I'll be damned if that wasn't perhaps the best performance I've ever seen in a finals game

Holy Jeebus, only 4 turnovers by Detroit! O_o

Quoted for shock and awe!

Damn, 4 turnovers in 48 min. Crazy. And we thought the Pistons didn't show up in SA, jeez. Every game decided by 15+ points.

The Spurs can disappear with the best of 'em, can't they? Bunch of fuckin' Houdinis. :lol

Seriously, props to the Pistons. They played awesome tonight. Inspired ball. Here's hoping the Spurs get their act together for Game 5.

Damn, I think that was Darko's greatest game in a Pistons uniform:

2 pts on 100% FG shooting, 2 rebs in only like, 1:40 :P

Duncan didn't even sound concerned at the press conference. God, will somebody break into his house and kill his goldfish or something? He reminds me of Cleveland in the last episode of Family Guy. Guy needs to get a face of rage out there on the court, somehow. (Goldfish be damned)

He looked defeated on the bench. I was getting a little uncomfortable watching Popovitch rub his thigh.

Tim Legler just said about Duncan sitting on the bench during the blowout, "This guy is supposed to be the greatest power forward of all time? I cant see a Karl Malone or a Charles Barkley accepting this!!"

Uh...

Legler is a bitch. He came out and blasted the fans after the Detroit brawl, and then was told to STFU by management the next day. He swallowed his pride and changed his tune 180 degrees. He's a bitch, his opinion is shit, and I hope to God that ESPN fires him.

Did he say that? :lol There's no crew more retarded than ESPN's. What is he supposed to do? The Pistons totally outclassed them tonight. He tried, but was denied. I'm sure Malone and Barkely never were on the losing end of games like tonight's or how about a loser like Legler himself.

It looked worse on the ESPN highlight since the ESPN caption bar cut off a good portion of the bottom of the picture, so it looks like Pop's arm is doing something to Duncan's nether regions

I'd say something, but it seems ParkPace has hijacked my role as official Spurs Hater. I needed the break, anyway.

:lol :lol :lol

31 points.

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

I don't think Detroit will have another bad game. This the the finals, they are alive and awake. This is when they play at their best.

And don't diss Darko, his time will come :). Just gotta get rid of LB next year and let Flip work his magic.

Why the hell would you want to get rid of your coach after winning back-to-back titles? :lol

"I get it already!!"

I'm sick of his shit. He can't do it 3 times, so there is nothing to lose. There are major problems with the Pistons offense that have to be addressed. Bench needs a renovation as well.

He missed 1/5th of the season this year... Come on. He's an insane teacher and adjuster, but I think he's served his time. With that said, I don't think Joe will dump LB, so Flip will sit out next year, and come to the Pistons in 06.

Flip will be in Detroit, oh yes.

Rumors point towards flip going to cleveland, not Detroit.

Although, detroit sounds like a pretty damn good fit for him, now that you mention it.

*smacks McHale & Taylor for firing Flip*

idiots.

Fun Fact: Darko Millic has more points in the NBA Finals then LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Dwayne Wade combined.

If that doesn't tell you he should've been the clear cut #1 pick in the 2003 NBA draft, I don't know what does.

I got so drunk last night after that crap. I couldn't believe the same the team that murdered the Pistons less than 4 days ago was the same team playing last night.

I'm disgusted. Every fuckin shot was going in.

Um... The Cavs hired Mike Brown a couple weeks ago dude.

Every single rumor and snippet has Saunders holding out for Detroit. Flip has rejected every offer from every team.

Pathetic performance by San Antonio. Duncan looks horrible and Ginobli suddenly became the world's biggest pussy on the road. There hasn't been a single finals game worth watching. Neither team has done a damn thing on the road.

Spurs are in deep shit too. Duncan is getting raped on the pick and roll as bad as Shaq usually does and the Spur's have not been able to do anything on offense to counteract whatever Brown did between game 2 and 3.

And this is more Lakers talk, but cmon guys admit it. For all the non-Spurs and non-Piston fans, you guys miss them! We would all be a lot more entertained if the old Lakers team was still around. :D

Well that's a relief...Patrick Ewing just said on Kenny Smith's radio show that he thinks Popabitch is going to let Duncan coach the team in Game 5.

I like how everyone is talking about how badly the spurs played instead of how great the pistons played. Give credit where credit is due, people. :lol

I thought the Pistons made some great adjustments, but they also seemed to get away with murder on defense on Duncan. I am never the guy who bitches about the officiating, but I thought something was really sketchy with how the refs were calling the game. I mean the Pistons would all just run up to Duncan and start swatting like crazy and there seemed to be like zero fouls called when they did that (maybe I am just the only guy who saw it this way?). I still have to give the Pistons credit for winning, because even if the refs are going by the official Thunderdome rules of basketball, the Spurs could have adjusted and started playing more physicall too.

Being physical had a lot to do with the Spurs scoring in the 70s. But the Pistons' hustle and pressure had everything to do with the Pistons exploding to average 100 pts a game in Detroit. 10+ steals both games, 18 TOs for SA both games... Murder on fast break points. When Detroit keeps going for multiple steals and traps in a row and GETS them, SA is fucked, utterly.

The officiating goes to whatever team is hustling and has the most energy usually. First two games in SA the spurs were getting almost every call, and now that the pistons have all the energy they were getting some good calls. Sunday will determine the series, its a must win for Detroit if they can pull that win off... It will be big... and I mean BIG. All the doubters who have been harassing detroit the past year for not deserving it, will have to go to a big field and kill themselves to sacrifice and apalogize to the gods...

No, no. I'm very happy knowing the Lakers are far from the Finals/playoffs. :D

You guys are just saying that because of peer pressure. Deep down you know you miss seeing Mark Madsen get down at the end of the season.

That would be the timberwolves he'd be rooting for, then.

Duncan: "Dear God, please make it stop, because you know I don't have the mental toughness to make it stop myself...."

God: "Grow some balls, pussy!"

:lol :lol :lol

Duncan: "It's over, Pop. It's OVER!"

Pop: "There, there, Timmy. Where there is an old lady who needs help crossing the road, I know you'll be there. That's more important than a hard foul or calling your teammates out on national TV. Go back to your hotel room and get some rest."

With a July 1 NBA lockout date looming, the president of the NBA Players' Association said Friday he's hopeful that owners and players will have a framework for a new six-year collective bargaining agreement in place by the weekend.

With talks resuming at an undisclosed location in New York, Michael Curry told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher that he is optimistic that the sides might reach a tentative proposal that each side could present to its constituents next week for approval.

Curry did not provide details on what the framework would include, but he described the tenor of the talks as "good."

"Having been through this before, I was optimistic that we could get a deal done in time," said Curry, who was part of the negotiations that resulted in the last collective bargaining deal in 1999, which followed a lockout.

The collective bargaining agreement is set to expire June 30, after which, a lockout would begin.

Curry told Bucher that he knew "it would simply take getting to the 11th hour. We're now at the 11th hour."

I hope they get SOMETHING done this weekend :(
