Another optimization was the usage of FP16 GCN instructions in our checkerboard resolve shader. PS4Pro has support for FP16, and we used it throughout the checkerboard resolve shader. The largest benefit was the ability to greatly lower our LDS memory usage. This resulted in a 30% performance improvement in the resolve shader.
In the grand scheme of things...this isn't much at all...and would apply to Scorpio.
