Has there ever been a good meta where Morphling was viable? Including DotA as well.

I take it you've never heard the phrase, to get "Morphling'd" lol? Morph was a god during TI2 and he received some of the biggest nerfs any hero has ever received in dota up until then (in one single patch). So the hope for every OP hero afterwards was that they wouldn't be "Morphling'd," but receive some surgical treatment lol.

I don't see why you'd want to pick morphling except for a super pocket draft, as a carry he's just.. not convincing ?

He is really really really good in 6.86.

The adaptive strike damage buff is huge for early levels and the manacost reduction is huge for later levels. Ethereal blade has been buffed the last few patches, linkens has been buffed tremendously in the last few patches, and the biggest buff of all was to his Morph shift rate. It shifts at faster intervals and it straight up shifts faster at level 3/4 I believe, double the speed of last patch at level 4. So as long as they don't have a silence, you can pretty much just run around at 500-1000 hp early on and never die, because you can always shift health instantly, on demand.

Late game when you have plenty of str/agi to work with and you're not worried at all about silences because of you'll have some combination of linken's, manta, or BKB; you pretty much feel like a god--how the fk is anyone going to kill you.

I think storm is OK, not great, but he's still a decent hero and the recent electric vortex mana reduction was pretty big. Troll, on the other hand, is just absolute garbage. He's received a few nice fervor buffs since his big nerf patch, but he still needs another patch or two to be viable again. I'm still saddened by the troll nerfs, losing 15 base damage would have been more than enough (I remember when naga lost 12 and invoker lost 4 around TI2 and invoker/naga pickers went nuts); I just don't know why icefrog felt the need to further hammer his ultimate.

I still remember when troll was remade in dota1 and first introduced in dota2, his ulti was something like 12-13 seconds for troll, with allies only benefiting for half the duration. Everyone complained that until allies got full duration, the hero was trash. So allies got full duration troll ulti years back...and now fast forward and the ultimate duration for allies AND troll is at 5 seconds... just lol.

I think there's also a bug with the way MKB interacts with basher and troll's bash in particular (this was fixed in source1 but reintroduced in source2 I 'think', not 100% sure). MKB procs are overriding and cutting short bashes, so you lose some major damage and CC when they both proc. Again, I'm not entirely sure on this one, but if that's the case, this is pretty much a huge thorn in troll's side since he does like to build MKB later (and has to in some cases to counter evasion).

Those are just my feelings anyhow, you'll obviously get different answers/thoughts from different peeps.

I have. I watched TI2.

I'm working on a theory that Morphling being good is bad for the game. TI3 was a lot more fun to watch than TI2 and every time Morphling's poked his head back into the meta since he gets battered.

lol I got LoE today after doing some research on what would be the most efficient way of getting cards. I'll probably get the other adventures at some point as well, I'll probably never buy card packs though unless there's a really good deal or something, just doesn't seem worth it at all unless you really need to have all the god tier decks. I just want enough cards to be able to have some variety in my decks.

Also the adventures seem fun.

can't hurt there were some official windows 7/8.1 isos around, but I "THINK" microsoft took them down. They are volume home/pro editions (the ones they give to students mostly).

The use the media creation tool from here: https://www.microsoft.com/es-es/software-download/windows10 and update from that. Don't bother trying to update from windows update, you need like 1000000000000000000000000000 updates and restarts to get the windows upgrade notification.

My mac has bootcamp, but I do have a legal windows 7 pro cd-rom. Maybe just google something like "free windows 10 for bootcamp partition" or "windows 7/8 legal iso trial" something. Windows 10 license is linked to your motherboard and it activates only through upgrading from 7/8 afaik, if you install windows 10 right away it won't activate the license.
