Nice! Thanks.Go to Val Royeaux, find the vendor who only has one thing to sell you.
Level 16 now and I still haven't chosen a specialisation.
Rage Mift looks good but I always have Solas in the party so two feels a little redundant, maybe. I've also read that it can be a little weak against bosses as ability weakness/CC won't affrect them and 2 Rift Mages will only compound that.
Necromancy looks interesting and I like the idea of temporarily turning enemies but it just seems kind of... evil and I'm not sure it fits my character.
That leaves Knight Enchanter but I don't really like the idea of a mage in melee. Supposed to be quite OP too?
What to do, what to do.

If a platinum is something that interests you, plan ahead. Achievements are missable and a bit buggy.
This was my first Dragon Age game and I'm 4 trophies away from 100% it. I thoroughly enjoyed the game. It helps to read a bit of lore to understand the story and certain characters. You should be find though.i'm about to start playing this this weekend. i've never played a dragon age game before. anything i should know/do/read before i begin? i'm hoping that i enjoy it. haven't played an rpg since mass effect 2 i think.

At BioWare, we’re always looking for new ways to empower our players. Whether in person or online, we firmly believe in collecting feedback and working with our community to ensure we’re addressing issues important to both new and experienced players.
For Dragon Age: Inquisition, we’ve developed a faster and more compressed patch schedule than any prior BioWare game. However, due to the nature of the certification process, it can often still take weeks after developing a fix to release it on different platforms. Because of this, we continue to explore new ways to foster better communication between our players and developers.
Enter the Patch 5 beta program.
We want to open up our upcoming Patch 5 to a select group of PC players via signup in a closed, developer-like environment. This not only allows us to more quickly identify and respond to future issues, but gives our developers a great, new way to work directly with our players.
Patch 5 will be the biggest patch we’ve released to date, and it addresses a number of key concerns for our community.
The Black Emporium contains four high-level stores that sell epic weapons, powerful accessories, new crafting materials and schematics, and other hard-to-find items.
As part of the beta, participants will have access to the Black Emporium, a mysterious underground shop run by an immortal proprietor. There, Inquisitors can find powerful artifacts and tools to aid their cause, purchase epic weapons, powerful accessories, new crafting materials and schematics, and even change their voice and facial appearance using the Mirror of Transformation.
In efforts to support different playstyles, we’ve also included the ability to bind additional mouse buttons, as well as an auto-attack key for single player. We’re also including the option to adjust the size of subtitles, and added a shader quality setting to the graphics options, giving players more versatility when running Inquisition.
In Skyhold, we’re adding party storage to the Undercroft—a new feature that many players asked for and we’re happy to finally add. And for those looking to spice up their look, we’ve added an item tinter that lets players use crafting materials to change the color of armor.

Save often, and keep a large selection of save files.
Casual and Normal mode are way too easy.
The Knight Enchanter mage specialization is easy mode on any difficulty.

The only one I had problems with was the Dragons' Bane trophy. I had to kill three of the dragons twice because of it. Just save the game before each fight, and replay them if a bug occurs.

While entirely welcome, after 127hrs it is a little late.
ok, good to know. thanks!

I've had dragons just instantly disappear instead of playing their falling down animations, but they left the loot. And I've had other enemies just freeze upon hitting 0hp but not a dragon. I did get the common bug where the dragonslayer cheev didn't pop.

Same reaction as mine... is that it???Put 80 hours in. Disappointed In the ending. Expected more. And theextra at the end confused me a bit
Hello
Just hit lvl 12 on my knight echanter playing nightmare and I was wondering if I could get some advice on gear and skills because I am feeling overwhelmed at times.
Thanks for any response.
My build at level 19 was this one (if you are going for a completionist playthrough you'll probably reach level 24, plus two amulet of power and one extra point if you are a human).
Since you won't be able to have all those skills at this point I'd prioritise these ones. Spirit Blade should be your main attack, replacing the standard R2 staff. Fade Shield should allow you to keep your barrier up pretty much non-stop, and if it ever falls you'll have the Barrier spell to get them to full strength again (if you want to have an additional failsafe you could also get Mana Surge). Clean burn makes it so that the more you attack with SB, the shorter your cooldowns for other spells are (super useful for Fade Cloak and Decloaking Blast). Conductive Current works well, as you'll expend mana quickly with SB.
As for gear I'd get a staff with Guard on Hit. Schematic farming in Sulevin will net you Seer Staff, and the Suledin Keep vendor has the First Enchanter Staff schematic. If you have The Short List perk and access to the Hissing Wastes you might want to refresh the inventory of the vendor there for Superior Battlemage Armor (if you don't have the perk you'll be able to get Sturdy Battlemage armor instead).
So after just on 30 hours, I have finally reachedSkyhold
Roughly how far into the game percentage wise I?

Finally was able to put some hefty hours into the game. I have to say, I am impressed so far.
I am clocking in at 17 hours played and I just got to the Skyhold, so it feels like I have an entire game ahead of me still. If only I didn't have the OCD tendencies to look at my character's eyelashes, they looked normal in the CC but for some reason they stand out a lot more on my character than on somebody like Cullen. I shall not be tempted to recreate him!
I suck at using the tactical view. Don't think I've properly activated it during a single batte yet. I'm too impatient.
