Most importantly, there is no timer option for BP, like we feared.
Vergil's opening really resembles his opening from DMC3SE, only much more elaborate and badass.
A bit of an embarrassing preview, though. They claim DMC4PC came out "a couple of years ago", they corrected themselves wrongly by saying there were 6, not 5 playable characters (unless there is something else that's hidden or they were talking about Corrupt Vergil), and claimed the only release date info was Summer TBC when Capcom has already revealed the exact date.

That's the Japan release date. We still don't know when it'll come out in the West.

Looks like the commands for Vergil's moves are pretty Nero-like.
We can also probably throw hopes for a boss rush out the window. Chances of dice game changes might be slim too. Sounds like they didn't want to touch anything that isn't combat.

That intro looks very cool, but as much as i want to see Vergil killing some demons with style, i want the intro to have some story significance beyond that, its only two cutscenes after all.

Just enough so Vergil gives his blood to the Order to make a clone in case he dies and needs a body to come back
Or saves a cute girl from demon attack before credits roll, whatever is fine.
I'd gladly throw DMC4's levels under the bus a dozen more times if it makes DMC5's level design just an ounce better

Those people have no backbone, I never take what they say seriously. I just laughned when they cried about DmC.

Holds for more moves altered halfway through execution could open up some new stuff for sure.
There was a lot of ignorance and spite in those articles, and it extended to many of the reviews. The most informed review I saw was actually from Anime News Network.

Yeah. The "journalists" antagonized the fanbase just because they didn't accept the reboot after they pretty much told them to go fuck off. Sales bombed and once again the "journalists" antagonized the fans for not supporting it with their wallets. Those were some extremely dark days.

He throws his scabbard like Dante throws his Rebellion with the Sword Pierce move... it pierces one of the enemy. Vergil actually teleports through a bunch of enemies ahead of the trajectory of the scabbard, tosses his Yamato around like Round Trip and when it comes back to him he sheaths his Yamato into the scabbard that just arrived to him just in time!

All this hype and thinking a lot more about DMC4 reminded me how much I miss Free Ride. Really wish Dante had it, along with Nero and that Free Ride-ish maneuver he does with his sword in one of the cutscenes.

It's really what was missing from DmC's cutscenes. I think I recall a couple decently stylish cutscenes but that was it...
Now I am a LITTLE motivated...
Yeah, most of the music is bad. And the new songs, previewed on the main website, sound pretty bad too.
But there are a few decent ones in DMC4 like Baroque & Beats and Swipe of Sword. I think that if they shifted focus with the music direction, and centered it more on the orchestral mix stuff, it'd work.
I really hope that the music on the main website isn't a sign of the direction they're thinking of heading.

I like Belial's (isn't that what he's supposed to be called) Bael's and Credo's themes but yeah the music is pretty meh. I honestly kinda dread going back to hearing THE TIME HAS COME AND SO HAVE I and FEEFO FEEFO FO FYE FEW over and over again. The new characters better get their own themes and they better not be that crap on the website. That was simply awful, especially Lady and Trish's.
