Deus Ex: Mankind Divided |OT| We Asked For This

Like...how "bad" is breach mode, anyways? Prerelease it kinda gave me MGS VR missions sort of vibes. If it's just mindless DX levels to playthrough with pointless cash shop boosters that doesn't exactly bother me at all, really.

Hey how do you meet Koller again early, as per the cheevo list? I went back to his place like 6 times throughout the game after getting the upgrade part but he never showed up.

He will call you later in the game.

Or are you talking about the achievement, which requires you to steal the upgrade gear before Koller asks from you?

Yeah, but the cheevo list mentions that you can meet him earlier than that to get the upgrade earlier. Considering lock-in those augs away like that until the very end of the game is kind of a pain in the ass that made me work around them more than I did with them, on a second playthrough getting it as early as possible seems like the best plan of action. Especially for my planned guns blazing run.

No, the achievement asks you to bring him the device before he asks you to do, so you have to go to Otars Casino and steal the device, before you save Koller in the Book store.

Is anyone still having the subway crash on PS4 after the 1.03 patch? I've tried reinstalling the game and update but no luck.

I found a hidden silenced sniper rifle in a mission about halfway through the game and I have yet to find ammo for it. What am I missing?

The
Lancer
? It uses
AP Battle Rifle
ammo, which is rare but can be found in a few places or bought from some merchants.

So either I'm an idiot with the UI, or my game both offline and online is glitched on PS4.

For sone reason, within the last few hours of playing, I can't lift heavy objects anymore nor am I able to jump more than a foot high despite having the augs for both. I haven't bought any experimental augs and I'm on mission seven. I've tried shutting down the game and the PS4 to no avail.

Okay, wow. I just finished the game and these are my impressions:

The game felt uninspired. The locales were boring. The story itself felt like a detour and an illogical step after the first game, a la the Metroid Prime series, which is considered a side story. I had one boss battle. I don't know how many are in the game, but if I skipped them, I'm severely disappointed in what ended up being the final battle.

This really did not seem like a logical follow up to the first game. In fact, I'm perfectly okay with describing this game as Iron Man 2. Hell, maybe even Thor 2, because in a week, maybe even a day, I'll be forgetting this game even exists.

Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. Truly disappointed considering how much I adored the first game, a game that came as a nice surprise.

I got he pacifist achievement on my run. I was kinda worried when i realized there were a few dead exo suit officers that probably got shot by a turret. I guess Friendly Fire you dont initiate doesnt count

To those having trouble getting Foxiest even though you never got the alarm tutorial prompt,
the final boss
could be throwing your run off. Make sure you're getting the Smooth Operator bonus there.

Using the killswitch guarantees it, but taking him down normally, even seemingly without being seen doesn't work 100%. Some people seem to pull it off while others can't. Staying cloaked the whole time, disabling his security, stunning him from behind and doing a takedown didn't get me Smooth Operator, but using the killswitch did.

I tried
the boss again and got Smooth Operator, but still no Foxiest. For reference, I got the cloaked takedown upgrade, disabled his security, EMP grenaded him while quickly re-cloaking so that I wouldn't get caught, then did a cloaked takedown.

Maybe something happened somewhere else. I
tranqulized a bunch of people in the Dvali area of the red light district, but I was never seen there. Maybe that's when an alarm sounded? Does Eliza setting off a bomb as a distraction count as an alarm?

How much more difficult is "give me Deus Ex" compared to "give me a challenge?"

Not really that much more difficult, the only real challenge is one save and once you finish the death animation the save gets deleted. You can scum it by simply closing the game and relaunching it when you realize you fuck up, you have at least 5-10 secs of death animation. For some of the harder levels you can backup to PS+/USB at the start of the level and restore from there if you are truly worried.

Game wise the enemies react a little faster, you make more sound, and HUD elements are turned off but you can turn them back on in the UI for some reason. Just doing the main missions and skipping the story takes around 5-6 hours, maybe an extra hour or two to try and scrounge up extra praxis and biocells since you will be short on both.

Thanks. Looks like I got Pacifist but not Foxiest after the credits finished rolling (why are they so long and unskippable?), which is odd because I never set off an alarm and never got the alarm tutorial prompt. Sucks.

There are a couple of key story points which trigger an alarm no matter what, so you have to "choose right". They are
in GARM, you have to chose to contact Allison, not Jim. Your pilot is an illuminati spy and if you contact Jim the pilot will alert ARC and trigger an alarm in GARM. Also you must disable all 11 guards in London, and the 3 or 4 before you encounter Jim in the catering area, otherwise they will activate an alarm. Lastly as someone above said, in the final fight Victor can trigger an alarm, either use kill switch or use EMP mine and stealth behind him and takedown.

You're thinking of I Never Asked For This, not Give Me Deus Ex. I Never Asked For This is the same difficulty as Give Me Deus Ex, just permadeath.

Huh, I did all that. Unless you mean
the guards at the start of the London level before you get to the party area? I only knocked out a few of those and snuck past the rest. I knocked out everyone in the social area quietly, and the 3-4 guys before you find Miller. Then I snuck past everyone in the area between Miller and the VIP room.

Where did the game show that
Chikane is a spy? I never knew that.

I rented the game from redbox yesterday, played the crap out of it and I'm barely on mission 3. Did some side quests, anyway. Would it be whise to continue with this game THEN play human revolution on xbox one with bc? Or should I just stop with MD and play human revolution?

Also, in the bank there is a memo that says don't leave codes on the whiteboard.. And there is one. Room 2, 2994 if I remember correctly. But not sure what room 2 was.

Hi guys, yesterday I finished Deus Ex HR (it had been on my backlog for way too long) and I loved it, I am now in for Mankind Divided.

I saw that Adam Jensen statue from the collector's edition and I love it, the thing is this edition costs €123 where I live, but it's €83 if I get it from Amazon France. Anyone knows if the french edition inclues other languages???

It's the Pc version by the way

So glad I got over the inclusion of micro-transactions and gave this game a chance.

I'm pretty much playing it the same way as my first go at HR. Full stealth, using my speech Augment every time it's available, Typhoon as back-up if everything goes badly wrong (love that I can use it non-lethal this time). Trying my best to just accept how things play out, no reloads, if I mess up and get in a fight I just accept it. I'll play through it again and go for the perfect run.

There aren't many games out there that allow this kind of freedom for the player. It's so good.

Seeing as there's only one Steam version, I'm sure you can use English subs even if it's the French version.

I don't think it supports DX12.

I've just reached
Golem
City, and
i've just entered ARC territory
, so i'm still into the first hours of the game, but i've a question for anyone who has finished the game.

Do we finally knew what happened
to Faridah Malik? She was my favorite character in Human Revolution. Is she alive? dead? Back in the game? :(

Im sure this has been discussed to death but who the hell thought that adding micro-transactions into this game would somehow improve it?

I found out today that you can buy more in game currency, but I have no idea why anyone would do that. I'm only 10 hours in and on the second main mission, and i have over 30K in the bank after buying all the good shit from the shopkeepers

Also, maybe its just me but this game is too easy to cheese.

The fact that I stole a fridge, walked into the bank with it and then used is as a shield from all the guards and cameras while i robbed them blind feels very cheap. Hilarious, but cheap

I know people don't think the main characters are as interesting in this one
(no Malik, Pritchard, not a lot of Sarrif)
, and while I agree, I really enjoy the 'one-off' side characters from the sidequests an awful lot. Some of their stories were really great and very interesting.

I do hope they bring some of HR's people back for the next one. MD seemed like Jensen vs. the World as a lone wolf (which I think was kind of the point). Alex and Miller are supposed to be
uneasy allies as you don't know where they stand
, so they weren't able to make them as "companion-y" as the characters of the previous game. Oh well.

Anyway, really looking forward to the DLC. Which I literally never say for videogames ever.

I will finally play it after finish Mankind Divided. I've had the game for years on Steam but never got around to play it; i even downloaded some Mods, but my mouse died when i was starting to playing and dropped it.

Awesome - from a purely story perspective I think playing it for the first time after finishing Mankind Divided would be a cool experience. There are quite a few nods/hints to the original in it.

What ever happened to the VR locations that were going to be in this game? Around the time of E3, it was widely publicized that the game would feature 4 VR locations to explore (but not actually play, just a novelty), but I can't find any info on that since E3.

There's one in game, but whatever they played for the others was probably just moved into the Breach mode.
