The truth is the majority of eligible voters in America saw Trump and didn't feel the need to reject him. Frankly, I feel more betrayed by the people on the Left who bought into the both sides bullshit and stayed home. I never had any faith in Republican voters to do anything other than loyally vote for their party. But the Susan Sarandons and Colin Kaepernicks of this cycle utterly disappointed me with their ridiculous rhetoric. From "Clinton is the danger, not Trump" to "lesser evil" / "both sides" nonsense. It was all bullshit, and just enough people on the Left ate it up to suppress their own votes and give the W to Trump.
So yeah, Americans fucked up.

Sadly, this announcement is not surprising anymore. The entire US Government energy sector will try its best to shift the balance to fossil fuels again, with the consent of all of those voters trying to keep their current lifestyles, the planet be damned.
It's infurating, especially when coming from the high of the Paris Agreement, which won't stop the temperatures from rising at least 2°C. But at least it was something. I hope the international community deals with this, as it is an affront to the wellbeing of the world population.

As an Okie, there is another local issue that many people don't realize with him being put in charge of the EPA. I'm sure most people are aware of the earthquake swarms Oklahoma has been having for the past 7 years. I think we're up over 800 this year including 2 over 5.0 and one of them nearing 6.0.
Anyway, if anyone doesn't know, they're caused by injection wells of byproduct waste from hydraulic fracturing disturbing ancient fault lines and whatnot. The state has a traffic light system when an earthquake happens that allows them to shut down activity at the injection wells around the epicenter to hinder further seismic activity. Problem with this is that Oklahoma has fairly sizeable Native American lands within the state, and jurisdiction of the wells falls under the EPA. The state has no right to shut them down, nor can they. It has to be through EPA mandate that they cease production.
Now the 2 largest ones we've had this year, and where most of the current seismic activity is clustering, is near a town called Pawnee, which is land owned by the Pawnee Nation. Only the EPA can shut them down if the need arises, and since this moron refuses to acknowledge global warming, I'm willing to bet he also is blissfully ignorant to industry induced seismic activity as well. I'm ready for more earthquakes.
