Have they started optimizing the game for lower end systems yet?

My rig isn't the worst, but DOTA ran terribly on it.

There are lots of options to compromise visual quality for performance. This thread even provides with a list of commands that will give you the best performance but making the game look horrendous.

You don't seem to understand how ODs ult really works.

The damage ODs Ult does is dependent on his Int, not his mana (His Q is based on Mana Pool). Also, it does different amounts of damage to each person, it isn't based off of one person's int. At max level, it does the difference in int x 10 in damage. So if OD has 100 int, and you had 50 int, it would do 500 damage. If you have more int then OD, it does no damage. Also, if you are close to OD's Int but not over it, it will also burn the bulk of your mana pool.

Me saying "mana pool" was just my short hand for intelligence - I knew it was based on int.

Otherwise - I've read the description of his ult before - for some reason I was thinking it was based off a single target ala Mana Void when I skimmed the description again.

In this particular case, he also may have used the ult twice - he had a refresher at that point. I was caught just at the corner of it. Would have to go back and look at the fight.

Edit: Yeah so it was actually two ults (refresher) from a 213 Int OD. The first wouldn't have killed me, but the second did. My WR had ~135-150 Int or so.

Dude has horrible mana problems, yet they recommend Power Treads instead of Arcanes.
I don't understand why they want me to build half the items on him that they recommend.

What are some good item builds for ET?

Stepped off a cliff imo. I used to play dwarven sniper a lot in dota 1; I can only remember playing sniper one time in dota 2 and that was in an ar inhouse.

How do you lose a decisive early game advantage? item choices.

I was Husk. They had at least a 4 tower advantage and were up maybe 24-10 kills? Enigma and Mag got pretty fast blinks and were controlling team fights. They had really good coordination with the torrent and boat too. Shit was bleak for about 30 minutes and I was maybe 1/4/2 at that point. Only now looking at the scoreboard did I realize (a) they had no sheep sticks in the works in an hour match against a Huskar and Lycan, (2) Enigma bought a Radiance instead of...anything else that would have actually helped, (3) the Sniper somehow got stuck on 25-minute farm, despite us never being in a position to stop them from farming in any way, (4) Kunkka tried to be cute with double crit instead of actually finishing a daed and getting a heart or something. (5) I'm okay with Mag having a BFury, but for ALL YOU HAVE after an hour is a blink and battlefury...something went terribly fucking wrong.

Bad item decisions turn comfortable wins into ugly losses.

For the last 30 minutes I terrorized their team fight positioning. When I saw them go mass Shadow Blade, I knew it would be safe for me to do the same, so several times I simply caught enigma and Mag napping waiting to jump in on the team and...well you know how Huskar with a BKB and crit does things. They lost every team fight hard for the last 30 minutes of the game including a rather nice Huskar 4v1 in their base at the end. Those wombo combos they got early got killed in the womb later. NP seemed to be the only competent one, but even he started throwing himself at rax and T4's and dying repeatedly. It's like they concluded they had won the match at 30 minutes and simply stopped playing Dota. Oh well. I'll take it.

edit: also, Satanic is by far my favorite dps carry item in the game.

He was genuinely mad too. I didn't bother to read his replies, but he kept typing so he must have been salty. Insult to injury, I suppose. He was probably already frustrated because of the stomping being laid down.

If it had been my main account, I would have been irritated.

Blink seems like a waste on the hero where his entire gimmick is he can do a safe initiation from more than 1000 range away. You don't want to blink in and stun, you want your spirit that can't be interrupted to stun.

I do think early game the way to go is Urn, Arcane, Wand though.

Just had one of the greatest Rubick games ever. 10/1/19. Nyx in the game was really fun, got Vendetta a few times with some really nice sentry placement. Snagged Jugg ult once but got killed shortly before I could use it. He was really good at spinning afterwards most of the time.

Game was really entertaining because I was having ward wars with the opposing team. Blocked pull camp at first, and then I got at least 4-5 other odd wards.

Solo Tiny in our safe lane was really good, but my heavy support of our PL really paid off in keeping him down. He almost killed me a few times with his combo, and managed to steal the stacked pull camp once.

Everyone was good sports with the playful trash talk I was throwing out. I might play on Europe West more often. I wouldn't play carry due to ping (~130MS or so), but supports are fine.

Game probably would have been lopsided if our QoP had done better.

I'd say do arcane then start building things your team needs, pipe, shiva's, sheepstick, necrobook, forcestaff, mek or just buy wards.

I gave him a fair shake and I don't think he has any place in ap solo queue. Maybe in competitive with a wombo combo team but you're not going to be pulling your weight in solo queue.

edit: Ah I forgot veil. That might be a good pickup, I don't know how it calculate's magic resists or if it is even possible to make it go into negative value with your aura.

You can only report someone if you are in the same game as them. They changed/fixed that.

Your aura, like veil, is damage amplification and not an actual minus to magic resistance.

There is a chance something drops for you every time something special happens. Mostly:

First blood
Multikills
Aegis snatch
Game over

It's random and chances of you getting one are pretty small. Specially if a lot of people are watching.

After playing All Random again, I've learned to appreciate support characters a lot more. Those early game set up are brutal if you're caught out of place. Just played a game where I got super lucky with a invis rune. Warded bot rune and pull camp and thought it'd be snatched by the time I got it. Ended up picking it up and killing a Sniper mid.

On the same note, I only report people for excessive offensive language. Some guy was throwing the n word around to heroes on the other team, so I reported him, same team or not it doesn't matter.

If someone says 'fuck you' a lot or 'bitch', I really don't care.

When I learned it involved Leshrac and a Void, I could guess what was going to happen before even watching it right down to the Mask of Madness.

Though I was expecting Edict rather than Pulse Nova. Still!

That's definitely how I feel as well, it's almost as if the model was stuck in a weird limbo zone of trying to do the same design but different. Redesign him in the vein of a Renaissance Arquebusier, do something quirky and interesting.

I think that Mouz lineup had potential, but so many things went wrong so early on that it was unrecoverable. Too much to list everything.

And I'm not sure how you deal with Liquid in general. They're just so strong with all their players that you can't really cripple them in the draft. Bulba probably the most singularly dangerous, but you can't really ban just against him with the first two bans without some severe concessions elsewhere, especially since they'll pick his hero by the 3rd pick anyway.
