I'm shocked that TI isn't like DOTA's E3. Like if I were Valve I'd make Source 2 or parity a huge part of the event. They sort of did that with Techies last year but it feels like they could do more.

Techies is way stronger with Arcanes + Soul Ring than Tranqs + Soul Ring. But he's uncommonly mana hungry.

Arcanes need a buff. Soul Ring is easier for a hard up support to buy, and its regen is very valuable. But Arcanes are so much better for the team. I think they're still worth getting, especially if you're going to build a blood stone (since you can use them to build the Soul Booster), but something needs to be done to make it worth supports' while to buy them.

I greatly prefer arcanes. Even if I don't need mana, there's always someone who does. Item just has more utility.

I know that the old school players in nip have played quite a bit of dota. Have played against f0rest 20-30 times in dota at pickup.euro and scrimmed against 4FC with gtr as a standin in dota 2 (in 13 I think?)

He's uploading more frequently again and in almost every one of his videos he gives great insight and advice on how to handle certain situations, you could even go back to his older videos since most of them still hold up.

Players of all levels can learn from him unless you're S4 or something.

I dunno, I feel that arcanes are pretty weak, all things considered. You'd have to nerf Soul Ring super hard to make it not worth the extra regen, armour and move speed of the tranquil/SR combo.

Getting rid of the activation cost of arcanes would be a start.
