Why isn't my lvl 28 Maribel (and to a lesser extent Hero) not getting class rank up's yet Ruff has already mastered 4 vocations? It is because he started at lower levels?

From world encounters I get few ranks ups and from what I understand the traveller's tabelts (what I typically use to master vocations) have level caps, but I don't know how to tell what level they are. The DLC tablets are too powerful at my level. What should I be doing to get rank ups?

She doesn't level scale, but she does catch up quick. Plus it's worth it since maribel is the best

I did so much grinding in this game I'm kind of trying to finish the game this week to be honest lol not sure I feel like grinding another character : /

Unless there is a secret place with lot of metal slime maybe ? :p

Hubble in the present spawns metal king slimes like cray after monsters start appearing on the world map

Is there anything else I need to do in
Greenthumbs Garden after the MC and team find out that it was Dill and the woman who created and tried to poison that other lover in the triangle? I have a feeling this scenario is done, but I'm not sure. The party isn't telling me anything aside from [...].

Do you have access to the other city? With the church on the hill behind it? Talk to the NPCs/Church NPCs

Just got to the Envoy in Hubble
, he is destroying my party. I actually have everyone leveling basic classes, so I plan to change them back to their good classes, but I'm not sure if that's enough if he's muting us instantly. I don't have a heal skill, only spells. I also don't have any skills that cure fizzle, is this normal?

So I just got
the flying carpet and cleansed the tower for the professor. Visited the mini medal guy, the likeness and was in the mansion of the rich guy. Where else should I go? Kinda too lazy to search the world map.

You should have healing staves and stones to pass around to your team to hold in their inventories since they can be used as items in place of healing spells and can't be blocked from use (unless the character is incapacitated) or reflected. Fizzle is a status that doesn't have "good" ways of removing in battle, so you should have a contingency plan.

Did you visit the shrine next to La Bravoure?

Your next main goal is to get Pike's Sizzle Stone.

50ish hours in question...

So I just got the skystone and now need to find a new pedestal. Apparently there's a hole in the ground I should head to? I have no idea :/

I forget whether you need to go home first, but you will talk to Kiefer's dad I believe. There's also a place on the overworld that you can reach now.

Yeah, I was going to turn everyone back into their best classes and load up everyone with Strong Medicines and healing items that are permanent before trying it again.

I'm glad the game stepped up the difficulty, the last few bosses have been cake walks.

Keep the Sands of Time in your inventory on your character with the highest agility and use it if he fizzles your sage early in the fight. He doesn't have a ton of health, but he will tear you apart if you can't multiheal. There is a bit of luck involved in the fight, took me 5 tries.

I recommend anybody atarting the game to look for mini medals in your encounters. Collecting those come in handy in the late stages of the game, when exchanging them for prizes, particularly some items for the final battle.

So does the tablet detector light up only when there is an accessible tablet nearby? Or can it light up when there is a tablet nearby but you can't get it yet?

Wondering how much time I should spend looking for this tablet, I a, beginning to assume someone is holding it but I can't get it yet.

Typically it lights up for all accessible tablets nearby except one
Which is the tablet kept by the Medal collector and will only give it to you, when you bring him enough medals

Cool, I'll try that, I didn't know you could use that in battle.

Thanks

How can you view the # of mini medals in your inventory without going to King Maximo? I know they explained in-game, but I've forgotten and for the life of me can't find them since they're not regular inventory items.

Party status screen. Basically there's a section to look at "party" stats in the same menu as individual members.

Wow, there's a whole screen there I've never looked at once in my 60 hours of play through, mostly because I always looked at the top screen for party stats. Thanks for that!

Alternatively, just use the Ripple Rapier to cast Bounce on everyone and laugh as all he can do is hit you with a stick

Nice, I hope I haven't sold it.

The sands of time did the trick, didn't even have to change my party members into good classes.

Can that weapon be bought, sounds like a good item to have.

After the cataclysm, when can you get back to All-Trades? This exposition is so tiresome and Zoom is all failure, and my hero is stuck at capped Healslime.

After waking up the first elemental (the volcano?)you'll gain the Sea Dragon again and have the option to visit Alltrades

Whew! Finally completed the entire game after 83 hours (a lot of that was unnecessary job grinding since had I known that the game would be as long as it was, I wouldn't have worried about whether or not I could try out most of the classes)

I'm thinking of catching up on DLC content before going to the post-game dungeons, because I still have to find roughly 16 mini-medals and that's not going to be fun.

45 hours in and i need
a stone, but it seems it is with some rich guy.
What i have to do?

Leave the house and he'll talk to you.

Or if you haven't found the house, it's on the island just east of Estard, and was inaccessible until you got the magic carpet.

Just make sure you speak to everyone in town you will end up going to
the light house to speak with the armor seller guy and then come back into town to learn that the priest got it but hid it under the altar
os just speak to everyone in town and follow what they say :)

If you need more help:

I'm not sure which of these you've done, but you have to: Talk to the nun at the church, then talk to the old guy on the top floor of the casino, then talk to the guy in the tunnel with the cats(downstairs near the first floor casino token exchange area), then talk to the lady in the armor shop from the back door, then climb the beacon and talk to the armor shop guy, then talk to the priest in the casino bar, then talk to the nun in the bedroom where the priest is sleeping, and then finally you can examine the altar for the fragment piece

Okay,
I took Carraway to his dead lover's burial site north of Wilted Heart, and I have no idea where to go next. This is getting pretty annoying.

No idea what you're referring to, but I'm glad I've completed it. Scary....

Later on in the game there are fragment locations that expect you to have a certain party member composition, but if you come back with a different party and view cutscenes it will permanently remove a member from your party and the game also won't allow you to beat the game even with a limited party.

Ah got it, scary tho.

Does anybody know what I'm missing in order to access the post-game content?

I apparently need a chest that's on a cliff in Estard to get the last fragment needed to enter the first extra dungeon, but I already have that chest and in the fragment list it shows that I never picked up any mysterious fragment in Estard. "List Next Fragment" also tells me that there's no fragment to pick up.

For clarification the fragments I'm missing are the bottom most one on the first page of gray fragments (after Sunken Citadel and before Coral Cave), and the last three after the one in The Haven.

So I finished the game yesterday, last boss was not too hard my party all had multi heal and could resurrect Hero was champion with the giga slash skill .

Maybe it's me but I feel like the game was way too long, no wonder not a lot of people finished this game on PS1 if it was longer, my game time is 74h and I heard it was at least 100h for the PS1 version .
Also this is the first game where I think they should have stick with random encounter, I mean dungeon were littered with enemies I was getting into fights every 3-4 sec , this is Breath of Fire 2 random encounter rate level we are talking here .

But I still liked the game overall it had a great ending and the vocation system was fun .
The different story on each island were also very interesting .

Thanks for this ;)

I'd say your ok , more than okay actually unless you did not grind some vocations.
My party was Hero 38 Ruff 36 Aishe 34 and Maribel 32 when I finished the game :)

Did you get the one in the well in Estard that only shows up during the "victory tour?" If you didn't, I think you will unfortunately have to beat the last boss again.
