That a lot of people want to play by themselves, while a lot of the arguments was that it wasn't really a single player game before launch. It's right there in the image, and the split is almost 50-50. (54 to 46, wow, what a majority).

.... most people solo in WoW.

Sure, that doesn't mean it's a Single player game, the same way a majority playing groups in Diablo 3 wouldn't mean it isn't =)

Man the people in the b.net forums are really harsh on blizzard. Sure D3 wasn't as amazing as people expected, but I appreciate the fact that Blizzard has constantly been updating and improving it, not to mention I feel like they put a lot of thought into the process of making changes and improvements to D3

That's a prety significant difference. And it's an online ARPG. It's been a year already, deal with it.

Or at least be consistent and bitch that PoE is online only too (I haven't checked to see if you did or not)

4%? Hardly significant. I've "dealt with it": I bought the game, enjoyed it, still play it occasionally, might buy the expansions too. I just found it funny after all this time and people's reassurances that almost no one wanted to play by themselves. I find it funnier even now that you are being so defensive about this. I don't think I'm even criticizing the game, just what people said about it.

PoE is and will always be free to play, and that is a pretty significant difference. But be sure to go through my post history, I might've said something about it a year ago too.

Knowingly not fixing a bug that they themselves admitted to be a bug isn't fixing the game, it's keeping it broken.

CM without Chant's set is rather difficult to do, at least on a budget.

Chant's wand with IAS and any Chant's source will help you significantly with the build, even if you lose sheet DPS in doing so.

CM is about meeting spec before having high sheet DPS.

They really haven't done much with the game. We had very small core updates and the rest was just "quality of life" stuff. Blizzard are awful at patching anything besides World of Warcraft. It takes way too long to have the smallest things. I'm glad that they are still trying, but they are the only one to blame for the game being in such a poor shape since the beginning. It's been almost an entire year and the biggest update was the Paragon stuff. And that wasn't even really "knew", it's an extra levelling layer. No new stuff, just some extra numerical stats. They applied a bad aid fix on the legendaries, which are broken again with 90% of the lot being totally useless.

In fact, I'd go as far to say that they have the worst update rate I've seen in a long time. 1.08 should have been here weeks ago.

I'm looking at trying to get my CM Wiz able to do higher MP runs. I can do MP3 now with no problems, but would like to get up to 10 if possible (for not a zillion gold).

What can I do to make him better on a budget of about 5 million?

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Shagrath-1850/hero/15821800

Get chant set. You need to hit at least 2.31 aps for the first breakpoint. It doesn't look like you're there yet by glancing at your equipment.

Get gloves with crit% and asi, allres, and a little vit.

For chant wand you want to filter out by 2mil and then search for critd of 40%. Look for the highest dps wand you can buy that has 0.25 attacks per second. You can get away with .24 too but you're so low right now that having a h igher base will help you gear the rest of your asi cheaper.

Something like this:

oQaG1H0.png

(1.5m)

Will help a lot. Pair it with a chantodo's force.

For that I would search for avg dmg 245 and crit% 9.5 (10 is probably too expensive and you need as much crit% as you can get). Look for one that rolls 9% asi that's good since you'll be able to skimp on other pieces to hit the first breakpoint.

Look for one with a random STR roll or a STR/DEX roll since it'll boost your armor and dodge. Vit is probably too expensive.

1gFPHSP.png

(1.5m but probably overpriced. Good str roll though; should help you hit 4k armor)

So, any monks here able to successfully solo MP10 ubers?

Maghda/SK and Ghom/Rakanoth are a joke, but ZK/SB wreck me every time. Best I've managed was getting ZK down to around 25%

Using standard cookie cutter (5.5% LS), but with NDE passive & stun bells.
160k dps, 650k ehp.

Thinking about grabbing earth ally as another distraction for SB (currently have enchantress with maximus)

Other option I might try is BoH with the spirit regen rune along with WotHF spirited salvo to generate tons of spirit so I can keep dropping stun bells.
I have seen skorn tr build with stun bell soloed mp10 übers. Looks pretty easy, just hit and run

Thanks for the replies, guys. I'll look into that Chantado's stuff next time I get on there.

I'm pretty dumb with all the abbreviations and whatnot. I had to look up CM a couple weeks ago when I started this build.

CM is fun stuff, let me know if you can't afford a decent starter Chant's and I can give you some money if need be.

I wonder how this poll will look like when there's clear benefit to farming in groups after next patch.

At last, identify all and "tooltips in the Auction House will now show an item comparison for a player's currently selected character".

These 2 "features" should have been there from launch. Better late than never I guess. Curious about the density increase, think I will try the PTR. All in all, a good looking patch.

Edit:
Just saw the videos put up by Svafnir. Looks good :)

Tested PTR act1 for about an hour. Reeeaaally like the monster density increase. You can get 50+ monster kill combo often without trying too hard. It´s like they looked at how the monster density was and than doubled it ;)
Anyway, don´t think I will be playing act 3 for a while.

Identify all... sooo good. Felt weird that I could just identify all and than scrap/sell within a minute or so and than back to killing monsters.

Dissapointed with crafting. Tried crafting 20 shoulders, but it only crafted one at a time. What´s the point? Why not 20 at once?

Couldn´t test AH as it was not working properly.

Bu...bu...but it isn't a Single Player game guise, it's an always online MMO.

There's a lot of enjoyment to be had going solo, but I think this poll is more a reflection of the way the game is currently balanced. Although they're taking some steps to mitigate the issue, at the moment it's generally more efficient and rewarding for players to solo all content aside from Key Runs / Ubers.

Having BIS items in a couple of slots be craftable and BOA takes away another component of fun from cooperative play too, at least IMO. I liked feeling like I could help out other players by hooking them up with some nice drops or a bit of gold here and there towards their AH purchase, but that was diminished severely for me in 1.07.

I think they need to pull the camera back another 20-40% (or at least give the option to do so), get rid of the movement speed cap, bump up the base movement speed by 10%, increase the range that players can get rewarded for a kill from their party member by another 40-60 yards, tone down the graphical effects of some skills, and give the option to customize the size/shape/color/behavior of the cursor. In a group it can frequently be difficult to tell what the hell is going on and the whole thing sometimes feels a bit cramped.

Unfortunately the game wasn't designed around that and those kind of changes might make the already limited explorable areas feel even smaller.

God damn it. Get my first legendary in ages, when I see it on the ground I see its item level is 63, thinking it's gonna be an awesome item, I identify it and it's this...

A lot of welcome improvements. The monster density should help with variation for farming.
I just hope the itemisation improvements are following in 1.0.9 and not too far behind, the crap loot drops are just grating.

Wow, exploding palm in groups stacks after all...

http://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/1bwufu/secret_of_exploding_palm_in_group_mp10/

Wonder if that changed with the other recent changes... People tested it before for sure.

From the other thread here, it makes sense to use near death experience to get around the inevitable deaths from reflect damage.

RAD!

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/8569328225

On PTR, Nephalem Valor now multiplies your experience bonus instead of adding to it. Confirmed by this blue post as intentional.

Also, previously confirmed by Wyatt - your exp bonus items are added in before the multiplication happens.

Now to see how this works with the group experience...

SUPER RAD!

Truth.

For people who haven't seen: http://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/1bzv51/fellow_wizards_108_ptr_teleport_mechanics/

Some of those teleports through walls. Wow. That will speed things up a lot!

Quite awesome. Quite, quite awesome. I wasn't excited about this until seeing it in action. What's next? The ability to summon more than one hydra? Blizzard having a stacking effect? Lightning shield that hits all enemies at once, even off screen?!?!(PALADIIIIINNNNN!)

Did a run of most of Act 4 in PTR, didn't really notice any mob density changes, which is kind of a bummer since that act needs it the most.

Also I didn't see this mentioned (or I missed it), but in the options (in PTR) you can now also apparently turn off the notification for "are you sure you want to salvage this item" for rare/yellow items which is fantastic, but will also probably fuck someone at point, possibly me :p

Did they tune down monster damage/life recently? Doing solo mp5 recently and I'm just ripping through them on my Monk where it was a little rougher the last time I played, months ago.

This may sound like a really nooby question, but what does mp3 etc mean? I've heard people say it but honestly have no idea what they mean.

Monster Power. It's the difficulty modifier after you get to Inferno. In exchange for increasing monster strength beyond the base level, it gives you Magic Find/Gold Find bonuses.

Thanks.

Thanks for the info Rati, I was wondering why my Monk felt like it was ridiculously buffed again, lol.

A4 density never was really that bad. The problem is there are not enough elites and the act is way too short. They should double, triple, quadruple the density ther and double the elites or something.
