For those that ordered through GMG the key is up in your profile. Didn't get an email from them yet but just checked. Sorry if this was posted already.

That's what I thought but Steam won't start it. Just says game isn't released yet. Weird.

That's... the preload. You won't be able to play the game until it officially releases (which is the midnight from Monday to Tuesday).

It has installed around 20 GB now and will download the other ~20/30 GB when it releases.

I don't know why people are panicking about the review scores for, Wolfenstein:TNO got a 79 on metacritic and DOOM got an 85 which by some peoples metrics on here are terrible or disappointing scores, yet they are two of my favourite games of this gen so far, relax people this game will be great and if it's not you can quote and chase me out of GAF with pitchforks.

Yeah but mine is sitting at 0GB/19GB.

Its not that they got scores below 9, it's because of the reasons. People are saying MD just ends with no warning. I don't see how you can excuse abrupt ending as something that's okay to have in games. Shit like that has to stop.

If that's the main thing people are worried about then i'm good, it's about the journey not the destination.

•Two new story missions: “System Rift” and “A Criminal Past”
•The “Assault” and “Tactical” packs, which include various weapons and items
• 4 Praxis Kits
• 5000 Credits
• 5 “Booster Packs” and 20 “Chipsets” for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Breach

Here you go. I'm hoping that by missions it really means chapters.
Danke.

So basically 2 missions which I assume will last 1-2 hours if going by how long the pre-order mission is..wow...what a RIP OFF. Disgusting. The rest of the stuff is completely pointless and FILLER.

If they are like Missing Link, It's more like 4 to 5 hours in a completely new environment for each. It was definitely one of the more solid DLC.

What are the odds those System Rift and A Criminal Past story packs are Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine levels of content...

Okay...

Ah, that's weird. Have you tried closing and reopening the Steam client? It should work.

Just restarted it and now it's saying preload complete, lol. Sucks that it's only downloading half, will take me another 10 hours to download the rest on my faulty internet.

Yeah, it's stupid. You'd think it makes more sense to download all of it and then update it with an executable or whatever to actually launch it.

I don't even know why I bothered with the preload to be honest. My internet is pretty fast, I downloaded the 19GB preload within 15 minutes so total package wouldn't take me more than an hour regardless.

Missing link was technically 1 story mission and 1 side mission but was like 4 hours long.

Wat? Citation needed? What the hell's the point of a preload if you still have to download the majority of the game after launch? Shouldn't the preload be the whole game (perhaps heavily compressed) barring a few gigs for a potential day one patch?

...Why are people jumping to the conclusion that these missions are just an hour long and don't add any new areas? Nowhere does it say their length, and as others have said Missing Link was a single mission that lasted for around 4-5 hours and took place in a new area. These two could be the same for all we know now.

Okay...

They're most likely weapon kits like in DX:HR. You most likely get to start out with a sniper and a shotgun that are slightly upgraded. I think that's what they were in HR.

I'm sorry, I'm not very technical but all I know is it only downloaded 19.9GB and since the required space was 45GB it doesn't seem to be the entire game. Could be that it's the entire game but heavily compressed, but I don't know for certain...

Can someone tell me if this is a glitch?

I crafted an item and I didnt check that my inventory was full. Now that item I crafted is nowhere to be seen, even when I freed some slots it doesnt appear :( its silly that the game allows you to craft something without any empty slots

Doesn't sound like the Assault and Tactical packs aren't even missions... lol. Just items.

My bad, I meant the System Rift and A Criminal Past quests.

Some random impressions, PS4 version.

I just finished the intro/tutorial section, just reached Prague. It took me a good 2.5 hours to get there, so the "13 hour total playtime" comments seem very strange to me. Granted, I ghosted through the section so I took my time. I imagine you can blast through it in 15 minutes if you just gun down everyone.

Game looks excellent, environments are extremely detailed. And the music is god-tier, as expected. Gameplay took some time getting used to. The new cover system reminds me of The Division, as in you're in cover, point to a location where you want Jensen to move, press X and he goes. However, in this game it's a simple button press whereas in Division you had to keep the buttons pressed. Haven't fiddled around with augments too much yet.

The Pague intro section runs terrible, there's no denying. Screentearing up the wazzoo, and massive framerate drops even though it's basically an on-rails section. Didn't encounter any of that during the prologue sequences, game ran super smooth. Also had a lengthy diaogue with a certain character and I could've swore it ran at like 10 frames per second at certain points. So weird.

Thing that impressed me the most so far is the presentation. The menus, the UI, everything is extremely slick. Game has incredible art direction overall, it just seeps style. Jensen's apartment is amazing.

Anyway, that's all I suppose. Now if you'll excuse me, I'd like to finish my morning coffee and watch my favourite Fox News Picus anchor give fair and honest newsreports.

Does watching the TV ever end? I sat there for about 10 minutes and it wouldnt end lol

What I meant is why is it okay that the new Deus Ex has shitty story? Because Soma and Talos have better ones? I'm not understanding that logic.

That's not really what I was getting it. All I meant was that the original Deus Ex had a lot of thought provoking science fiction philosophizing in it, and that even though that's not really what Eidos Montreal is doing with the version of Deus Ex, other games still offer similar depth in their themes.

Despite the somewhat lacking story and themes, I'm still excited for Mankind Divided and I quite enjoyed Human Revolution too.

Hmmm with reviews in here I decided to get the game the cheapest route I could find (cdkeys, 5% discount with facebook like) so I got it for 37 bucks. Seems like even if short, I still paid less than No Man's Sky so it's a win.

and this is why you don't buy season passes before the details are announced

square-enix / eidos season pass history?

look at ROTTR

*that's the only example I have honestly

though didn't that have a new area?

I wish each dlc would be a new hub w/ a main quest line and some side quests

Is it true the game is really under 12 hours if you do 90℅ and then the main story is probably only 5-6 hours. But reviewers are saying it's 30+ hours. Don't know who to believe.

Try downloading a game like Doom from Steam. You will find that the download size is approximately 50% of the required installation space. This also applies to all other games on Steam, to varying degrees though.
