None for controller, only keyboard bindings are available.
As far as I know (someone can correct me if wrong), but you don't need to cancel your reservation. It will download automatically, but you can install it at your leisure whenever you choose.Screw it, I'm cancelling my reservation and not just because of DS4 but I'm just getting a bad gut feeling about upgrading on Day 1, I'll probably wait a couple of weeks/months until the coast is clear.
I really doubt MS give a shit, this is down to the developers of DS4.
In DS4Windows you can set up profiles per game, I imagine setting up DirectInput only for the games that support it should work, correct? Basically, the opposite of hide the DS4 option, it's basically hide the XInput option.

Are there any benefits to using DS4 on PC over Xbox One Controller? Or is it just purely down to preference.
Damn. So basically, Dark Souls supports DirectInput but does a terrible job of it and it can't be turned off, which could be dealt with with DS4Windows (or other such utilities) but in Win10 can't be.
Ironic that the game would actually be better if they hadn't tried to support Dinput at all.

Doesn't this fuck over tons of old peripherals that used dinput? Like some hori arcade sticks, older logitec gamepads, wheels and flight sticks?

Yea me too. Not updating day 1. Dont know why theyd do something so dumb, people will find a way to block it 3 days topsThe news I got from the thread is the auto update thing, holy shit. I'll wait until people disable that for good before upgrading.
For a pure gaming machine, what advantages are there to upgrading? Benchmarks seem all over the place, pCars being the only one I saw that actually improved. Doesn't seem worth it.
End of the month/start of next month.Oh that's a shame.
So when does Windows 10 come out? I never got the upgrade message (I do own a legit copy of Windows 7)
Fuck it I'm just buying an Xbox One controller. I'll sell it after I get the Steam controller in October.
Wasting money!
Does SCP DS3/DS4 work on Windows 10?
It's basically DS4 Windows (without a lot of customization and touchpad controls) but it allows DS3 too.
Also did MS fix Xinput so it allows more than 4 pads? (seriously, that's ridiculous)
They hopefully allow like Directinput unlimited gamepad support.
Just because an Xbone/360 can't handle more than 4 doesn't mean you have to cripple it on pc too.
The Xbox One supports up to 8 controllers. So maybe there's a newer XInput Version with support for more controllers that's not yet available on the PC?
I probably should've specified, in the short term. Say, upgrading in the next couple of months. I'm going to have to buy an Xbone controller and more than likely go through some troubleshooting with some of my games. All future and currently supported PC games will continue to take up improvements made available from Win10/DX12. It seems all but guaranteed that the expected uptake through free upgrades to the new OS over the next year will ensure that most of the development community goes with them nearly as quickly rather than the slow dragging of feet we all saw from previous jumps. I don't see a downside outside of possibly having to buy a new controller or jump through a hoop or two to make it work with your existing one.
You can plug and play the Xbone controller via the micro usb cable that comes with your DS4. I recommend trying out the Xbone controller, I prefer it over the DS4.
Windows 10 has worked great for me so far.
Wouldn't the solution just be to plug in the controller and not use DS4 Windows?

Considering the X1 controller is times better than the DS4, it's ok for me.

I like a Controller that doesn't have a garbage Dpad as most games I play with a controller on PC require one.
So, you're saying you like the xbone controller?
well that's a dealbreaker for me then, no ds4 no windows 10 for me.
Are you trying to be ironic? So much hate man. What's up with people who own Xbox controllers?
For most people that controller is not the best in the world. Frigging deal with it.
I for one find any Xbox controller to be a large hideous lumbering beast, a controller i would use if I had no other possible option.
So, you're saying you like the xbone controller?
Except the part where it offers less functionality than what you'd want when you're using it on a PC.
It's possible that MS really wants you to use XBone controller instead of Sony's offering.
Not really true. I use my 360 controller on PC for navigation with a small app similar to DS4. RB+LB+B and it puts me into navigation mode and I can use the analog stick as a mouse. Very handy and honestly I prefer it to my DS4 touchpad. That is my opinion though, but factually, it offers just as much functionality as a DS4 controller. Can even set volume and scroll with it.
Wouldn't that be a case of taking unfair advantage of their monopoly in the market? Just like it was with IE and the competing browsers.
I wasn't talking about preferences though, 8.1 is factually better than 7. There are people who think it isn't because they only look at metro and have no clue about the OS at all and spread misinformation.
Which is similar to the post I quoted.
i played mk x on windows 10 with a ps4 controller so..... it does work?

Maybe actually read the thread to understand what the issue is. No one is saying DS4 flat out doesn't work on Windows 10.
Im sorry, but the thread title says to me that i should not use windows 10 with a DS4, so i kinda figured it meant it shouldn't work. No need to get offensive.
