot to solo this thing without cheesing it. I get the big bastard down to his last bit of health then load up my last heavy ammo synthesis. I deliver 4 arc cluster rockets to his face, he dead. I'm short of the Pocket Infinity by a tad over 10 kills but that's ok no big deal. I get to the rewards part of the end of the mission and The Last Word drops. I'm pleased. I go back into the nightfall get the kills for the P.I then head to the tower to collect my spoils. I now have these in my stable

I saw some exotic gear once but that tart Xur wanted 23 strange coins and I only have 8.

I feel like I'm getting a bum deal here. I love Destiny, but I'm not sure the feelings are reciprocated. But every night, I log back in with hope in my shrivelled little heart, maybe this time it will be different, maybe this time, maybe maybe. All my friends over comms are going "Hey look! Another purple engram, yesssss!" whilst I'm picking over yet another uncommon set of shitty boots, "Wooooh!" go my friends, drilling Cabalt dead in seconds "this legendary Auto is amazing!" whilst I pick massive health bars slowly away with my trusty pulse rifle.

Damn you Destiny. Show me some fucking love.

Totally felt I had the same issue with this game. The Queen's Wrath missions really helped me get somewhat decent gear to get to 27. Did the raid and got that gear. After about 45 hours of play time I finally got my first exotic bounty lol. So stick with it and try completing all your bounties and turn them in all at the same time.
