As far as the date goes? I'm kind of not surprised. There was a month or two between the Japanese and western releases of REmake HD, too. Sucks.

So what happen?? I couldn't see the video.
September 30th release date according to the video layover, and
the end of the intro scene shows a hooded woman noticing and looking after Vergil as he walks away, presumably Nero's mom.

Not sure, but REmake HD was the same way. The game was completely and entirely in English. Perfectly ready according to people who pre-ordered it. It still released in the U.S. months later.

Oh, i thought that could be the ending, you know sunny and all, the video showing later parts of the game, but there is room left for more stuff at the end.

so this was something that was always in Capcom's mind was that Vergil was Nero's father
or was it something they just decided to go with, because of fan theories hyping it up
I can make room for more DMC4. The game isn't going to get ridiculous sales as it is, being from 2008 and hack and slash. I feel like most of the people who know about it and are going to get it will get it regardless. Wish it wasn't so far off, though!

uh i dont remember well the sources, the manga implied it, a Capcom employee said it little after the game was released, its also on an artbook, and Nero saying Vergils lines.
It was never confirmed in official documentation or published works, but interviews and some pieces of concept art both specifically addressed Vergil being Nero's father.
There are some people in denial, but this was always the intent.
Why would the release of the game in the West mean anything to Japan for TGS, though?

I'm so glad Xbox One(and PS4) are region free. Putting my order down for the Japanese copy now.
It was something that was hinted at as early as the DMC4 novel adaptation, which was written by Bingo Morihashi (who was also the story writer for the DMC4 game itself, but a number of details were changed around after he departed Capcom towards the end of the game's development and he went freelance).
This was later re-confirmed again as recently as the DMC 3-1-4-2 Visual Arts book, which is also an official source.

But get this, Dante refers to Vergil as his brother despite being his father and Nero is a cacti.

Edit: I forgot to mention earlier, you guys should google 'Nero Dante'. The amount of Dante and Nero yaoi is incredible. Like, I'm not fan of that shit bu the dedication is fascinating.
It will be, though this particular detail doesn't really change much. Most of us already considered this to be true.
I hope it's not a Euro only release date. I don't want to wait extra months whilst US and Japan have it. Hopefully it's just an error... somehow.
