Back in February Samsung announced that they were working with Xbox on XCloud, while Samsung didn't exactly say what the partnership is about, people have been saying that this would mean Samsung devices will come with XCloud preinstalled and come with 1-12 months worths of Game Pass so users can play their Game Pass games on their smartphone.
While people have been brushing this aside, Samsung is the biggest OEM and sells Hundreds of Millions of Smartphones and 10s of Millions of Galaxy S and Notes smartphones.
I think this would concern Sony as they are trying to get PSNow off the ground and relying on Console owners to move to Cloud gaming will cannibalise their ecosystem and not grow the ecosystem. Microsoft is growing the ecosystem by not focus on consoles and instead focus on other form factors.
So the question is. Will Sony respond to this type of move or will they go alone, despite not being a major presence in the Web services and device market.
