Hopefully that loon Jill Stein is panicking. But she obviously thought Clinton was going to win too so she kept on showing shade at the wrong person...

People called Romanes they go the house?
Draining the swamp.....and replacing it with nuclear waste.

What the fuck is even going on.

Like, how is this....

As Mr. Pruitt has sought to use legal tools to fight environmental regulations on the oil and gas companies that are a major part of his state’s economy, he has also worked with those companies. For example, the 2014 investigation by The Times found that energy lobbyists drafted letters for Mr. Pruitt to send, on state stationery, to the E.P.A., the Interior Department, the Office of Management and Budget and even President Obama, outlining the economic hardship of the environmental rules.

Industries that Mr. Pruitt regulates have also joined him as plaintiffs in court challenges, a departure from the usual role of the state attorney general, who traditionally sues companies to force compliance with state law.

okay?

If Scott Pruitt is a Young Earth Creationist, he probably doesn't believe fossils are real, either.

I fully expect Trump to get elected for a second term, because that's how fucked up this country is.

The pendulum is merciless; we elect someone who is as good as one reasonably expected, and now the swing means it follows that the worst possible outcome is next.

Fuck, I give up. No shits left to give.

I hope every other nation in the world shames the shit out of us for this and all the fuckshits that voted for Trump have their well water poisoned by industry.

I'll donate to the groups that have some capability of pushing back, but I've reached the point where I wish I had a Death Note.

Lets see how America/Trump deals with sanctions put on us. I'd hate for that to happen, since I'm an American, but there has to be consequences to harming the planet.

We are so broken. I hope China and others sanction the shit out of us. It will suck for everyone but be a much more short term problem than the alternative.

When he said "Drain the Swamp" I didn't realize he wanted to do so with intense radiation due to the lack of an atmosphere.

People in the southern half of my state (WV) will be thrilled, until they realize that it still won't bring coal jobs back. Then they'll just find a way to blame Democrats.

Even today as we speak that are still blaming Hillary, even though she went into hiding and its over. I don't get it.

Its time to own this shit now. Quit blaming the irrelevant.

As a fellow America, as much as it'll suck, rest of the world should just go ahead and slap every sanction possible on the US. Like, don't even hold back, go full on "very anal highway patrol officer giving us a ticket for going one over the speed limit" on our sorry asses.

So now America will fully fuck over the complete world. Sorry to say it decent Americans, but America will soon be a full on piece of Shit country.

Honestly, America always was a shit-tier country, it just occasionally has a very few diamond moments every once in a blue moon.

The sad thing is could anyone stop this country? Could the world intervene against the most powerful military the world has ever known? Not that I think that's honestly where we are, just food for thought.

Actually, one of the few positive things about climate change is it will likely improve the ozone holes in our atmosphere, because they're largely due to cold weather.

I know what you mean though : (

Sorry US gaffers but someone needs to invade you and instill a decent leader for your batshit crazy country.

Nah, it's okay. Fair cop, we've got that coming.

I'm starting to feel like it's less and less of a personal desire and more and more of a moral imperative for the non-stupid states to start serious secession talks, honestly.

Well for the optimistic long view - in the long term the planet will survive, it'll just survive without a human species.

Maybe some new species will evolve from Octopi that learns from the mistakes of the hairless apes.

If you want a little bit of optimism, Solar and Wind has gotten pretty cheap and will keep booming. Coal is simply not very economical anymore. MPG standards have improved a lot and electric cars are taking off with or without government intervention. The big blue states and cities that drive our economy are taking big steps to reduce their impact even without the Feds. On all that, even if Trump and his stooges are giddy at the idea of ditching the Paris accords (which, while not sufficient in themselves, is something positive at least), Trump's ego might block him from willingly becoming a global pariah for something I doubt he really cares all that much about.

So while I'll be murdering my liver over these next few years, I'll still have a little sliver of hope.

seems like cyber warfare was pretty effective during the election. Maybe getting the hidden camera footage from the derrick where they all take turns on an oil soaked dolphin would be enough.

The problem with this outlook is that it assumes that things will continue as-is. Legislation will probably be pushed through that undoes a lot of this. Elimination of subsidies on green energy and possibly even extra taxes on it, more subsidies/tax breaks on fossil fuels, shit laws like the Florida solar one that would have allowed price discrimination against solar users, etc. It's not at all out of the question that Republicans will try to go "big government" on this to force their will just like with LGBT and abortion, and they will have all three branches on the federal level to do so.

Good, each cartoon villainish appointment will make it more clear to so called progressives that their asses need to vote even when a messiah isnt on the ticket.

I hope these picks keep getting worse and worse.

"But my vote doesn't matter and beside both sides are the same..."
-Millions of non-voters

Their vote didn't matter unless they live in one of those five or six states that actually decide the election each cycle. The fact that I went out and voted in Cali doesn't mean anything.

But for those people in those few states who have the only voice for who becomes president, what you said applies.

You couldn't parody this. In a sane society this disgusting specimen wouldn't get anywhere near a position of responsibility. This is the kind of people a responsible system should protect the populace against.

Fuck the Trump administration

Tell you the truth, most of the people of the world probably don't know about all this. They still think the worst thing about a trump Presidency is Trump himself. They don't know anything about the people he puts in charge of things.

Guy from the state with all the earthquakes caused by the energy industry that the state has been going to great lengths in order to legally protect? Sounds totally qualified. I know the common term for what the fossil fuel industry is "destroy the planet," but in the case of earthquakes it's quite literal.

In the past 12 months, there have been 750 earthquakes of 3.0 or higher in Oklahoma. The same span a decade ago had 3.

Ummmmm plenty of people in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan said that stupid shit. People here were laughing at Trump when he went to Wisconsin the day before the election saying it was the move of an idiotic desperate loser.

I'm still hoping Bernie saves us next time. Yes he's old but he's has the best chance to win 2020 (given he runs) and he' can't be denied by the dems next time

Bernie will be almost 80 years old in 2020, it would be unrealistic to expect him to run a campaign and a full term as president at that age. He was fucked just as we were by imbeciles – at every level of society – more concerned about their own fucking interests than the general good of the nation.

Every single slacked-jaw moron that voted for Trump is a dumb motherfucker and because of their stupid as fuck actions, we are going to die a painful death. I hope making America great again was worth it, you simpering bastards.

hell yeah, I can finally see clean coal

Clean coal is the thing that always makes me laugh the most, because if you're from the camp that believes restarting/expanding coal use is in any way reasonable, why would you give a shit if it's "clean" coal?

I mean, the whole logic behind coal is based on climate change denial. When you say you want clean coal, you're basically admitting that climate change is an issue and just saying you want to be profoundly moronic in how you approach it.
