Just offering an opinion of certian titles you have lined up to play.Weird way of helping by shitting on other people's games
If you're actually trying to help, maybe don't lead with dismissiveness. There's a way to share opinions without coming off disrespectful.Just offering an opinion of certian titles you have lined up to play.
My apologies if you find that offensive.
if you are praising TDA, you don't get to talk about mediocre lol, get some self awarenessJust trying to help my man. I wasnt aware you'd already played your backlog.
Sorry long day.If you're actually trying to help, maybe don't lead with dismissiveness. There's a way to share opinions without coming off disrespectful.
If your goal really was to help, then leading with "half your backlog is garbage" probably wasn't the best way to go about it.
Good one. lol.if you are praising TDA, you don't get to talk about mediocre lol, get some self awareness
Again, your opinion. Neither right nor wrong. Its is though. Doom is much better.![]()
Depends on what card you have. If your struggling for frames then yeah I'd agree. But if you have one of the newer cards why wouldn't you turn it on?Not worth the performance hit, at all.
I disagree - I haven't tried it but if I get 60fps with PT on, on my 4080 at 1440p DLSS Q I'd say it's worth it.Not worth the performance hit, at all.
because its only playable with FG, and FG is artifacts and ghostings galore as usual.Depends on what card you have. If your struggling for frames then yeah I'd agree. But if you have one of the newer cards why wouldn't you turn it on?

It looked pretty good before, it is a noticeable difference for the first couple of levels replayed earlier.
You don'tI assume you would need frame gen to get a stable framerate?
Incorrect on both points.because its only playable with FG, and FG is artifacts and ghostings galore as usual.
With a 5090/4090 you will get above 60 without. but at that kind of base Input lag is not noticeable at x2 nor can you see any artifacting (in my experience)I assume you would need frame gen to get a stable framerate? The added input lag and artifacting = pass for me.
you mean framerate impact?5 percent graphics improvement 50 percent graphics impact
nah it is there, you dont even know where to look and try to lecture people on path tracing,Incorrect on both points.
You said it was only playable with framegen on, thats incorrect.nah it is there, you dont even know where to look and try to lecture people on path tracing,
point your gun towards the ground run around and watch it ghost all around.
yeah i can confirmIt's actually similar. RT Overdrive at 4K native in Cyberpunk nets you 30-35fps on a 5090. Same performance in DOOM The Dark Ages at the same resolution.
DLSS/FSR is obligatory for path tracingTried it on my 9070xt. Lol… 30fps or so at 1440p native.
That's factually incorrect. I was getting over 70 fps with my 5070ti @ 1440p with DLSS at balanced and everything cranked all the way up. Any card better than a 4070 can play with path tracing without framegen @ >6t0fps with the right settings.because its only playable with FG, and FG is artifacts and ghostings galore as usual.
I just read the Gamegpu benchmark, and damn! This is easily the most demanding PT game right now. To get 80 fps on the RTX 4080, I would need to run 1440p with DLSS Q and FGx2 on top of that. For comparison, Cyberpunk with similar settings runs at 120 fps. I might experiment with PT just to see how significant the difference is, but I will most likely turn it off.
You think Microsoft told id to move their engine forward the way they had planned to do so after the development of Doom Eternal while they were NOT owned by Microsoft?
Is it weekend GAF already?
FSR4 would be an option. Too bad its not there yet.DLSS/FSR is obligatory for path tracing
Trash? Your supposed to have the best and latest to fully enjoy this. Upgrade if you want future tech nowTried this on my 4090 and immediately turned this trash off.
1440p dlss balanced is like 800p base res already, i didnt buy a 5070ti to play at that. That's factually incorrect. define high enough base frame rate, FG from 50 clearly produces ghosting, just focus on the dot in the middle of the screen and see it multiply with movement. Also, FG doesn't produce any visible artifacts with a high enough base frame rate.

any higher than and i'd turn that shit right off anyways.
I mean I bought a 9800x3d to upgrade my cpu from a 13900k that will be arriving tomorrow but the performance is still meh. Rather have the higher framerate. Trade off isn't worth it. This aint no cyberpunkTrash? Your supposed to have the best and latest to fully enjoy this. Upgrade if you want future tech now
What difference does the base res make if the final output looks good? IMO DLSS 4 looks absolutely fine at 1440p balanced. I'd gladly play it at that resolution with path tracing, than native 1440p without.1440p dlss balanced is like 800p base res already, i didnt buy a 5070ti to play at that.
4070 upwards playing PT at 60fps without framegen sounds like factual BS, lets see some receipts for that.

Wait, you are on a 5070ti? Turn some settings down. If you don't want to use DLSS and frame gen with pathtracing on then I'm afraid you bought the wrong card.1440p dlss balanced is like 800p base res already, i didnt buy a 5070ti to play at that.

Asset quality and texture quality can't be fixed by RT/PT. But yeah even the actual RT implementation is very basic and PT while better is still disappointing. Can't wait to see DF give it graphics of the year. This is probably the worst looking game that uses raytracing and pathtracing.
Didn't they have some new layered textures in Doom? The textures can't be that bad.Asset quality and texture quality can't be fixed by RT/PT. But yeah even the actual RT implementation is very basic and PT while better is still disappointing. Can't wait to see DF give it graphics of the year.
