Angry Joe is a gamer. What the hell is a 'professional reviewer', and why should I be interested on his opinion? Joe's opinion often matches mine, and that is the reason I hear him. A lot of people apparently are in the same boat, and in my humble opinion, he pretty much nails it in his review.
Wasn't the $500 million figure pretty much confirmed by Activision? It was supposed to include marketing expenses and may carry over more than the first game, and I know Bungie said the development budget itself was much lower, but that still makes Destiny an extremely expensive game, in the Call of Duty vein. Joe perhaps didn't have the data, but his sentiment was spot on. You don't go to Joe for journalism, but for an opinion.
And by the way, there is nothing I despise more than professional opinions from people whose profession is none other than having opinions. I want to hear your opinion if you are a gamer with similar tastes as mine, or if you work professionally at the industry (because you'll have interesting insights around your field of work). Otherwise, I am not interested, so you can imagine my opinion about 'professional' media outlets, web sites, and writers. In the future, I hope to see more Angry Joes being popular and less IGNs and Kotakus.
