Dead or Alive 4 for the Xbox 360 is coming out later than expected...again. Online retailers are listing the game as releasing on December 28, 2005, almost a week after it was last projected to hit stores.

All is not lost for fans of the franchise's battling buxom beauties. Tecmo's Web site still shows the game as having a "Holiday 2005" release date, giving the company 12 more days to make good on its word.

DOA4 was originally scheduled to be both a North American and Japanese Xbox 360 launch title, but has since been in a holding pattern for nearly a month. Tecmo previously cited online issues as reason for the delay in Japan.

Perhaps to appease its rabid fan base, the company is offering those who preorder the game from its Web site a free Dead or Alive 4 2006 calendar, which will hopefully still be useful by the time the game does come out.

The 28th has been expected for awhile. That's the same day as the Japanese release, so they may be aiming for a simultaneous release.

no, Temco's Q/A is most likely 100x better than Activisions. Besides, I heard a patch is due out next for CoD2 for the X360 anyways.

Gametop changed the release date to 12/28 a little while ago; it's just EBgames that kept the date as 12/22. I guess Tecmo really does want a simultaneous release after all.

Well, no it wasn't. It was known before now though, but its merely a placeholder date. A date hasn't been announced by Tecmo, which is why we're seeing constant one week slips.

Well... since stand by hit the fan... if DOA 4 is affected... it would deter me from playing doa 4 on live.

with doa: u... because of the lack of originality (playing against nothing but ayane / hayabusa players bored me to tears), stat whoring, and point droppers... i just stayed in practice mode just practicing against the computer.... till i stopped playing completely.

i really dont want that happening with doa 4.
