This patch is probably the most noob friendly ever. Well, besides techies and bloodseeker. Dota 2 has been becoming more casual since 6.80.

They increased passive gold gain
Less emphasis on last hits (creeps give less gold)
Made more things consistent like magic immunity
Updated tooltips
Comeback mechanics are much more generous
Games are shorter
Many support items are cheaper
+ alot of other smaller changes, like the way gold is distributed on tower/barrack kills.
