So apparently, according to the Wiki, River is living Memento? Every time we see her, it's actually the "her" before the last time? So when she's talking about the last time she ever sees the Doctor and how it will kill her, she's talking about her first appearance on the show, not the last time we see her character?

Pretty much. We know what lays ahead for her while she knows what lays ahead for us and The Doctor.

Thanks.

On another note, when she first showed up a couple times I was thinking "God, she's got it bad for the doctor...can't wait to see her in her first appearance when she's young and hot".

But then, that would be the last he ever sees her.

And I don't want young and hot. Alex Kingston grew on me...

I don't know if it's a they are moving in exactly perfect reverse order though.

She doesn't recognize Rory in the Pandorica episodes (unless I'm misremembering) while she does in The Impossible Astronaut. So Pandorica probably comes before Impossible Astronaut.

It also seems that the 1100 year old Doctor shared a few adventures with her during his "running" phase. And right before her death she'll meet a future version of the Doctor that gives her a sonic.

So there is some mixing up of the order instead of them just moving in exact opposite chronological order of each other.

The thought is weird nowadays seeing as she cut her hair short, but would Emma Watson make a good young River Song, or am I crazy?

Not that it matters, she'd charge too much for Doctor Who's budget. :lol

Yeah, those are good points actually.

Especially about River not recognizing Rory in Pandorica Opens/TBB.

Someone asked Steven Moffat why River doesn't recognise Rory in The Big Bang and he replied:
@squigglywhosan She DOES know him, she pretends not to. Spoilers.

In silence in the library when she gives her speech to the Doctor before she dies she says something along the lines of 'you watch us run'

I'd really like to see a season with the Doctor on the run from the Master or something, being hunted through time and space

What else is she pretending not to know?

Is there.. can there be a real reason why she'd pretend to not know him? and will it really be brought up/examined in a pronounced way?

I hope Moffat is really on top of this, and won't cook and tack some random explanation to cover up what he may have overlooked.

Remembering the silents. Dun Dun Duuuuuunnn

Well she definitely knows about them from Pandorica/Big Bang and back to Silence in the Library. Does she know about them in Impossible Planet? I don't get the impression she does.

Unless Moffat is a damn genius I'm pretty sure he's just covering a plot hole with that Twitter post.

WHAT IF RIVER ACTUALLY ISN'T MEETING THE DOCTOR OUT OF ORDER AND SHE'S BEEN PRETENDING THE WHOLE TIME?!?!??!?!

That was more or less sarcasm.

Honestly though , what if she is pretending to not know about
the older Doctor dying?
What if she knows about it and knows she can't change it for whatever reason?

This was sort of my thought as well. How he says it implys it being tongue in cheek sort of answer.

What if she is in the suit?

Hey, they're just literal! They were told to "Spread joy all around", and you've gotta admit, that's exactly what they did.

I just read some potential spoilers, if they werent lying, that is.

I AM MORE EXCITED NOW THAN BEFORE. THIS IS NOT HOW I WAS TOLD GETTING SPOILED WORKS.

Being so heavy in the speculation probably had a part in that i suppose.

Amazon finally released the episode! Amazing, as always.

"This is The Legs. This is the Nose."

Perfect. I like the new aliens so far, too. Do they have a name yet? What's going on!? On another note, I got a new person into Who. She had watched part of the first episode of the new series, then turned it off. I convinced her to watch the whole thing. She's on season 2 already.

So I have no clue what is happening, but I saw an Ad for The Today Show this morning, and they're doing something next week that at one point has one of the hosts hiding from a Cyberman...

There an unedited version of that picture? (no circle)

I'd be worried if I were the prince, considering how many royalty members has the Doctor boned.

He probably didn't bone her. He stole her last night for a few months worth of adventures in the TARDIS, then dropped her off the morning of her wedding.

I bet that's what Elizabeth I said. We all know how that went.

I have it on good authority that after Kate tried to bone him, he ended up bringing Prince Chav into the Tardis to share their adventures...and die...a lot.

It's not really a plot hole (so far). It's like Moffat has decided that River & the Doctor are meeting in a strictly reverse order and has had to retcon a few issues.

I am disappoint.

I bet a royal edict could make the Three Doctors happen. LET'S DO IT YOUR MAJESTY

Did people even watch The Three Doctors/The Five Doctors/The Two Doctors? Anything not involving Doctors was shite.

So I watched all the episodes on Netflix and just watched the first special, Planet of the Dead.

Are all the specials God awful or should I watch them before jumping into the next season...and the new doctor?

I was re-watching that charity short where 10 meets the 5th.

It's so funny in retrospect since Tennant is marrying Davidson's daughter. He's basically complimenting his father-in-law, who in turn is disappointed in everything he's doing.

Like real life son-in-laws have to deal with...*sigh*

Some of them are important. Which ones, I can't exactly tell you - you'd need more than a casual fan to tell you. I know that the first Tennant Christmas special is right after he's regenerated so I would say that's important.

Planet of the Dead is awful, Waters of Mars is good, End of Time is groin-achingly bad but has a lot of continuity in it.

I still think that End of Time was entire conceived upon someone at a writing session making "The Master Race" joke, and them just trying to build an episode around that.

Great, thanks. They aren't too long so I can grit through them I guess.

I still have to wonder (and thought about it the other day) HOW could these have been so awful? I mean, who okayed these? Waters of Mars was fine. But the others? I mean... REALLY? I think the worst was the Titanic special, by far.

I DID however like how Season 3 ended with the Titanic bustin' through the TARDIS. Tennant's expression and reaction were perfect (to me).

That Doctor Who magazine comes with cheap tchotchkes.

And now I wish it came out in America. :(

I think I've seen it at Barnes and Noble on the magazine rack. Be warned - it's not cheap.

I'm pretty sure there will be Americans watching the episode Saturday afternoon before it airs on BBCA Saturday night.

:/ My old local bookstore gets in foreign mags all the time and likely would have it as well: and they don't mark them up nearly as high as B&N does. I need to move back home.
