We've been through this argument a hundred times, and that doesn't absolve him of dooming 7/8 universes to immediate doom instead of at some arbitrary point many years away (because gowasu travelled thousands of years in to the future, none of this would have ever been a problem for a tone currently living)
Good point. I was in a long discussion a while ago about how no one knew exactly when Zeno would get to destroying those Universes if it weren't for Goku. My argument was that the GP's wording made it seem like even HE didn't know. And arguments against me came down to "they would have already been erased because of Vados's words and angels shouldn't be questioned" when I simply didn't think it indicated that she knew of Zeno's plans or that she was even trying to imply she knew exactly when Zeno would destroy the universes. I always thought she was making a more general statement on the matter. Gowasu going 1000 years into the future proves that Zeno wouldn't have gotten around to it by then.
I always stood by the idea that regardless of if Goku did actually "save" the universes in a way, it was still a super reckless/careless/assholish move by Goku anyway. Though I'm not complaining. I like this about Goku. It makes him an interesting protagonist to me. It's a shame they are kind of backtracking on that angle a bit.
I enjoy the "stupidity" of Goku in the sense of how he'll do all sorts of crazy things to get his fighting hit. I enjoy things like getting caught in the god energy that Frieza threw at him less so, but still even that I'm pretty ok with. I enjoy the way he generally approaches situations of adversity.
Stupidity I don't like about Goku involves his general goofy airheadedness, and he can maybe lighten up situations a bit too much that should be more serious.
