Dont act like you have xbox friends. What ? But my Xbox friends told me there would be a huge difference. Are we sure it uses RDNA 2 ?

Loads of pop in actually.
Is it because this is showing 120hz mode? It seems a loss of details over the Series X trailer(the one with tearing).![]()
The impulse triggers on the X One was already a huge step in immersion for racing games.Playing the Amplified version on One X and the new patch that came today seems to have much improved performance. Not noticing any screen tearing anymore on the One X version at least.
I'm curious how it will feel on the DualSense. Might make multiplats a tough choice where to play if it's really cool.
I'm happy this one doesn't have any tearing. I don't know what's with Xbox games and tearing. Does MS hate Vsync?
I just downloaded this very video in 4K as a test. Strange it doesn't work for you.Yeah, that's the one I was using, and downloaded further files in the system to merge both audio and video. It got blocked by youtube maybe few days back, sadly. I was trying to download the new spiderman gameplay with that cartoony suit to extract some screenshots.

I think it's something on your end, because the software itself is not blocked by YouTube.
Anyhow, here's the downloaded video shared through WeTransfer if you need it: https://we.tl/t-tOBO6JIkFW
Any screen tearing?
I don't know how bad it was on XSX but there are crowds of people and stones appearing out of the ether in that video aswell as fairly obvious texture lod pop in.Not really, no where near as bad as the last XSX version.

I hope the DualSense holds up to what it promises. It can be an even bigger jump in feedback than impulse triggers.

The ground looks the same as the XoX version I am playing now. Low res but uses mesh displacement mapping.
But it was in the Xbox videos. They gave them the material no? And this isn't just Dirt. There are plenty of Xbox games I played with tearing and the same games on PS don't have it. I don't get why they don't turn on Vsync. This is a promotional video by Codemasters, did you really expect they'd show footage with tearing in it?

Not terribly distracting but it's still very much there.

6gb patch today for the Xbox versions, was playing on X1X yesterday and 60hz mode had loads of screen tearing, after the patch install it's all gone and asset streaming is greatly improved.
It actually looks pretty nice and it's not the next gen version.
The DualSense alone makes for a lot multiplatform games the PS5 the best version for me!
It's not "only" about graphics anymore, but immersion.
That's good to hear. I hate screen tearing. Gives me headaches.6gb patch today for the Xbox versions, was playing on X1X yesterday and 60hz mode had loads of screen tearing, after the patch install it's all gone and asset streaming is greatly improved.

Imagine feeling ABS working through the trigger. That would be crazy in Gran Turismo. I am not sure if Dirt 5 comes with abs.I actually agree somewhat. More so for this game I could see adaptive triggers working very well letting you feel the groves in the track.
It's one of the only 3rd party games to really use the Xbox's rumble triggers as well which also gives great feedback but adaptive triggers would just take it to the next level.
Video only shows 720p max setting for me on YouTube, so there's no point in watching it.
Far from it. This game is no looker.Am I the only person who thinks the game looks pretty ho-hum

True, it's not ideal. A proper comparison and head to head is needed rather than comparing random videos from random stages from random points in development.Checked them all, you are right. But this is the 120Hz mode, would need more videos of both versions 4K@60fps and 120Hz mode for comparison.

Funny how people were saying that only 1st party games would be taking advantage of the PS5-exclusive features (haptics, adaptive triggers, 3D audio) and 3rd parties wouldn't bother making the effort for just one version. So far it seems like almost all of them actually are, and that they're pretty excited about it. Very promising!
Yes. Just book mark and make sure to come back so we can discuss.![]()
One other thing for the first time in a long time I really noticed the feedback in the Xbox controller on a racing game, maybe because of PS5 controller devs are putting a bit more time into this feature.
You mean the elite controller? Does the standard one has it?
Idk, it seems lacking effects and the interiors modelling n texturing seems flatter?Care to point out "a loss of details"?

Something wrong with your device, it has 4K mode. But the video itself shows pixilation at some point, maybe they've used the internal video recording of the PS5 which is most likely compressed (up to 4K@60fps with HDR, but doubt HDR in this footage as it would make it look worse when shown in SDR) instead of using external device for higher quality footage.
