Dragon Age: Inquisition |OT2| Leave the damn Hinterlands!

Hmmm I'm at the point that I need to choose whether or not to side with the sentinels.

I think I will on this play through as I've played with a kinda neutral/help everyone style.

On my next playthrrough I'm gonna play as a Mage who wants to destroy everyone/thing so That would make more sense :p

Edit: okay just finished the game,
what the fuck just happened with Solas o_O

Ok, so I freed the soldier from Celene's private quarters to testify/blackmail, but the blackmail option for her doesn't appear when I say all 3 of them were at fault.

Any reason for this?

On the home stretch at long last. All that's left to do is a few companion-missions, Emprise Du Lion, as many war-table missions as I can and then the final story mission. Should be done well in time for GTA Online's Heists, then I can relax mucking around with those until the crazy end of March release-schedule.

Towards-the-end-game spoiler question, regarding helping to choose a person to fill an important role:

There needs to be a new Divine. I half-recall accidentally flashing up a spoiler before that Morrigan can be chosen for the. Am I misremembering what I glanced at?If not, what's the best way to get her into the position?

So, as I previously said after my Rogue archer and Mage (both ranged fighters) I decided to roll a 2handed warrior.

And obviously he is melee...and I really need to say this:

The lock on camera is simply pathetic...!!

Seriously can anyone play with this shit camera lock?? Try locking onto a rogue target and try to play the damn game... did Bioware even check this??? I mean its fucking embarrassing...

The camera position is crap, you have 0 control, the target movement can make you vomit, even the way the camera works, it actually impairs your vision of the battlefield...you cant see shit really...

I ended up never using the camera lock, but then this creates the infuriating situation where you simply target the wrong enemy easily.

What a messed up fucked up camera this is. Granted with ranged characters it is not so much of an issue, but this camera completely destroys melee gaming. What a fuck up...

I dont even want to think of rolling a dagger rogue based on my experience with this.

I don't recall seeing Morrigan as an option, from what I remember the choice is between Vivienne, Cassandra and Lelianna

Lock-on is completely unnecessary for melee, especially for 2H. I never used it once in a 90-hour playthrough. Still not using it with my current dagger rogue.

Alright, I bought the game because of the sale on PSN. And I think I'm already regretting it.

Back when DA:O came out, I didn't like it. The universe was lackluster compared to D&D, the classes and skills were completely unbalanced and the overall gameplay wasn't very interesting (it felt a lot like an MMO with those cooldowns and mana).

I didn't play DA2 at all.

I've seen many videos and read many reviews for DAI and knew I wouldn't like it. But for some reason, I still had hope that maybe there was something I was missing, so I ended up buying it.

I'm just about past the prologue and took a stroll in the village meeting up with the Inquisition council. And I didn't like any second so far. The combat is the worst I've ever seen. The 'action' view is just button mashing (I play a 2-handed melee) and you have no clue wtf the other guys are up to. I tried the tactical view once but it's a mess. It worked on Baldur's Gate and alike because there was no cooldowns to handle. It was pure strategy and using your ressources sparingly.

I hope I'll like a bit more as I move on with the story because if I don't, I'll hate myself for blowing up 40€ in a game I knew I wouldn't like.

Waaaaaaat?

Morrigan as Divine? Morrigan? Yeah, you're surely not remembering correctly because only in Bizarro World would Chantry loathing Morrigan be named Divine. Then again, with how the writers like pulling the irony card on Morrigan in Inquisition maybe that is some easter egg, lol.

Reroll a ranged character and enjoy.

Yeah playing as a warrior bored me to tears as well.
I find myself playing mostly mages and archers.

I don't know:
If you're playing the character as someone who absolutely despises the Chantry, Morrigan would be a good choice in order to destroy it from within.Never the less, I obviously remembered it wrong, so I'll go for the next best thing: Hardened Leliana.

Is it me or is the Flaskmaster passive bugged? It has never activated for me, there's a 25% chance apparently going by the tooltip.

the real-time combat is too messy for me, so I almost always use tact cam, sure battles are longer but I feel like I'm in control. There are not enough AI options for me to use real-time on tough fights.

besides there's no way the AI can plan and execute ability combos like this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZ-ZPsiHDeQ

So I'm told to go to the war table to trigger the
what pride has wrought
mission but nothing is actually on the table for me to interact with. Wasn't planning on doing the mission yet but if this is a glitch I'd rather not spend another dozen hours on other quests to throw it away once I want to proceed with the campaign.

So I was kinda bummed out by the different impressions of the game after release of the quests being MMO-ish but I found it for cheap and just bought it straight up.

I usually research my games ALOT before purchasing, but I thought why the hell not, there has to be something good about it!

Any tips ?

Yep, side quests are totally mmo'ish(?). I think there's no story driven side quests at all(?), excluding the
companion
missions

Always have a tank in your party unless you're a well geared mage with the First Enchanter specialisation. When approaching an enemy party, command your tank to charge in and get as much aggro on all the enemies as possible to prevent them from picking your party apart one by one.

Take your time doing the main quests, there are useful side quests as well. Make it habit to craft and equip your companions, play with it. I was completely new to the crafting system that I totally ignored it and ended up dying quite a lot on harder levels because I was still wearing tier 1 aquipment. Enemies have strengths and weaknesses and you can identify them, use it to your advantage.

Be sure to sell the junk in your inventory before you begin a quest. I tend to hoard as much gear as I find and vendor the useless ones. If you're new to the Dragon Age franchise you might want to check out the previous games for plot reasons. If you're playing on the PC, then maybe you can check out Dragon Age Keep and edit the save you want.

Approaching the end of the game now after 80 hours

I must be one of the few who never ever used the strategic camera thing in battles. I just go in and hope for the best. Im over level 20 now so I never die unless I come up against a tricky dragon.

Anyway everyone beware of the mission "Wicked eyes and Wicked Heart" It has a lot of bugs in it (Ps4)

I had to restart the entire mission at one stage

I didn't use the strategic camera at all on my playthrough, I didn't come across any bugs that i can remember on the PS4.

Ok. So I finally finished it. Loved it, and while there are probably hundreds of posts about the end, I'm going to lay down my thoughts

Noooooooo, Solas. You were such a bro. Now I'm going to have to lock you away in the DLC or the next game? So the way I'm taking it is Solas wants to get back to the golden city to unlock the elven gods he locked away a long time ago. He was using Cory as the guy to open the doors since he was too weak to after his long nap. Sad. However, he and Morrigan are my favorite two characters in the DA series, so, I guess the upshot is I'll be seeing more of them.

The upcoming Patch 5 for Dragon Age: Inquisition contains a number of improvements to gameplay and stability, as well as some new features. We’ve added party storage to the Undercroft at Skyhold and the ability to adjust the size of subtitles.

Below you will find a full list of changes and additions for all systems.

PC Specific: While we’ve added the ability to toggle mouse look, this feature is still under development and does not act optimally under all conditions. We are continuing to work on this feature to improve it for future releases.

For patch notes in other languages, click here.

Man I swear if the Black Emporium isnt in this patch or its DLC Im done with this game...
If I've learned anything from this game its not to buy Bioware games until a year out.. smh......

Started to download on PS4. 447 MB. Really wanted the Black Emporium and ability to color armors before finishing off my play through.

Kind of puzzling if it isn't in there after their announcement a few weeks ago

So can anyone confirm if the storage is live in the PS4 patch.

They have started recruiting for the next patch so if the black emporium is not here it will be the next patch.
